I came with two of my daughters during a Presidents day weekend stay in the city. All three of our dishes were very delicious. I had the seafood risotto. I was worried it might be too heavy of a meal but it was perfect, fresh, not weighed down with heavy sauces and very tasty. Service was excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking for good Italian food in a cozy atmosphere.
Everything was awesome
Came for a friend's birthday and was worried because we were seated just outside the kitchen. But the table was bigger than most 2 tops and there was more noise from the group next to us than from the kitchen. Service was excellent and our server helped me plan the birthday surprise. Would definitely recommend and will return.
Such a great Italian restaurant with fresh, delicious food. Great food and even better service. Highly recommend.
Food and service outstanding at this or any price. Marvellous. Brilliant wine selection also
This was a great find on my trip to New York. An excellent dining place after a theater. High quality food, superb service. The atmosphere just right for a nice conversation with a dinner mate.
We had an amazing dinner. We were in town for a trade show and loved this place so much we went there to eat 3 of the 4 nights in Ny. Manager was extremely nice.
Basso56 was average. The food was not voluminous, but it was good. The one thing I really did not like at all is that our table was right next to the bathrooms. Just didn't sit well with me and because of that I wouldn't return.
Excellent food and service. Restaurant cooperated with helping me to surprise the birthday man. Would highly recommend.
Every time I eat there I like it better and better. The food is carefully thought out and delicious without a need to be flashy.
The service is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I’ll be back.
You simply can’t beat the homemade pasta, fresh ingredients, flavors. Service is top-notch. Forget the theatre location, I’ll go here whenever I want a great meal (also not expensive).
Thanks for your kindness and the quality of the food
We cannot wait to come back
Wonderful Italian restaurant near Time Warner Center. The pasta is homemade and the Meat sauce was very flavorful. Service was great. Look forward to going again
Awesome as always! Homemade pastas and interesting, authentic Italian flavors, impeccable service and cozy-chic ambiance. What more could one want? Have been coming here for years and look forward to our next visit!
This our go-to restaurant before a night at Lincoln Center. Superb food and service
