Bass Bay Brewhouse
Always a fantastic experience with yummy food!
We always enjoy Bass Bay. We came especially for the the prime rib sandwich which used to be on the brunch menu. We were sad to see that it was no longer offered. We also were served the wrong food. The server rectified the problem, but it's not what we normally encounter there.
We attended a wedding here last summer, decided to go back for a fish fry, and we were not disappointed. The fish and potato pancakes were very tasty.
The food was excellent, as were the bloody Mary’s! We took my in-laws therr
We really enjoyed Bass Bay Brewhouse! All 5 of us enjoyed our meals and said we wanted to come back soon. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very pretty on the lake in the middle of winter... bet it would be wonderful to sit on the patio during the summer. Already looking forward to next time...
We love this place!
Steve is the best server. We always ask for his tables. He’s one on the main reasons we choose Bass Bay. In fact we’ll be there tomorrow!
Excellent food and exceptional service. Our waiter was very accommodating and efficient.
The food was excellent as always! Our server was attentive and we loved our cozy table by the fireplace.
Was very happy with service on my date night with husband till they sat a group of people with young kids that were yelling and screaming. Not what I wanted to hear while we were celebrating Valentine’s Day
Great brunch! My wife and I love the feel of this place and really enjoy the food and the service. Try the Shananagins. You will not be disappointed!
Excellent food and atmosphere. I would only suggest that if people stay after the bill is paid to come back and offer water. We were there talking quit awhile and never saw our waitress again.
Oh and offer plain french toast or waffles without all that stuff.
Bass Bay Brewhouse is a family favorite. We were celebrating a belated Valentine's dinner.
All the food was delicious and we always love the view. Our server Alyssa J. was very knowledgeable and personable. She is a gem! We will definately be back :)

I've never had a meal I didnt love!! The prime rib is melt in your mouth delicious!!
We dined here on Valentine's Day. I picked a late reservation time so we wouldn't have to wait. We had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. The food was very good. Our waitress wasn't overly attentive.
We arrived for a late dinner on Friday, Valentine's night. The food was average. The walleye was too heavily breaded. The Fillet Oscar my Partner had was prepared very well and she said it was delicious, however, her side dishes were cold. She had to send them back to the kitchen to be reheated. When our server brought them back to the table, she set them down on the opposite side of the table. There were no apologies, just put them down and left without a word. The same happened when she ordered another glass of wine. The server put the glass down on the opposite side of the table, once again.
After dinner, we sat down at the bar, and experienced a totally different vibe. The bartenders were great. They handled a very large crowd on Valentine's day really well. No one waited long, they were polite and efficient. When the crowd thinned out later that evening we had a great conversation with the two bartenders. They gave us a history of the restaurant, let us in on some of their favorite dishes, and invited us back again. That treatment alone will bring us back to give them a second chance.
Went for valentines dinner. Ordered off their Valentine’s Day menu and really wanted the prime rib which was on the menu but not available on that day. That was irritating because it was in the Valentine’s Day menu. Wound up ordering the surf and turf which was way overpriced and didn’t even come with a soup or salad. Food was good but service was slow.
Very crowded fpor Valentine's Day plus Friday fish fry. Very noisy and we sat near entrance where people were waiting. Food was very good. Server was excellent.
Great food and great service! Food didn’t take too long, appetizers came fast, great drinks great time.
We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating my wife's birthday with a Sunday Brunch here that was amazing. We had a group of 8 and the service was excellent, food was delicious - highly recommend the Chicken and the Egg, Shenanigans, and any of the awesome drinks - highly recommend the Bourbon Mary! Nice vibe and atmosphere overlooking the lake with a Northwoods feel.
food orders where wrong. Overall, fair at best.
Food and service were excellent. We've been for brunch and dinner. We will definitely be back.
I met a few colleagues after work for dinner and the restaurant was not busy. We had an appetizer, drinks and dinner. The service was terrible. Our server did not seem to check on us at all unless we flagged her down. We often had to reach out and ask for an additional drink, extra napkins, silverware, etc. When we placed our dinner order - there was a very long delay in being served. A very nice lady came to our table to apologize and indicated that she was sorry the service was taking so long. Overall the food was just average and nothing really stands out. There are lots of good places to eat and we do not plan to re-visit Bass Bay a second time.
We had a reservation and our table was ready on time. Food was good, service was good. However the place is really loud! Having a table of 10 made it hard to converse at times. We will be going back as the food is really good.
Great food and great service! I will definitely be back!
Food was good. Service was very slow though. I would go back again.
My wife and I have gone to BBB 5 times now, and each time is wonderful. The food is amazing! The service is always fantastic. We will continue to go back for special occasions for years!
Great service and nice variability in food and flavors.
Have had tons of great experiences and food here. Had to try to Sunday night chicken dinner and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and beautiful views. I’d recommend anyone coming here!
On Sunday mornings, many families visit here with their young children (babies) and the walking areas can become congested with baby strollers and seats. Might be wise to ask to sit closer to the entrance if anyone in your party has any physical disabilities.
Food was average and overpriced for what we had. Pork Chop and Cauliflower was dry and overcooked.
Hidden Jen! Can’t wait to go this summer and enjoy their outdoor patio.
Bass Bay continues to be a family favorite for weekend evening dining - the atmosphere, while overly loud at times, allows for our family to just sit back and have a good time along a restaurant full of others who are just enjoying life. The service and food quality have never disappointed.
We went there to relax and not rush for Dinner. Ordered an appetizer, salad, dinner etc and asked the. To bring it out in stages and not to rush. All of our food came at once and wasn’t right. Ordered salad without croutons, came with croutons. No water was ever filled up, had to ask twice. Service was not good.
New Year’s Eve
Second time at Bass Bay and we'll definitely be back. Love everything about it--the food, the beverages, and the friendly staff.
Great find on Open Table. Went for New Year's Eve dinner and had an excellent experience. Our server was friendly and attentive, the food was great and the prices were reasonable. We can't wait to go back!!
My wife and I had the Chicken Dinner Special and it was some of the best friend chicken we have ever had.
Only critique, would have enjoyed better service.
Went for Sunday brunch. The view and food were very good. A very pleasant experience.
