Bata is a restaurant designed to celebrate the best our region has to offer. We cook over a live oak fire, on our custom fabricated hearth. Our menu changes daily. We mill AZ grown grain in house, daily. We focus on whole animal butchery, done in house. We have an extensive fermentation program. Our bar program largely focuses on wines that are organic, biodynamic, and produced with minimal intervention. The cocktail list highlights the best products of the season, with a carefully curated list of spirits from across the globe. We believe that our hospitality is just as important as the food and beverages we put on the table.

We do not encourage our restaurant for young children. We do not have any highchairs in house and ask that you please bring your own if it is required.

Over the summer, we will be hosting a communal Supper Club every Thursday showcasing a prix fixe menu consisting of a starter, an entree, and dessert for each guest. Bottles of wine that we find pairs best with the menu will be offered for $50/bottle, along with our usual beverage menu. Dinner will begin at 6:30, but we encourage everyone to come in a little earlier to grab some drinks, enjoy some pre-dinner snacks, and mingle while you wait. This dinner is meant to feel like a fun dinner party at a friend's house. The goal is to bring the Tucson community together, bond over bites and bottles, and beat the summer heat! If you have any questions or any troubles with booking, please email brooke@batatucson.com *Pricing excludes tax and gratuity. *A vegetarian alternative will be available. All other substitutions are politely declined.

As a cook myself, I am always delighted when I find a restaurant that surprises me with their extraordinary dishes. The combinations of flavors are brilliant and inventive. Everything I’ve ever ordered there was delicious and creative. My hats off to the kitchen and the wonderful minds behind the menu items. The wait staff is amazing also and you can tell they’re proud of their important roles in describing and serving the food while engaging with customers. I highly recommend Bata as one of Tucson’s top restaurants. They don’t merely make incredible food, they create an unforgettable experience.

This was Bata’s first-ever brunch event, and it did not disappoint. The courses were impeccably crafted with components sourced from so many local purveyors. Who knew sesame sour dough would pop a normal breakfast plate to a new level, or that whey caramel was such a beautiful thing?! And smoked granola on the labneh? I could eat that every day for the rest of my life. As always, Bata is our fave… the food, the people, the venue. We are already planning our next visit - with gratitude and joy that we have this option in Tucson. And now, perhaps, with an occasional brunch option. Woot! Thanks Bata Team!

Best restaurant in all of Tucson, in my humble opinion. If you want to find yourself understanding the hype around microgreens and herbs, around curated menus, and elevated dining experiences look no further. Bata goes above in beyond on all aspects of their dining experiences. Not once have I ever been dissatisfied, not even close to it. Their recent brunch pop up event was above and beyond their usual, 5 stars is a disservice to how truly amazing it was. Perfect plates where each bite was it’s own experience, great price point, lovely ambiance, and amazing staff as always. I hope they do this event again, and soon!

Brunch was fun and tasty. The bread could’ve been less dense for the breakfast sandwich or toast. Wasn’t quite sure how to eat that.

BATA was truly an amazing experience! The staff was so attentive, kind, educated, and welcoming. Miguel, our server, was a delight. The hostess and those who brought our food were also very kind. The food was delicious. The summer salad, mushroom skewers, and crudo were our favorites. The restaurant is beautifully minimal, warm and cozy, but all of it is approachable and comfortable. Barbata downstairs was a lovely escape from the bustle of the restaurant- visit when you finish your meal!

Food was excellent, especially the mushroom skewers and beets. Service (D.J.) was impeccable. Excellent wine selection but a bit heavy on the markup.
