You know we got there and it was great drinks were great appetizer was great . But then we waited for 1.5 hours for a Tomahawk steak that was SUPPOSE to be wagyu steak and one it was not . Two it was extremely dry . And you know it sucks because we really expected more from this place . And they sliced the steak and it was even more dry and not flavorful at all .. and come to find out that steak with a tiny lobster coat $350. Like come on . You’ve got to be kidding me ? Market price for this steak not being wagyu is $20 per pound . The wagyu market price is $90$ per pound and the come like 2-3 pounds . No problem right if it was actually wagyu and cooked correctly . Honestly the only reason i ordered this was because my boyfriend is obsessed with trying steaks in different restaurants. This was one of the biggest disappointments. The total bill was $520 with drinks and our tartar . I didn’t even want to show my boyfriend how much i paid for this dinner because it was so disappointing. I hope the chef or manager reads this and gives me a refund and a call to apologize and I’ll give him the proper way to cook a tomahawk and to show them the difference between wagyu and regular steak . Never going back . So sad about it .
Took my daughter there for her graduation and we had a wonderful time! Our server was great and the food was amazing!!
Great time as usual
I felt it was Overpriced and the dishes I received were not great. I was disappointed in my dish and couldn’t even find the waiter to tell him
Only down fall to the whole night is that it was a limited menu. We had certain things in mind to order and they weren’t on the menu. However, they were fully accommodating towards my kids and it was an amazing night.
Overall my wife and I had a good experience, food and service was good, just kinda pricey for what you get. Good for special occasions
A fun restaurant with the coolest presentation of food of any restaurant I have ever been to. Absolutely a must go to restaurant when in LA.
The food was delicious but the service was pretty bad. I think they might just be trying to get back in the swing after being closed, however there were people being served next to us and behind us who arrived a considerable amount of time after us. Probably won’t be back for a minute.
Host, waiters, food and presentation all great. Very flavorful and excellent taste in everything we ordered. Overall, gave it 4 stars as parking appears to be valet only and when we received car back our gas tank was open which only occurs if they were deliberately trying to open tank or trunk (we had valet lock so trunk unable to be opened). Stuff looked rummaged through in car.... not good. Read yelp reviews and saw others had same issues. Can’t enjoy again unless I know car is safe.
Father’s Day
Barton G was amazing! Not only does the presentation make the whole experience so fun, but the food was absolutely excellent. Because of covid, the restaurant was relatively quiet compared to their usual set up. So amazing!
This restaurant is one of of kind. Meals are served in a very grandiose presentation which are part entertaining and part over priced. Although, we like dining here for special occasions due to the fact that the dishes you will be served here are always fun and delicious.
Everything was perfect from presentation to food
Great I will be coming back .I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH MY SERVICE
The food was delicious 👍🏻
We love our experience at Barton G, food and drinks presentation was impressive, service and quality of food are excellent!
Go about 4 to 6 times a year and never disappoints. Even without the amazing presentation the food is excellent from the Lobster Pop Tarts, the New York Steak, chopped salad and the lobster Mac and Cheese. Cocktails amazing and well worth the money. Excellent servers and staff kept everything clean and safe
Presentation, Presentation, Presentation!!!!
OH! and food is awesome and takes Center Stage.
Great place for a special day that you will always remember... loved it.
Food was amazing! You’re really paying for the props but I’d go again to try every single item
Amazing place! Everything was a presentation! I ordered my food based on the presentation. Everything was next level amazing
I came from Dallas, food was more than unsatisfactory. My quests & I were very shocked & disappointed.
it was our first experience there. It was fun and we enjoyed it. the staff were amazing, super attentive.
Good experience but a little overpriced. A place to go, but not sure it is a place I would go back to over and over again.
Very fun restaurant. Noticed it would be great for children because their dishes are so creative and their desserts would just thrill a kid. Highly recommend. Food was absolutely delicious.
Came in expecting a great experience and they certainly delivered! Food was amazing though and made the whole experience outstanding! Five stars on all fronts!
Great presentations that overshadowed the taste of the food
I took my family to Barton G for a great dining experience and they loved it! The food was amazing, drinks were delicious and overall we made memories that we will talk about for many years! We all had different entrees and each one was fantastic. We will be back for our girl's trip in December!
Everything thing was amazing. Staff is very friendly. All food was delicious. My kids enjoyed their fancy drinks!
Birthday celebration was phenomenal thanks to this place!
It was overall amazing! The experience was awesome and I can’t wait to go back. No complaints.
I loved the presentation of the drinks and foods.
Presentation was amazing. Tables were close together. Short ribs were good but not amazing.
This was my second time here. Went the first time with my boyfriend so I took my best friend with me here again. Would I ever come back? Probably NOT. I’m not gonna name who but our server was incredible RUDE, MEAN we did not treat us with any kind of what you so call good “customer service”. He took our drink order and disappeared for a good while. Our drink came out everything was going good. And then we were just sitting there waiting.... by the time he came back to put in our order, we already was done with our drink. I get it at the time I did not pick such a good combination of food, but as a server why do you gotta give me this nasty look with so much attitude. I will pick whatever I want lol it’s not your place to judge. I called popcorn shrimp and lobster pop tart with short ribs we weren’t that hungry ..anyways... I didn’t care at this point just figure he just probably have a bad day. Nope when he brought out the food everything with him was like don’t touch, I got it, no, like chill. Even with the drink.... What really got me at the time was the combination of everything. I ate one lobster pop tart and have everything wrap up to go at this point I had enough with the way he treated our table. Didn’t even get dessert. I don’t know what this guy deal is but he just ruin our whole dinner experience. Other then that EVERYONE else was incredible nice host to food runner.
Phil was our waiter n was great and very attentive
Such a great experience!! Definitely worth your $$. Beautiful atmosphere and staff.
It was a fun experience and great food. Our server Phil was great.
Place was way too bright. The service was pretty bad, I had to steal silver wear from a nearby table for both apps and mains. Drinks were refilled slowly and over checking on table was infrequent. When my dinner was dropped off the plate slid off the display and would have landed in my lap if I hadn’t caught it.
This place needs to stop relying on gimmickie plates and get back to basic. Nice ambient lighting, music, service and food.
I won’t be returning; too many other amazing restos in LA
I think if your going to be springing that’s type of money then our drinks should always be filled.
I expected more than just garden art for my money. The food was good, but nothing wowed me. Putting a drink through a tube, doesn’t double the cost of a drink. Ice cream promises of special toppings, that included whip cream and sprinkles, didn’t cut it. Five pieces of claw meat in my lobster Mac and cheese, under impressed me. Waiter not understanding gluten free options in California, what? $470.00 later, you can find better places to spend your money in LA.
I might reccomend. It is 50:50. Food was ok. Noise level was high
