Food was great. Just wish you could reserve a table on the bar side. Service was excellent. We are regulars and have never had a bad meal.

I got the Chicken Degrasi and brought home enough for the next night. My husband loved the stuffed orange roughy and he’s not a fish person.
The food and service was top notch. We will definitely go back again.

I normally love Basta however we had a bad experiance this visit, We waited forever just for water and were pretty much ignored by our waiter. A bus boy accidentaly spilled water on one of us and it took forever to get it cleaned up and we had to ask 3 times for replacement soup, silverware, and napkins. The salad wad extremely wilted and no one asked if we wanted and cheese with it which was unusual. We waited a long time for our meal to come and it was not that busy. All in all I was very disappointed. The owner came saw the water on the floor but never asked if we were ok or needed anything and we ultimately cleaned the table ourselves with all of our napkins. The waiter was very inattentive and of no help at all. I will saay this is not the usual experiance we have at Basta Pasta where usually both the food and service are usually pretty good.

The service and the food are in sync. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was served piping hot, which doesn't always happen. Good company and good times had by all. Thanks.

Great food and excellent service! My book club of 8 came here for dinner and we were comfortably seated in one of the quieter sections. Our waitress was wonderful and even made separate checks for each of us! Be sure to also check out happy hour in the bar - where you'll find discounted drinks and appetizers.

Great service, attentive and quick wait staff. We never once felt rushed to eat our food or leave the table after we were finished. They also gave 4 pieces of bread for two of us - which was hot out of the oven and better than Olive Garden breadsticks!

Our meal was very enjoyable. The crab cake is quite good; and I am very picky. Potatoes, salad and bread exceptional. But...on my way out I decided to take a cannoli home with me. I was very disappointed in the two very small, not that fresh cannoli for which I had spent over $7. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable experience. Staff were friendly; our server was friendly and efficient.

We had a great evening--except the server gave us someone else's bill. Luckily, my husband checked it before he paid the server. When he brought it to her attention, she apologized and brought the correct bill.

Little pricey for a weekly eat, but nice to splurge once a month & the food is always fantastic. The wait staff often seems like they have too many tables though. There didn't seem to be any time to check on the table items. Perhaps they need a FT bus boy just doing that (filling water/ice tea, taking plates etc.)
It's not a fast service place. Reservations were for 4:30 but we didn't leave until 6:30 and it wasn't like were were just hanging out either. It just was slow that night and hard to get hold of waitress for the next phase of everything.
They had a special "appetizer" that night which was fresh dungeous crab soaked in a rich garlic butter sauce. Not something like I'd ever seen on the menu their (or most anyplace else). The food itself was amazing! Best crab EVER! 11 of 10. I would eat that every week and make a trip just for that. However, as good as it was, it didn't not come without issues:
1) Ordered as the "appetizer", it came out 10 minutes after my friends soup came out. So his soup was getting cold waiting for my appetizer.
2) When it came out, it was clear the term "appetizer" was inappropriately assigned. This was a full meal (other than a side) which I instantly realized and just decided it to eat it as such. There was no way to eat that followed by another plated meal!
3) This thing is MESSY. It is covered in a thick (AMAZING) garlic butter sauce. There are no provisions for eating this cleanly. No special crab utensils, no wet naps, no towels, no bibs. Just you and two handfuls of garlic butter dripping down in a fine dining experience room w/ everyone staring at you. Now I loved steamed crabs. At home/crab house have 0 issue digging in like that but at least there is a roll of paper towels on the table! Thought the legs were "cracked for easy access" you still needed to use your only table tools (fork/knife) to access the smaller regions.
Table experience not thought out enough but I would order it again regardless. It was that good!!

This was our first time ever at Basta Pasta and I was excited as I had heard some good reviews of the place. However, my experience there was so-so. The waitress was very nice but I had to send two meals back because they were just not up to par. I just didn’t like the risotto and the crab cake was the driest crab cake I’ve ever had. My husband liked his stuffed shells and I felt the kids got quite a bit of food for a $6 price tag. So I don’t know if it was just an off night or what so I won’t write it off completely. But we’re gonna hold off on going back for awhile.

Fresh hot bread, nice salad. Honey salmon and seafood pasta in marinara (a little sweet for marinara) but still delicious and ample servings. Will definitely return.
Only complaint was the seating was less than desirable. I actually was sitting in an aisle blocking staff from easily getting to other patrons. Didn't make sense since there were open tables.

We got there at 5:30. We’re promptly seated and greeted by our cheerful server, Tara. She explained the specials and returned quickly with our drinks and we ordered. The salad and bread she brought us next were wonderful. The chicken parm two of us enjoyed was off the charts! So was the daily portobello, crab cake and shrimp special one of us ordered.
It was the birthday of one person in our group, who received a huge and delicious piece of cheesecake gratis. Our service was wonderful, the food was excellent and we all left stuffed with plenty of leftovers. Highly recommend.

Positives:
Great Service, Tasty Salad and Bread Sticks. Dining room very quiet and nice atmosphere. Amazing desserts Mmmm!

Negatives:
Expensive compared to other Italian restaurants outside of Baltimore City. Mozzarella in Caprese salad not fresh. Tastes like it came from the grocery store. Pasta seemed overcooked (too soft/mushy).

Overall, a nice place to eat if you don't mind spending almost $100 (with tip) for dinner for 2 (no alcohol). I'd give it 3.5-4 Stars at most.

I love the food at Basta Pasta and have never been disappointed. Their Chicken Digrasi is my favorite dish and I always have leftovers for two more meals! The crab cakes were the special of the night and my friends really enjoyed them. The General Manager Dannielle Centofanti, came by to check on our meal and also make a contribution to a charity event we were organizing. This is by far one of my favorite restaurants and will continue to go there any chance I get!

Basta Pasta is definitely my go-to place for dinner. It's a 25-minute drive from my home, but worth every mile of it! Everything is absolutely delicious! They have a wonderful menu selection, portions are very ample and the service is always stellar. My only two suggestions would be to put some sort of portable barrier between the front door and the restaurant because every time the door opens the cold air rushes in and also, the noise level is sometimes so loud that you can't hear the person across the table from you. Simple solutions to an otherwise perfect dining experience! I love Basta Pasta in Eldersburg!!
