We were 6. We ordered one double order each from the tapas choices. It was enough food. It was delicious and fun . Also ordered 2 desserts-almond cake and bread pudding very good.
Great spot, great food, good serivce, one of our dishes was forgotten and it got comp'd, good drink menu. It was very busy due to Dreamforce but everything was quick and tasted delicious. Will definitely be back.

Been here with friends and on dates. Food is quality and interesting but not stuffy and trying too hard. The escabeche and G&T no. 1 are both something I always order #drool

We went on a weekend for lunch and realized the menu was limited to mostly breakfast selection. There were only a few tapas to choose from. The paella was good, the pimiento was great. The sangria was pricey. I would probably go back on a weekday for a wider selection.

I enjoyed my experience! I was seated near a drafty door, so I was hit by a blast of cold air each time someone went through. A curtain to cover the door would have been nice. I also wish my server checked in more because I had a lot of additional menu items that I wanted to order, but it wasn’t terribly inconvenient. The food was delicious, and although I was heartbroken that they were out of croquetas by 7pm :(, the various plates that we ordered were fabulous.

I lived in Madrid for two years and Barcelona for a year. I develop Spanish language textbooks, programs, and apps for the North American higher education market. I think I know Spanish food pretty well. The food at Barvale is legit! It’s the best Spanish food I’ve had outside of Spain. So good!
The food was fantastic and service was excellent as well! I had been wanting to try Barvale for some time, and it did not disappoint. My favorites were the halibut shooter, the croquettes, and the seafood paella.
Really yummy dishes you can share! Definitely recommend the Paella since that stole the show :) Definitely will be coming back here!

Prices were reasonable, and the food was pretty good (though nothing was original or specifically memorable). It was a young loud crowd and we had to shout to hear each other; the bar area had stools in the waiting section that were extremely uncomfortable. Service from our server was excellent.
Fabulous food and smart and thoughtful waitress who recommended good wine choices. Their shrimp and garlic was especially wonderful. Lots of families with young kids so friendly in that way. But very noisy. Cute and informal decor.

Tasty, small portions but not unreasonable for tapas. Monday half-off wine bottles is nice. Was a bit too loud to hear each other comfortably and tables are too squashed together.

We can always count on Barvale to have the tastiest bites to satisfy and impress our guests. It has become our favorite neighborhood spot to take visitors. The Gin drinks are OOTW, the variety on the menu has something for everyone, the bartenders and servers and hosts are so friendly and accommodating, and the place is just plain fun. Its a great spot for groups, to share a table and meet your neighbors or grab a spot at the bar for a quick bite.

Delicious brunch food somewhat offset by non-existent drinks service. 15 minutes after ordering our drinks we were told that particular choice was unavailable. So we switched to Mimosas - they still hadn't arrived by half way through our main dishes so we cancelled them.
Hope they can iron out these issues as otherwise it would have been wonderful - the atmosphere was great (buzzy but not too loud or busy), food was delicious and the service was friendly.
