   As we opted for the “restaurant week” menu I was surprised to find out that all guests at the table had to take the same, including my 9 year old. I have shown my disappointment to which they have agreed “exceptionally” that he can order a la carte as long as he orders starter, main, desert. That can’t be right I thought, so we started with a bitter taste. The food on the set menu was average at best, the mango rice was dry ( it almost felt like it could have been from the day before). The service was slow but courteous although they did try to serve a glass of red wine from a bottle opened the day before stating it’s not expired yet. So overall I did leave thinking the pay didn’t match the expectations.

   Great ambience, views, service. Entree and dessert was amazing .. Was disappointed with the cut of meat (steak) offered

   There music is so bad it's like 90s Europe pop or the Eurovision and it is played so loudly. When I was shown to my seat I was told I was already late (booking at 6pm I was there 6.15pm) and told I would need to be finished by 8pm. We asked to sit outside, told all tables were booked they were mostly still free when we left. Although the rest of the staff were lovely everything felt very rushed. The food was only average and cocktails were all show but didn't actually taste very good or have much alcohol in them. The view is good but that is the only thing. Also the lifts in the hotel take ages and are always packed Don't bother

   Service was very hit and miss, on arrival it was slow, took ages to bring the drinks and the bread, before we received the starters were being serviced, then they were rushing through the courses it was as if they could not wait to get you finished. Poor that they dont provide water as part of the deal. The food saved the evening, very disappointing service given it is Jumeriah Beach Hotel and the calibre of the restaurant

   Food was excellent! The place is pretty and there was a guys singing and playing jazz, who was quite good. The only down side is that when I called to say that I would be 10 min late from my reservation (booked for 9.30pm last saturday), I was told that the kitchen closes at 10.30 (!!) and the starter and the main would be served together. If I had been told this at the time they called to confirm the reservation, I would have changed it to earlier... 11.30pm the staff pretty much kicked us out, brought the bill, took out the table cloths from the other tables around, pushed the chairs around... I understand they were tired and the shift was over but the management should definitely look into their timings over the weekend...

   The food were excellent and ambience was lovely with a singer delivering lovely songs. Will definitely come back.
