This is one of my favorite restaurants. Even when they change up the menu, it doesn't matter, because I have found something else to love every single time. As for pandemic protocols, everyone is following them to a tee and taking everyone's safety into account, both the staff and the patrons. There's hand sanitizer at every table, everyone was wearing masks when they were supposed to, and all the inside tables have been appropriately spaced out. I really hope this place makes it through the 2nd wave of Covid-19...and they also bring back the cauliflower soup (it was my favorite dish). If you haven't been there, you should go at least once.

With COVID 19 the restaurant looses it ambiance but the company made up for it.
Food was impeccable but the service was not so refined. Was quite disappointed that the sommeliere without asking our permission to have some wine (he helped himself when he opened it) which was not appreciated. I saw but didn't comment as the damage was already done, and our server had no idea how to collect plates, and dropped a few the during the night of service, which was slightly embarrassing since it was empty and not busy. Overall experience was average due to the wine sommeliere and the server! Happy the food was delicious and the wine!

Was excited to try this place out, the pictures of the food looked amazing. Also I found this place on the Michelin website because it was awarded one star. I will say the food was really good and I'm assuming based on that alone is why they were awarded the star. I was sorely disappointed by the service. I was there with my partner for his birthday and was let down by the service. To be fair the servers were all very friendly but not attentive at all. It was so disorganized, no one was assigned any particular section. We sat indoor but felt like all the attention was for the outdoor diners which were a majority of the guests. Maybe it was due to short staff. Also I noted in my reservation it was for a birthday but when we ordered dessert I was expecting a candle or "Happy Birthday", but was disappointed again. I thought maybe they don't do that but then I saw the table across from us also celebrating a birthday with a candle on their dessert. Food was great, service not so great. Maybe just order the food to go.

A fantastic and delicious meal, with a nice ambience outside. Tables were set far apart which allowed us to fully enjoy our meal while being entirely compliant with social distancing practices. Hand sanitizer was available at every table. The service was impeccable and everything was wonderful. Would love to go back and would highly recommend.

Outstanding. Celery tartar is a particularly tasty textural treat. Well spaced outdoor seating is another plus.

Went here on a Thursday night. I decided to sit inside and the restaurant had very good covid measures and space between each of the booths. I was solo dining, as my friend couldn’t make it, but I had such a great experience. Servers were attentive and gave great recommendations, plus the chef sent over a special dish for me to try. Would return again, seems like a great spot for small groups or special occasions.

It was a birthday dinner during the pandemic. Outdoor seating was great, and we were lucky to have a balmy evening. The food is outstanding, as is the wine list. And the baked goods are super yummy. Try the wild mushroom brioche and the chocolate chip cookies!

It is one of the best restaurants in NYC. The food is spectacular and the service is terrific. Highly recommend.

Great food with distinct flavors throughout each course, beautifully prepared and served. Highly recommend. Expensive but worth every penny.

Great service and inventive food. Everything from the starters to the dessert, which we got a complimentary course of thanks to the chef, were superb. Will be back !!

As usual the dining experience was wonderful. Both outside & indoor dining are available. The menu is abbreviated but the choices are very good.

Another fabulous meal served with a smile (under the mask)! Really hope they can find a way to provide some heat outside when it gets colder.

Batard does a great job of giving diners a warm welcome. The chef is in top form now and the food is delicious. The wine list is one of the best in the city and the wine team does an excellent job of assisting with recommendations. Currently on of the best dining experiences in the city.

Perfect considering the pandemic. Outside dining on a lovely block. Pretty close to excellent service and cleanliness. Food superb. All around a very nice evening out and we’ve been cooped up for so long

Exquisite food, great ambiance, exceptional service. What more can I say?

A really great experience. The food is outstanding. We started with the octopus and beet salad and they were very nice but were not impressed at first, then we order the sweet potato pasta and the seafood linguini. The sweet potato pasta was really tasty and fresh. The seafood linguini was good but a little too citrusie in my opinion. Where Batard redeemed itself was with the steak. My wife and I both agreed that it was probably the best steak and sides we had had in a very long time.

Also, the service was truly outstanding. Not only the food and wine came very timely but we had our server checking constantly on us.

It was truly a magical night and they made my wife feel very special on her birthday.
