Chefs Christophe & Michelle Poteaux's award winning restaurant & bar, located in Old Town Alexandria, has continuously offered guests fresh takes on classic French cuisine, all within our quaint neighborhood brasserie.

Our creations are rooted in the use of seasonal, locally sourced and farm fresh ingredients. Our passion for French food, wine & culture is what we celebrate daily with all of Alexandria & the DMV. As a repeat customer of many years, I can say the food was excellent as always. However, the service fell short this time. The food took a long time to come out, and the waiter seemed to avoid making eye contact with customers, which made the experience feel impersonal. I’ll definitely be back, but I hope the service improves on my next visit.

We had such a great time at Bastille! The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is top-notch. We love how the seasonal menu brings something fresh and exciting every time we visit. Plus, their wine selection is fantastic! It’s quickly become one of our favorite spots in Alexandria. Can’t wait to go back!

Over multiple visits, the food is always delicious and the service always superb! Menu is updated seasonally. Apps are large enough to share. Get one because entrees are not large. Wine list is overwhelmingly French, but who really needs anything more? Excellent desserts to!
