Had another outstanding meal at Basil's. A huge shout out to our waitress, Beth, she was top notch. There was a large party with several young children who were loud- Beth navigated the situation like a pro. Highly recommend!!!

As always, the food and drinks were delicious. Our server, Alyssa, was excellent. She was very friendly and checked on us when each course was served. I had asked to try the bar area this time. We were a little disappointed with that decision. It is a very nice area but our table was far too small. The bread basket had to be removed when the appetizer arrived. We had to hold up our glasses when our second drinks arrived. It was just too cramped. I’ll definitely ask for a booth for our next visit. We’ve never been disappointed with that choice in the past.

I’m not one to send back food so I did eat it but was very disappointed. Perhaps an off night.

Basil continues to deliver. The highlights are truly around the service with the food coming in just after that aspect. The bartender (female) who has been there for quite some time is really one of the best when it comes to martinis ! My only feedback is that I thought the strip steak was quite overpriced at $59. Everything else on the menu is reasonable. I would definitely recommend as it’s often hard to find local ownership restaurants anymore .

We dined early, and although the place was fairly empty when we arrived, we were inexplicably seated in a nice booth but directly in back of a very disruptive party. Although we were given the option to move, we were surprised the restaurant seated us there in the first place as there were plenty of other booths available in that and other dining rooms. As far as dinner went, it was outstanding as always. My wife had the Light entree Salmon, which she said was fabulous. I had the Roast Duck L’Orange, which was delicious and perfectly cooked. We both enjoyed the House Salad with Tarragon Dressing, a unique flavor not found elsewhere. Even the simple breadbasket offers delicious French bread, herb, and corn bread, which are all excellent. We have been enjoying this restaurant for many years and highly recommend despite the seating issue as the food and service is always wonderful.

We are crazy about Basils and have been eating here for well over a dozen years. The food is consistently great, with so much variety. I’m astonish at how they can master both Italian and French dishes equally. Their Chicken Fra Diavolo and escargot are equally superb! The staff are always outstanding, routinely amazingly friendly, knowledgeable. We love Kelly, Christine and Alyssa as family.

We went as a family of four with reservations on a Friday night. The minute we walked in it took the hostess a while to get off the phone and accept our reservations. Our table was in a high traffic area next to the bathroom and kitchen and the entire restaurant was extremely noisy. It was difficult to hear, even though I don’t have a trouble hearing in most places. I do appreciate the excellent help of the service which was fast and attentive, and the food was hot served quickly, and tasted fresh. So maybe if you go on a not busy night it’s a lot better.

We are never disappointed in the food or cocktails at Basils. My husband had the special, baked stuffed lobster, and said it was delicious. We both had martinis, lemon drop and a chocolate. Both were so so good. We always go back to Basils when we’re craving a great dining experience. Being a Friday night it was a little loud but expected for a full restaurant of happy people.
