We politely decline reservations for dessert only.
It’s an experience that everyone should have at least once in their life. The light was a little dim and I had some trouble reading my menu. Next time I’ll order the meal with the spaceship, that dish provides a lot of light!
Overall it’s my favorite place to eat down there because of the presentations. We went for my birthday and had a great time. The food was good Albiet expensive which is already to be expected just a drink is 32 for example. I don’t mind this as it’s such a fun place.
The only issues we had was the hostess tried to send the two of us in the middle table of the restaurant which I hate and it wasn’t very busy with plenty of side tables for two people so we asked to be moved and see did. Also the guy that took plates away as we were done was constantly rushing us and asking to take the plates before we were even done eating on each course. It was awkward and uncomfortable. No one wants to be rushed thru an almost 500 dollar birthday dinner. Since he was there so often, I asked him for another drink and he wasn’t friendly about it at all and said he doesn’t do that, the waitress does, without offering to get the waitress or tell her. He should work elsewhere.
The rest was great. Lobster pop tarts, filet mignon, lobster Mac and cheese, asparagus etc were delicious. But since we wanted to share the alcarte side dishes it would’ve made sense If they brought them out put them in the middle instead of putting it on our own individual plates and then us trying to figure out how to share it. We managed lol. Will be back for another special occasion I’m sure.
This restaurant is amazing & I can’t wait for them to open in NYC!
We had to wait about 15 mins as they wanted to seat us outside in the dark. Looked like some made up space. We sat upstairs and had to walk through the kitchen and up some steep steps to get there. Our table was very dark so we had to use our phone light to see the menu.
Our waitress was very nice but seemed very busy overall.
The presentation of the food is definitely over the top but the serving size is small so you’re pretty much paying for the look.
Don’t plan on returning. The experience overall was ok.
What an amazing experience! Not only was is creative it tasted amazing as well
Barton G, while still unique, is no longer the standard for high end service.
The bartender takes forever to acknowledge that you're standing directly in front of them to he serviced, and the waiter forget to put in our drink orders.
We would have loved to enjoy the dramatic presentations however our table for 5 could barely fit breadsticks and wine glasses, so we had to send all the props away before we could even photograph them and take them in. Overall, it was nice while it lasted, but Barton G is no longer for us.
Awesome restaurant great attentive staff ,food was perfect and the presentations WOW
The service was great and the food presentation was amazing! The food was good, but not amazing. The dessert was awesome!
I love the ambience of Barton G. And it is someplace that you have to go for yourself at least once in your lifetime. But overall I’ve been to a lot of places that were less expensive and the quality of the food was better. The presentation is unmatched. But the food was average at best.
We were celebrating a birthday. Everything was up to par and our expectations were more than met.
The food was just average for the prices the presentation of the food was about the best thing about the food
Overpriced restaurant with gimmicky props. Cocktails very expensive hence empty bar. Food was ok but everything overpriced because of the props. Not worth it just to get photos with oversized utensils etc.
It’s an experience! Deserts are really great too.
Best birthday ever! Highly recommend the fried snapper with fried rice!
I loved it. I do wish that they would have given me the option of viewing their $75 summer pre fix menu...which they did not. All else was great. :) Nancy
This place was awaeome the presentation of the food was amazing this is not from a robot, imthis was an epic family experience
Food and seeing was mediocre for the cost. Nice ambiance poor service.
I asked for a vegan option and was informed they could make the risotto vegan. My plate arrived full of cheese. The server should’ve realized they made an error. However, he didn’t and I had to wait another 20 min after other members in my party finished their dinner. Then they charged me for two entree’s. Had to wait a while for them to correct the bill. They never offered anything to correct their mistakes. Very poor customer service! Very disappointed!
Waitress should recommend specials to everyone. I should not have found out the restaurant was running a special until September 22, 2019 via Instagram the next Day . Very unfair and unprofessional. Waitress should communicate this to ALL .
The over the top presentation is unbelievable but the taste of the food definitely falls short and for the price you pay it is definitely not worth it. Unless you go to dinner for photos or social media purposes. I really wanted to love this place from seeing photos on line. I would not return or recommend.
Price is not worth the quality of food and service.
Great and expensive!!! But worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They cooked our steaks wrong twice! Then on 3rd try mine was cold. Shocked that they didn’t take any of our 3 steaks off and just gave us a desert. Very horrendous. At the prices they charge, you would have expected management to care more.
Dinner was great!! Just be careful! One plate can cost as much as $165!!
It was great!!
Expensive but it is an experience to do at least once
Amazing experience! Certainly worth a visit for a special occasion. Great food, service, and drinks.
Food was decent
Such a fun and unique experience!!! Do not go without ordering dessert! They are big enough for the table!!
They told me a dress code. Yet no no was dressed correctly.
Terrible small table.
Rude staff. Especially front of house.
Gimmick food and presentation.
Cold and tasteless food.
Wish we never went
The place was OK, the dessert we wanted was not available and it wasn't anything fancy. We wanted funnel cake. Value is way overpriced.
I went about 8 years ago and was thrilled with the experience. My daughter had never gone so I decided to take her in an early celebration of her 23rd birthday. Once again, I was very happy with the experience and we had an amazing time. Not only is it the presentation amazing but the food was excellent
I took the kids to gave some fun, and they really loved! The food was great.
We had a fantastic time for our daughter's 14th birthday. We were a group of 6. Everyone loved what they ordered. The presentations were spectacular of course. We had good and efficient service; not friendly AT ALL but efficient, which was fine. Could have been a bit nicer since it was my daughter's actual birthday. That was the only slight negative along with the ridiculous price for valet (no other option due to the neighborhood having no parking). Overall, not a place I would go to regularly, but fantastic for a special occasion.
Excellent experience! The waiter was amazing, the service in general was unforgettable. Food was not great but presentation of course was the best! Highly recommended.
Staff was attentive I will be returning soon.
Ambiance and food presentation is great, actual food not so much.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here! We enjoyed everything from start to finish; drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert. Everything was tasty and presentation was exceptionally fun.
