So great! The food is incredible! Be aware, you eat with your hands, using the bread, but it's delicious and fun! Such a fun date!

Finally had a chance to relax and dine. I live a few blocks ways and never get a chance. Wish the menu had fish as does Ethiopian restaurants in the lower east side Manhattan.

The food was excellent. The atmosphere was intimate. We dined before a screening at BAM. Highly recommended. We have eaten Ethiopian food all over the world. This was some of the tastiest.

I was very happy to go to Bati Ethiopian during New York African Food Week. I not only got to eat yummy food, but was able to support a black-owned business. I heard of them through the blog Black-owned Brooklyn. The atmosphere is great, the food is tasty, and the honey mead is sweet with a nutty aftertaste. My boyfriend and I got assorted meat and vegetarian platters and it came all together on one tray. It was somewhat hard to tell what was meat and what wasn't, but we both eat meat so it didn't matter. It all tasted good!

Great vegan options, Food is authentic and delicious. It's in fort green so on a sunny day it is great people watching if your near a window. You really see all the faces of Brooklyn.

My wife introduced me to this place. Initially, I was concerned with eating at a place without utensils and I don't do well with spicy. However there are options not too spicy, eating with just our hands was fun (there was a serving spoon) and, the staff is super friendly!

It is an outstanding restaurant with a great service and food, even though GF full menu should be available all the time, it was my second time there but on a weekday and unfortunately as the first time it was not GF injera available, which is, in my opinion, fundamental base for all its menu, we were provided by an amazing dinner without injera and GF, but still injera is a must to have with their food
