Barton G. The Restaurant - Miami Beach Ratings and Reviews
I took my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday because this place offers a great experience with an amazing plate presentation. The only thing I was disappoint was the fact that I paid 52$ for a premade bottled sangria. As far as I was concern they make handcrafted cocktails. Why couldn’t they make a handcrafted sangria?!?! I think that was very upsetting. The taste was acceptable but if it was handcrafted it would’ve been 100x better. I went to many cheaper and more expensive restaurant that offered handcrafted sangrias. The presentation of the sangria was very cool tho. I will be back but I won’t order the sangria. Another thing for the bday we other the manaquin with cottoncandy hair. The cotton candy was amazing but the cake served with it not sooo good.
Heard a lot about the creative cuisine and presentation from friends. Their recommendations were spot on. Food wise we were very pleased with everything from cocktails to desserts. Service was slightly less attentive than we are used too. However this may be a result of the extraordinary presentation. Entree portions are enormous so order accordingly. Highly recommend for a unique dining experience
Love Barton G. Been to the one in LA and now Miami. Both are spectacular. Food presentation is is the main reason however the gastronomy is out of this world! There’s nothing like Barton G anywhere. If you haven’t been. Go. Don’t go because it’s expensive, go because it is an amazing unforgettable experience. Go today!
havent been to barton g's in a few years. My daughter wanted to go for her birthday. Food presentation is their gimmick . You are paying for very over rated over priced food and drinks and are getting mediocre food with a fun presentation. For example $28-32 for nitrogen smoking cocktails. $28 for two small sliders. Check out the menu before you go. also, $17/cash only/ to park your car! We were 8 people so gratuity was automatic. As a result the service was very slow, we had to ask other servers when we needed something, had to continually wait for water, coffee, had to send back undercooked steaks and waited very long for new, smaller, not as nice steaks. Not what you expect when you are paying $1,000 for a dinner for 6 kids 2 adults and celebrating your kids birthday!
Great elaborate presentation of food. Food was good and enjoyable.
Service was good the only thing lacking a little bit was one of our partnered waiters was a bit laxed and even though I shared it was out first time he did not go out of his way to explain the foods, presentation and what to expect. We had to view from other tables or listen to other waiters explain to their other tables.
The tables were a bit too small for all the fun of the presentation especially if you order the pork flank....again the overall service was good and food was great.
The dessert not sure it was but boy it was fun ----the Marie Antoiniette was great but next time we will try the $100 the presentation and blow torch effect was great to witness.
There was a lot of stimulation in the restaurant lots to see.
Price - is a bit much but its location/presentation you are paying for.
Thanks Barton G to help make my daughters 18th birthday a great one!
We had a 7:30pm reservation. By the time we were seated it was 8:17. The wait wasn't the issue, so much as the rudeness of the hostess whom insisted we sit on the patio 3 times despite our objections. There were empty seats inside, but we were told we were only a party of two and could not sit at a table for 4. Seemed ridiculous since the tables went unsat for half the time we were waiting in line. A walk in party of 4 without a reservation was instead sat there half an hour after we had been waiting. My husband and I both work in the service industry and recognize the need to seat accordingly when necessary. The attitude, coupled with the table going unsat for the length of time and a non reservation taking precedent over a reservation were the central issues. Anyways, regardless of the negative start, our server was excellent. The food was good, not exceptional. I would say the price point here is not worth the atmosphere or dining experience. We are not likely to be back. It would be a restaurant to bring guests to...but not suitable for a foodie who prefers good food over atmosphere.
The unique food displays were unlike anything we had ever seen and the service was flawless. However, the food was extremely average and the cost of the food was extremely overpriced. For two people, we got three appetizers to share and one drink. The drink was not presented in a special way and was a normal sized glass. The appetizers were extremely small portions, and again, were not high quality food whatsoever. The total cost for those four items was $170. We couldn't believe it. Would not return despite its uniqueness.
We celebrated my son's 50th birthday, his first visit and our fourth. Our grand-daughters (14 and 10) were amazed by the entrées and desserts presentations, especially the funnel cakes and cotton candy desserts. They instagram, WhatsApp and texted photos to all their friends! All the family, young and old enjoyed the food, especially the 10 year old who LOVED the macaronis and cheese. A great time was had by all ... Thank you Barton G.
This was a really great restaurant! Nice ambiance and the food and service was fantastic! Julie waited on us and she was very bubbly and helpful! My only complaint is that once things fill up it’s a little snug in there. There was a table of 4 seated next to us and every time the woman backed her chair up in slammed into out table. The nitrogen martinis were awesome too, a little overpriced for what you get. They are about $30.00 and are a on the small side. That being said, it was a cool experience to order them and the presentation on The Buddhalicious was awesome! We will be back!
Maybe it was the 7:30 reservation but I didn’t expect to walk in and be surrounded by a big percentage of tables with little kids (7-14). I’ve never sat inside but it was a cold Florida night and my indoor experience was not great. Mind you, The food was very good and the presentation so much fun. I say try it but not before 8:30
I really enjoyed our experience. We went for my bday but the only thing I was not happy with was that our table was outside. We made reservations but they didn’t accommodate even though we specifically asked if we could get a table inside. It was not very packed. Other than that our waiter was amazing , the food was great and the dessert was top 3 best I ever had!!!
The presentation of the dishes is great! Fun and unique, however the quality of the food was mediocre at best. For what they charge, the food should be top notch not just well presented. The chicken was bland, the grouper was soggy, the steak was lacking flavor and the popcorn shrimp was presented with actual popcorn that were bigger than the shrimp. The drinks are grossly overpriced as well. This is a cool place to see once but I will not be returning.
We came to Miami for a friends birthday and the most recommended restaurant to go to was Barton G. So glad we made it because we had the best experience ever!! Service was great and the plate presentation was even better. Very extravagant restaurant and a must see.
We really enjoyed our dinner and our waiter. Excellent experience and although very much tailored for kids in terms of food presentation and liveliness of staff, the prices are certainly more for adults! We ended up having a phenomenal time but spending $650 for a dinner for 4 (including a 13 and a 14 year old) was not necessarily what we were anticipating. Nevertheless, the food was phenomenal and recommend splitting orders since plates are fairly large and that could potentially save you some $$.
Took my girlfriend out for her birthday. Told the server Corey that she’s allergic to shellfish. I ordered sea bass and she had steak. She tasted my sea bass which was not supposed to have any shellfish in it. On the way home her hands started to itch. By the time we got home she had broken out in hives. Looks like they didn’t take the time to clean the pots that they made my sea bass in and it has shellfish residue in it. Thanks a lot Barton g! We had to spend the night in the emergency room.
