This was just too expensive for what you get, food was meh, servers were overworked and service was slow.
This is a GREAT spot to go before shows in the theater district of San Francisco - especially if you are with a group. Great sharable food, big tables, responsive staff. Will keep this as a pre-show spot.
Fantastic place. would and will go there again. friendly atmosphere
It was a great atmosphere, great food and super fast service!
Went there for a quick dinner and was not disappointed. Food was well prepared, beer excellent. One less star for the noise.
Enjoyed it. Kind of captures the atmosphere of Union Oyster House in Boston, oldest pub in U.S. allegedly. Service was very attentive. Well positioned big screen TVs: Warriors game was on, and they were winning.
A very "happening" place. Noisy bar crowd with at least six televisions going. We were seated by the front near the fireplace which was very nice. The service was very good, the food was surprisingly tasty, but too frenetic for my taste.
We made a reservation on Open Table. When we arrived on time, hostess was prepared and had our res. Our table was ready as requested. Already happy about this.
Showed us to our table and we were served quickly. Server was attentive and kind. Brews were great, food was excellent. The kids Mac n cheese was delish! So were the fried pickles and buffalo cauliflower. Good enough that I want to make my own buffalo cauliflower at home! Overall, I was looking for a decent, solid brewpub with good selection of beer and food. Was well satisfied with our visit and we will be back.
First tome dining here. Expected a much more Gastro Pub experience as with the many others I have been to while traveling. This is more of a pub like feel and menu. Burgers, fries, fried food, pasta, etc. nothing wow I gotta try it. Otherwise, the food was prepared well. Our server, Melissa was friendly and tried hard to keep up with her load of tables, she had no support from other staff. I watched bussers and food runners assisting others but not her. Ultimately my party felt it. Again, she was very friendly but clearly had a heavy load. I see this as Managements fault..
We were going to a concert and needed a relaxed, fun place to eat. Bartlett Hall delivered on both of those thing. They had a good menu and wide variety of beer, cocktails, and wine. Very pleased with the experience.
Chicken wings, Gin cocktail Bartlett75 and the grilled chicken sandwich were excellent. The beyond burger was a disappointing meat to bun ratio
Great spot to eat before the theater (Golden Gate Theater). It has a nice vibe, good food and good beer. It's a bit expensive- but it's San Francisco.
Too loud, overpriced w good that was ho-hum
I have eaten at Bartlett Hall quite a few times as the menu is varied and it has a relaxed vibe. Easy to get to. But the food is nothing special and the most recent visit (6 Sept) the service was not great - felt like we were putting them out just for being there and it wasn't even that busy.
Very nice meal, great beer, super cute place!
Best kale salad with salmon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! B
Great Food and service.
A. 10 except seated me by the kitchen door... I hate kitchen and baths door seats. lol
Great pub atmosphere and food. As expected, noise level is pretty high but it is part of the ambiance
Great food and drink selection, with prompt friendly service. Burger was top notch, so flavorful no need for condiments. Will be back next time when in town.
Great place to eat near Union Square and theater district. Best burger in town.
Service was fast and very on-top-of-it and the location is convenient. The food was just average—not crazy expensive for SF but just nothing great. My pizza was the best entree we ordered.
Amazing food and they use rittenhouse for the well manhattan which was awesome. Apps came after entrees so service timing was bit off. Still highly recommend.
Excellent service, Excellent food and excellent beer! Definitely recommended.
We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly. It was very busy and noisy near the bar but, in the back, it was much more relaxing. You could converse without shouting. TV screens were available in both rooms. The burgers were great. This restaurant would be good for both young and not so young diners.
After a busy day of walking up and downhill, seeing Hamilton and more walking, our dinner here was so satisfying and really delicious.
Great fried pickles and IPA! My cheeseburger was perfect and vegetarian burger got a thumb’s up, too.
Happy hour is a great deal.
Great meal and nice ambience. Good selection of drinks.
Music was very loud but it was a Saturday night with live music and when we moved further back in the restaurant it was more bearable. Delicious food and great service.
The place has a great location for dinner before a show or hitting a few watering holes. The food is quite good, but not great. Service was good and prompt. We will come back....
entertaining a visiting nephew. he loved the fish tacos and the chance to try so many different beers. Sydney was a terrific server. Really appreciated being seated in the quieter back room on standard tables. Always our preference. The fish stew was a particular favorite and of course the buffalo cauliflower is always a must
Buffalo Cauliflower. Need I say more? Well, I could mention the perfect Wedge. Or fries. Or fish tacos. Or Shishito Peppers. Great pre-theater spot, but as a local, have visited just for that Buffalo Cauliflower.
Good food, good beer, good time
Main courses brought to the table before we had finished our starters. Waiters forced the plates on to the table. No consideration paid to us.
It was a great diner at Bartlett Hall, delicious food, friendly service and nice atmosphere.
Yummy corned beef! Great wine selection!
Made reservation 3 days prior to arrival date. When we arrived at restaurant they had no table for us and we were sat in shared table with group of hard drinking locals.
Big portions, fun scene, discount to ACT play-goers
The service was down right pathetic! I was disgusted with the service we were provided. Our waitress was clearly miserable and did not do anything to warrant a tip what so ever (she was tipped). She did not check on us once did not speak to us except to take out drink order (which was wrong) and our food order at the same time. Our food was horrible and the entire experience was just pathetic. Honestly I have been to McDonald’s that have had better service. The food menu is extremely limited and drinks the same.LOOK ELSE WHERE!!!
Great place for a pre-theater dinner or drinks! Quick and friendly service and good selection of American/pub food options. Food is well-prepared and comes in generous portions. There are a lot of different seating options (high and low tables, booths, longer tables) to accommodate different types of groups.
