Barton G. The Restaurant - Miami Beach Ratings and Reviews
First of all this is an experience in it self but the service and ambiance was amazing! the food was so delicious I have not had such a perfect meal in a long time. From the drinks to the amazing meal to the over the top dessert it will be a long time before I have an experience like this!
We really appreciate Barton G wonderful staff, it was my Little sister birthday , we all live in the north east and Canada , we got snow prior to arriving so everyone’s flights got delayed, and our reservation had to get pushed back, they accommodated us with no charge and also half of the party still was late because of the slow Uber’s they still took our orders ! Thanks so much for a great bday dinner! Food and service was impeccable !
I wasn't sure of what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is located in a very unsuspecting part of South Beach. You are not required to wear a coat and tie. In fact, dress jeans are acceptable. Everything, including their drinks, comes out with a theme and presentation. And for all of the show, I was very concerned that the quality of the food and drinks would be compromised. However, that was not the case at all. Everything was delicious and fantastic ... including the service. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant and we will definitely be returning.
We came to Miami Beach for the weekend for my friends birthday from Toronto, Canada. Arrived on time for our RSVP at 9 pm was not seated until 9:20 pm in fairness it was a Friday night but i feel like whats the point of a RSVP if you're still waiting. We were Finally seated our server was handling Our table and another Table next to us. All the attentiveness went to the other table he rushed through menu descriptions as I over heard him take the time to describe items he never even mentioned to our party, The whole Experience was just disappointing especially because this was a trip highlight as it was for a birthday dinner the Food was okay Over Priced but for the presentation understandable. My favorite part of the night was my Drink " Diamonds Are Forever " and when the bill came. I can't say i'd give it another chance but it is a true visual culinary experience if you're into it
I really wanted to like this place and I was really torn between a 3 Star/4 star for this (not that it's of huge importance). First of all, the food is good and the service is even better. I ordered 2 appetizers and the lobster Mac and cheese, which is technically a side but could've been a meal on its own. I also believe this is not a restaurant to go with a small group. Go with a bunch of people because the whole attraction to this place is the experience. The desserts seemed to be more attractive than anything else on the menu, but were all too large for 1-2 people. The experience was cool and ever dish is served with some sort of gag or toy.
It was fun, but the prices really turned me off. There's no reason everything has to be so expensive, even with the toys that came with it. What turned me off even more was the fact that people came around 5 minutes later to clear said items, so the experience was kind of lost. My bill was $106 for 2 apps, a side, tax and gratuity. I understand industry standard for large groups is an automatic 20% gratuity, but it bothered me eating alone that they added an automatic 18%. I enjoyed the service and the recommendations by the server, but let me make that decision as to how much I'd like to tip. In fact I almost always leave 25%, but I chose to not tip any more because of the automatic tip added to my bill.
All in all a cool experience, but I probably won't go back again. The prices were just not worth it. The food was good, but not amazing. This may be a fun place to go for dessert with a large group.
Came to celebrate two birthdays.
Service was extremely slow. When we did receive food and/or drink the special decorations were rushed away to use for other patrons! We were told the manager would come to our table twice to apologize for delay in kitchen (we did not request this). Manager never arrived. Forced to pay 18% gratuity on tab.
Spoke with manager on my way out, manager said he would make a follow up call to us today. No call received!
The food was great and the presentation is out of this world. It is truly a unique setting with each dish coming with a comical plating. Everyone has fun and is always watching what dish is going to each table around them. It is a very interactive and fun experience.
The presentation of the food was very creative and grand. The server was very attentive and professional. We went around 7 o'clock for dinner so there wasn't a lot of noise. Towards the end of our dinner more people started coming into the restaurant. Nice and clean restroom. My only complaint was the meat was not cooked exactly how I asked. I wanted medium well plus, it came out more medium rare and more raw than I prefer my beef. The funnel cake for dessert was amazing. Everything else was wonderful.
Celebrated my 30th birthday at this amazing and fun restaurant.. Was seated right away even though we arrived 10 minutes late.. Staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and described everything to a tee.. Loved the environment, it was such an incredible experience. My boyfriend, who at the beginning thought it was unnecessary, actually appreciated the huge displays by the end of the dinner.. The Food was delicious, definitely worth the money and it’s actually reasonably priced. Great experience will come again if I’m back in Miami
