We had an impeccable meal in Batard to celebrate our anniversary on June 11,2021 .Every aspect of the meal was superb! The service was friendly, professional, and relaxed! Some good wines on the wine list under $70,Straight Shooter Pinot Noir was smooth and fruity!
The 3 course pre-fixe at $79 is a steal for the quality of the food! We had cold pea soup and house cured salmon for first course, halibut and striped bass for main course, and strawberry trifle and coconut parfait for dessert !Each course was amazing quality! Server corked our remaining wine and put it in a shopping bag!One of our favorite restaurants!

All the food was amazing, simple yet unexpected, fresh and colorful, and tasted so good. Service was also great, our waitress knew how to be attentive when needed but give us space when we were busy chatting away.

Amazing meal in friendly, unpretentious, atmosphere. I had a beautiful gin martini in a vintage glass, foie gras imaginatively (and successfully) paired with unripe strawberries, a comforting spring risotto, and a rich “candy bar” dessert. Very satisfied dining solo at this special place.
Spectacular wine list, burgundy oriented, with a delicious meal. Was looking forward to going there and was still positively surprised. Definitely recommend for a nice dinner in a special occasion.
The food was ok but not worth the price at all. The portions were pretty small and I got the veal tenderlion which wasn't that tasty.

I loved everything about my meal here. I had the cappelletti to start followed by the veal medallions with sweetbreads. Exquisite! We also enjoyed a nice bottle of Pinot Noir from Bourgogne and finished with the candy bar. A dark chocolate lovers dream! So happy this place is in my neighborhood. I highly recommend.

Batard is back! Chef Doug has taken this dining experience to new heights. The Beef Tartare and Bacon wrapped Veal are must-haves! But so is the Risotto, Cappelletti, and the Chicken...and DESSERT!

Everything we ate was fresh and delicious at Batard. My friend and I ordered the three course meal option at $75 per person. We had Beef Tartare, Spring Risotto, Nine Herb Cappelletti, Roast Chicken and Veal Tenderloin. Our favorite dish was the Spring Risotto made with fresh ramps. The roast chicken was also perfectly seasoned and juicy. The restaurant is simply decorated and was quiet the night we were there as occupancy levels were still low. The wine list is impressive. Our pairings were perfect. The owner came to our table and introduced himself. He was very warm and thoughtful. I highly recommend this restaurant and hope to come back real soon.

One of my favorite dining experience in the city! The food and the service will take you on an exploration journey.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Even when they change up the menu, it doesn't matter, because I have found something else to love every single time. As for pandemic protocols, everyone is following them to a tee and taking everyone's safety into account, both the staff and the patrons. There's hand sanitizer at every table, everyone was wearing masks when they were supposed to, and all the inside tables have been appropriately spaced out. I really hope this place makes it through the 2nd wave of Covid-19...and they also bring back the cauliflower soup (it was my favorite dish). If you haven't been there, you should go at least once.

With COVID 19 the restaurant looses it ambiance but the company made up for it.
Food was impeccable but the service was not so refined. Was quite disappointed that the sommeliere without asking our permission to have some wine (he helped himself when he opened it) which was not appreciated. I saw but didn't comment as the damage was already done, and our server had no idea how to collect plates, and dropped a few the during the night of service, which was slightly embarrassing since it was empty and not busy. Overall experience was average due to the wine sommeliere and the server! Happy the food was delicious and the wine!
Was excited to try this place out, the pictures of the food looked amazing. Also I found this place on the Michelin website because it was awarded one star. I will say the food was really good and I'm assuming based on that alone is why they were awarded the star. I was sorely disappointed by the service. I was there with my partner for his birthday and was let down by the service. To be fair the servers were all very friendly but not attentive at all. It was so disorganized, no one was assigned any particular section. We sat indoor but felt like all the attention was for the outdoor diners which were a majority of the guests. Maybe it was due to short staff. Also I noted in my reservation it was for a birthday but when we ordered dessert I was expecting a candle or "Happy Birthday", but was disappointed again. I thought maybe they don't do that but then I saw the table across from us also celebrating a birthday with a candle on their dessert. Food was great, service not so great. Maybe just order the food to go.
A fantastic and delicious meal, with a nice ambience outside. Tables were set far apart which allowed us to fully enjoy our meal while being entirely compliant with social distancing practices. Hand sanitizer was available at every table. The service was impeccable and everything was wonderful. Would love to go back and would highly recommend.
