Ate outside on the patio overlooking the water and bar area. Food was excellent, as was the service. Only thing was it did get a little cold even with the outdoor heaters so I recommend bringing a jacket especially this time of year
The restaurant was great. Friendly service, food was excellent
Food was good
Not as hot as it should have been
Wait service sucked, waited and waited for her to come back
Michelle was fantastic. She was there when we needed something but not checking too often. She was very friendly and we felt like we were with family. A lot of available seating inside and out (early Sunday morning). We were greeted with smiles and asked as to what our seating preference was. I hate to say it, the food was better than what I can make.
2/10 entrées were cold. Service was good. Hot food was good. Drink selection great. Ambiance great!
Service was great, very good waitress. Food was ok. Came out room temperature, seemed like it was sitting for a while. We were in the enclosed patio- it was cold in there! If you have a big group, expect to be put out there.
We went for my Mom’s birthday. Every table was socially distant and the wait staff was all wearing masks. We felt very safe. We had a great dinner and everything went well.
Our table was not ready when we arrived. After being seated and ordering drinks we then ordered our food which took over an hour to get to us. When we complained they blamed it on the fact that they had a wedding with over 200 people to feed. NOT MY PROBLEM!! They did comp our round of drinks.
Outdoor seating is beautiful. We had a great dinner with friends. Will be back.
Ordered the beef barley soup. It was quite salty and had just juice not much else. Ordered the chicken fried chicken and the mocha dessert both excellent. Service was excellent. Our only disappointment was the soup. All four of us ordered the soup and all four of us received basically salty beef broth with not much else.
We did reserve an outdoor table but someone in our party wanted to sit inside. They started to seat us in the area near the bar and closest to the windows. I was seated in that area previously and it is extremely noisy. It was not crowded but you could hear the noise level was high. They were nice enough to seat us in the larger dining room to the right of the bar.
We had a delightful lunch other than the disappointing soup. I would recommend.
The view was beautiful! Our server was very good, but it was very noisy and the food was disappointing and overpriced we felt for the quality
There was no social distancing at all. Very crowded and noisy.
Bass Bay never disappoints
Making reservations online was very easy and convenient. We were seated outside and had an amazing waitress who was attentive and so friendly!
Casual and comfortable ambiance with upscale food and service
One of our favorite places. Love the menu and how flexible they are with the menu. We had great staff. The only complaint I have, is how loud it is. We were there on a Thursday evening, and it was pretty busy. It gets loud in the dining room making it hard to hear the person next to me talking.
Went for dinner with 3 other couples to celebrate 1st year wedding anniversary. Prime rib special was delicious. Had a very nice table by the water. Mosquitoes got bad around 9 pm. Outside bar and fire pits nice extra.
The available outdoor seating was fantastic. All servers were wearing masks, even outside.
Loved the pontoon ride with captain Wayne. Very informative & a nice way to pass the time while waiting for a table.
Food was outstanding.
Great meal sitting outside near the lake.
Good hamburger and french fries. Service was slow and my martini was warm. Beautiful night though with a view of the lake and pleasant breeze.
Excellent service and delicious food. Pretty view from a beautiful patio.
Great place, great food, great drinks, great view, great service. We will be back.
We had a wonderful time ! And the waitress was awesome.
This is a gorgeous restaurant on Big Muskego lake with nearly 360 views of the water plus plenty of outdoor seating. The waitstaff is excellent. I would have given 5 stars however our food took well over an hour to arrive at our table. It was good, but not good enough to justify such a wait. For refence, I ordered the fish fry and my husband ordered the french dip. Two meals that realistically should take no more than 10 minutes to put together.
Scallops risotto, shrimp scampi, crispy salmon all done to perfection. Plan ahead if you want to dine outside.
it was nice to be outside close to the water. It was very busy but they waited on you in a timely fashion
Our waitstaff was very good. The food was fantastic. The view of the lake and setting sun was everything we hoped for. The only downside was our table was on grass and leaned a little down hill, we fixed it by putting 2 legs on saucers and continued to have a great time visiting with friends.
With COVID I think there were too many tables and not 6 ft apart on the patio or grass. Not all wait staff kept their face masks on or over the nose. Whether people like it or not there is a mandate to wear them and to do it correctly. Management needs to monitor this more. If it feels unsafe whether it’s bar, waitstaff or kitchen staff not correctly wearing masks or handling food I won’t be back.
Host/Hostess staff totally mangled seating us. Our reservation was treated like it meant nothing. 35 minutes later they tried to give us a make-shift table somewhat remote from any others, accounting for no server coming to our table for another 10-12 minutes after being seated. Part of the rub - there were some other open tables thoughout this time. Finally, we were directed to another table. Food was ok . But, the server was quite good/efficient, I think under strained circumstances.
I'm trying to cut restaurants a break due to needing to make up for several months of not being open. But they shouldn't over-book or elevate walk-ins to the detriment of reservations.
Any recommendation would be given with red-flags
We keep coming back for the ambiance. If they didn't have the option I don't think we would return. This last time was disappointed with the seating. We were put on the grass. Where the chairs kept sinking in the grass.
As in the past 3 experiences this summer. Took over an hour to get food, even on a Wednesday night. We were there at 5:30 for a 6:00 reservation. At 6:30, I had to ask about our table. Food is average.
Next time will specify patio seating and not grass. I will also do earlier reservation in the hope of eating at a reasonable time
Great food, great service, love the view!!! Enjoyed eating on the enclosed patio, no bugs!!!!
Our new favorite place to eat. Great food and atmosphere
Went for a special birthday event on a Tuesday night. Arrived 40 minutes prior to our reservation and were told we couldn't sit outside because we didn't put the note in an online reservation (first time there, didn't see that was a requirement, wasn't allowed any flexibility). Sat inside and it was freezing. Three members of our party had to go outside to warm up. It took 30 minutes to get a deep fried appetizer after we ordered it, and then sat without drinks for the next 30 minutes when our food was delivered. Our food was very good, and our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, and we tipped accordingly. Probably wouldn't return as I'm scared what it would be like on a 'busy' day.
Great view of the lake, they have enclosed patio seating, outdoor seating and an outdoor bar area. Spectacular view of the water and even a small pier to walk on. Food was great and so was the service. Good spot for a date night or just a night out.
Always great service and wonderful food. We will be back!
Great food but terrible service. They have a huge patio and set up 2 tables off the patio on the grass. We were seated at one of the two tables. It was directly in the sun. We had our 10 month baby with us. We asked if we could move to one of the many open tables on the shaded patio for our baby. They said no because all the open tables were reserved. We were unaware we had to request which specific table we wanted to sit at when we made reservations. Our waitress took forever and completely forgot two items we asked for. Waitress seemed to forget about us towards the end that I had to leave with my baby so she wouldn’t overheat sitting in the sun. My husband waited 20 by himself to get the check before he finally leave. As he waited he heard the table next to him ask to move because of the sun but they told them no as well. The service sucked and you have to tell them which specific table you want to sit at so they don’t put you off onto the grass to get sunburned and away from the actual patio dining experience.
Fantastic dinner date with my husband! We requested an outdoor table due to Covid and were pleasantly surprised to be seated at a table right near the lake. The weather was perfect and we were able to watch the beautiful sunset while being far away from the busy patio. The other tables in the area were nicely distanced. The spinach artichoke dip was delicious, as were our 8oz steaks (served with asparagus, mushrooms, hashbrown casserole, crab cake, shrimp and twice baked potato between the two). Our server was kind and attentive and overall the staff was very friendly.
Great food and service with an even better view! Also enjoyed the beer selection, very happy to see ambers and ciders my personal favorites.
This is one of our favorite places and we love it that we can take our dog, Sammy. He now has several friends there, both patrons and staff. Food is good. Staff is friendly and attentive and the landscaping, lake views, shade, breeze are wonderful.
Please put in a pizza oven to offer thin crust pizza and turn down the music.
We've been several times, have recommended it and brought friends.
