   Our group of seven recently had wonderful time at Batifole. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We most appreciated not being rushed out the door. Batifole provides a high quality dining experience in a very comfortable, France-evoking and welcoming atmosphere. Merci beaucoup!

   Manages to be intimate while being a bit on the louder side (bistro style). Excellent service and food. It is not terribly busy outside do to its location (on the edge of East Chinatown) so probably really nice for outdoor dining during the summer (unless you want to people-watch).

   Service was terrific, even the chef came over to our table to ask if we were enjoying our meal. The 3 of us all had the "duck two ways" and it was a hit with all of us. Appetizers all very good. Would definitely recommend Batifole to friends and certainly plan on returning.

   Got a chance to share a great find with friends new to the city. As usual, Batifole did not disappoint. The cassoulet was wonderfully flavourful and the ambience was romantic and bustling.

   Everything we ordered was really amazing. The wine was great. the escargot and duck were really tasty. The portion sizes were perfect.

   The OpenTable "recommendation" categories leave much to be desired. The categories are irrelevant to restaurants such as Batifole so we decided not to select any of them. Frankly, we would like to keep this little gem to ourselves and share it with a few friends. That however, would be an unforgivable disservice to Pascal and his team. Batifole just recently celebrated its first year under Pascal's ownership. The event itself was an unforgettable feast of Pascal's culinary brilliance. We're not dining connoisseurs. We simply go by taste and personal enjoyment. If you're looking for an exquisite taste of France with a personal touch, all in a quiet, unassuming environment ... Batifole is the place.

   Batifole never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Instead of Gerrard St I feel like I am in New York. The fish was tender and flavourful and my husband had to resist licking the plate when he finished his steak. Keep up the good work!

   First time at Batifole and we were delighted with the attentive service with great food. We shared the House Terrine Board with Chef Pickles & Mustard as our appetizer to start. It was delicious and beautifully presented. We both had the Duck two ways, confit leg & pan seared breast with Calvados sauce and apple confit for our main and it was made perfectly. For dessert we shared the Almond Eclaire with vanilla creme, and plum and prunes coulis and it was delicious as well. Chef/Owner Pascal Geffroy has created a wonderful French restaurant that is not pretentious, has excellent service and excellent food. We can't wait to go back for another great evening and a wonderful meal.

   Two friends out for a delicious birthday dinner in a warm and attractive environment. We tried the two different duck dishes which were so delicious. We will come back to try the fish entrees and more. Service was friendly. Location is great (and a lovely surprise) for us locals. Love this neighbourhood gem which has the goods to attract visitors from all over GTA. Merci, Batifole!

    Batifole is not a fancy French restaurant with fancy dishes. The food is just simple, but good. I feel I eat in a friend's home. The server always has a lovely smile on her face. She was very helpful and provided good suggestions on both food and wine. We ordered daily special John Dory, and the Flat Iron Steak from the regular menu. Both dishes were delicious. I liked the creamy sauce of the fish. The quality of the steak was good and it was cooked perfectly - real medium rare. The chef, Geffroy, loves to get out from the kitchen to understand what people like or dislike - professional and friendly.
