Barton G. is an amazing, memorable, and totally unique dining experience unlike anywhere else. The famous presentations and displays are stunning, and off-the-wall creative. But beyond the show, the food itself is also outstanding. Highly recommend the Lobster Pop-Tarts, Bordelaise Braised Short Ribs, and Truffled Lobster Mac & Cheese! Also some amazing signature cocktails. Service was prompt, friendly, attentive, and obviously well-trained. The Manager Michael was quite personable and professional, actively involved, interacting with guests, and running the show with aplomb. Everything on the menu looked great, but it definitely needs some more veggie options (only one single veggie side dish), and some healthier options. Overall, Barton G. is dining adventure not to be missed.

Their Instagram account is not sufficient to give you a real perspective of the restaurant. The photos are overrated. The food itself is a bad experience, and expensive. The presentation of the food, which is what the restaurant is known for, is really not worth it, as it seems it is not properly cleaned. We waited for 20min for the drinks (!) for the kids to arrive, and 45min for the food to arrive. The waiting was the least of the problems. The quality of everything is really the low point of the restaurant. I was in a party of 4 people, my two kids, my wife and I, we had reservations but we were not allowed to sit inside, where we wanted. The restaurant was full, yes, but there was an empty table inside for 5 people, and we were not allowed to sit at that table because our party was of 4 people.

I have been to Barton G many times over the years, and I’m sorry to say that my experience this time was very disappointing. I had reservations for 4, to celebrate a graduation. We arrived and the entire restaurant was empty, yet they sat us outside. Our table was very shaky, and they had to move us to another one. The fans kept turning off all night long, and it was unbearably hot. There was only 1 waiter for the entire outside area, which started to get full by the time we placed our order. The waiter kept complaining and telling us he had a lot of big parties so we would have to wait. We waited 45 minutes to get a soda. They would bring out the food and never come back to take the presentations, so we were extremely uncomfortable all night long. We cut dinner short because the experience was so terrible, that we didn’t want to continue suffering through dessert and after dinner drinks. The food was just ok, the menu hasn’t changed in years so it’s very predictable if you have been there before. I don’t think I’ll ever be back.

We recently celebrated my son’s 20th birthday at Barton G, and it was definitely a night to remember. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was lively and the presentation of every dish was absolutely show-stopping. I started with the Dead or Alive drink — a fun, dramatic cocktail that totally fit the over-the-top vibe of the place. For appetizers, we had the Lobster and Shrimp Tempura, which was fresh and crispy, and the Lobster Pop-Tarts, which were exquisite. A unique, decadent twist on a classic idea — highly recommend. For our main course, we shared Barton’s Castle, a dinner for two featuring a massive tomahawk steak and a 1lb lobster, served with creamy mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked asparagus. It was indulgent and beautifully presented — a real centerpiece meal. We finished with The Carnival dessert, which came out on a merry-go-round display with funnel cakes and various dipping sauces. It was playful, nostalgic, and delicious. Our server was wonderful — classy, attentive, and professional. Even though she was working other tables, she made sure to check on us regularly and kept the experience personal. Now, the price: while I expected it to be a splurge, our total came to $735 (18% tip and tax included) for two people, plus $25 for valet parking. The food, drinks, and experience were worth it for a special occasion, but $9 for a bottle of water felt a little excessive. All in all, we spent close to $900 for the evening. Barton G is definitely a place for special occasions — where presentation and atmosphere are as important as the food. Pricey? Yes. Worth it for the memories? Absolutely.
