The restaurant was a cool experience when it came to the food unfortunately the space is tiny for the plates they have. Seating was very snug and keep on having to maneuver around the waiters. We we so close to another table also. Just needs more space
Presentation of food made the experience memorable....the taste of the food made it worthwhile!
I took my wife hear for her birthday.. the food was delicious and the vibe was great.. definitely will be back for my birthday
Akram was fun, delightful and kind. The food presentation is off the charts. Try and keep your props as long as possible, they can be anxious to take them away :) Super fun experience for any special occasion.
My first visit was outstanding! The ambiance, food and service were impeccable
This dining experience was one of the best I ever had. Yes it is worth every single dime I spent and I will be going back!!!!!!
The experience was amazing , the presentation of the food is so extravagant !
Would definitely recommend .
It really was amazing as were the prices. It’s not someplace I could frequent as a non 1%er. It’s a truly unique dining experience and the ribeye/lobster was outstanding. Really is a must try if you can afford it.
Great restaurant! Service, ambiance and food was absolutely amazing. Favorite to visit every time I come to South Beach
Lobster way over cooked, steak over cooked, mushrooms had zero flavor, asparagus was freezing cold. To top it off had the slowest server possible and a rat was running around the floor!!!
I was disappointed. Last time I went to Barton G, it was packed and that was part of the fun. Seeing all the different items coming out. This time wS there on a Friday night at 7 pm and we were one of maybe 4 groups outside. (Inside wasn’t full either) I also felt the menu could have had more options and variety.
Hi Sharona, Thanks for sharing your feedback. We are working on new menu items so we'll definitely have more exciting things to come! Best, Barton G.
Good food and fun but be prepared to pay for it ...worth trying once. If you’re not a big eater, can definitely share since plates are big.
I went there for a birthday celebration. The place is small and the music is very loud, so if you plan to have an important conversation this is not the place. Food is good, certainly you pay for presentation. This is my 3rd time there though, but felt that the food, service and quality have decreased. Presentation is nice, but there was nothing new for me (my first time there was over 7 years ago). Overall is a good experience, but certainly there are other better options for fine dinning.
It’s a fun place which I recommend for an special occasion.
I ordered the Orange glazed Salmon..... I took 1 bite and told the server (Corey) the fish was not to my liking, he took the fish away and I was expecting a Mgt to do a table touch to see what was wrong with it. No one came to the table and when I got the bill the Salmon was still on my check, needless to say I paid for a meal I DID NOT EAT 👎🏾👎🏾
Had a reservation, food took over 2 hours to come out. Food was nothing special especially if you take into account the price. Had to call for the manager 4 times before he actually came out to speak with us.
Had the best birthday dinner here in Miami at Barton G. Everything was great from the food to the drinks and of course the dessert! The only downside was the music was basically blasting we all had to scream to one another in order to have a conversation.
Simply amazing. The food, service, presentation and total experience were unlike no other. You can't visit Miami Beach without experiencing this restaurant.
I thought the food was overpriced for the quality had the surf and turf. It was a one time experience.
The server was not the best. But love the presentations. The food isn’t great but you go there for the show. Sever needs more energy and personality I thought. Should be a fun place
I have been to this restaurant four prior times without incident. However, this time; not the case. The air conditioning was broken and guests were complaining, sweating etc., the server was slow and nearly unrecognizable. I complained to the manager; the result: nothing. No complimentary desert; no discounts; no attempt to make our table happy. We were given the cold shoulder treatment. It seems as if this restaurant is on the decline.
What a shame! This place has really gone downhill. The fish was horribly overcooked, and the rest of the food was just simply under seasoned and underwhelming. I used to love this place and the food was great! And what a ripoff! We were 3, and had one appetiser, three main courses and no dessert. Each had 2 drinks and the bill was $428! Despite the amazing presentation, the food and service were just bad!
They were out of half of the menu. The waiter kept recommending one thing to everyone which of course was the thing they were not out of. we spent $40 on a dessert which was supossed to have cupcakes- but they were out of them. Instead, they gave us one scoop of vanilla ice cream as an alternative. There was no compensation or apologies.
Not worth the money. No customer service. Definitely went down hill from when I was there years ago.
Food mediocre, poor service, and very high prices for that quality of food and service. In this place is all about show. dishes come with a show and you have to pay extra money for that.
38th Birthday Dinner. Presentation was good. Restaurant tables are too small for all of the over the top food demos.
When we got there, they tried to seat us outside. It had been raining all day and it was very humid. But after going back and forth they allowed us to eat inside. That should be an option when you make reservations. The place is small. And they have too many tables for the props. The music was really loud and I couldn't hear the waiter. And they rush you which I didn't like. But the food was good and I loved the props. Great for photos. I would go back. I want to try Vegas. I think it would be better.
This Resturant is really all for show. Inside is completely jammed with very little room to move when all tables are full.
Food is completely expensive and not worth the value. I didn’t get a or over the top drink. I got a basic Long Island and that was $31.00 in a glass the size is a baby bottle filled with ice. The drink was overly sour an was sent bk. I’m from uo north an have been seeing pictures and I follow them. Was very disappointed
Always a great time!! I live in NY and whenever I visit Miami I always eat at Barton G. Never disappoints.
Great presentation and the service was excellent and fast.
depends, The presentation is cool. The food is fair. Was not impressed.
The presentation of the food and the overall experience was the greatest I loved it
Friends 30th Bday dinner and the experience was like none other. Our one complaint was that the tables is too small for some of the items you serve the food. Would love to try this again.
It was my Birthday... it was mentioned in writing on the reservation... they never acknowledged the birthday; also we had a reservation and waited an hour to be seated. The food was extremely bland and mediocre.
Anniversary 1 eyer of marriage
It’s a Great Experience!!! The food presentations are unbelievable. It makes for a really fun night! My favorite place to go in South Beach!
Food was delicious. Perfect experience I will definitely come back . Every plate is unique
Fantastic experience. The presentation is second to none and food was excellent. The wait staff was attentive and frequented the table. There was never a time where we lacked anything. There aren't many restaurants where one is encouraged to stare at what your neighbors are eating and drinking, but Barton G is the exception. So much so that little communities organically spring up in neighboring tables as patrons begin to marvel at the presentation and talk about what they ordered. Just a feel-good vibe.
Hi Fox, Thanks for the kind feedback. We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed everything and that our staff was attentive and able to provide you everything you need. Hope to see you again soon. Best, Barton G.
When we first arrived the hostess told us that they have opened the upstairs dinning room due to weather, if we wanted to go upstairs that it was more intimate and less nosier, so we agreed. It was totally the opposite, it look like we were on a daycare, there was a table full of children screaming super noisy, music was super loud to the fact that we could not even hear the waiter. Waiter was screaming, the waiter even excused himself and went to speak to a manager to be able to lower the music. The atmosphere was terrible. We sat so close to another table that it was super uncomfortable.
Waiter came to take our order, we first order the appetizer, when the waiter brought the appetizer gave it to the table next to us, then he realized it and brought it to our table. When the waiter came to bring us the entrees, no one came to remove the appetizer plate, so waiter waited for someone to come to remove the appetizer plate because there was NO space to put the entrees plate.
No one came so he went to get someone at the bar by the time the waiter came back , then when back to get someone to remove the appetizer plate our entrees plate has traveled from the kitchen to the table, waited several seconds for someone to come and remove the appetizer plate back to the bar to get someone to remove the appetizer plate, then back to our table, food temperature not good. Food was ok not the my expectation, presentation was nice. That's all I can say. I did not have a good experience. I always wanted to go and have an amazing experience at Barton G. but I got so disappointed I will never recommend the place to anyone.
Hi, Sorry to hear you weren't satisfied with your experience. Due to weather we opened our private dining space to adjust and not have guests have to deal with long wait times. We appreciate your feedback and will make a note of your experience to our team to make further improvements. Best, Barton G.
It's all about the experience at Barton G. That means, it's all about the presentation of the food, not about the quality of it nor the great customer service.
We had a reservation at 7:30, we where seated at 8:00pm. We had the Seafood Martini for $150. Presented in an over sized Martini glass. It was good but not nothing special. We ordered the Tomahawk steak $200 that was quite a disappointment. It was over done on the outside and completely raw in the inside but more than 75% was lumoy masses of fat. The steak was accompanied by blackened dried out fried yuca. The trap mac and cheese was ordinary. We closed out our dinner with The strawberry fields cake that was a poor rendition of a red velvet cake covered in a bland mouse frosting.
I think the best part of our meal where the martinis that are prepared with liquid nitrogen. It is awesome to have these, but at $50+ a drink.
Maybe our food choices were not the best, maybe, would feel differently with something else, but for a $700 bill for 2 people, I would have expected a lot better. In my opinion this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. You do it once and never again.
