Cracking pub! Staff are superb and so is the food. Would definitely visit again
Brilliant service, totally relevant to customer needs. Well explained menu, great drinks recommendations. Food was excellent, great sizes to be able to mix and match. Vegan dish was tasty and filling. Brisket was delicious. Jordan was a welcoming host who was authentic in his approach.
Amazing small plates in a cosy country inn. Food was innovateive but very tasty, I particularly like their take on a traditional Christmas Dinner, both Mont Blanc and Hazelnut Baked Cheesecake desserts were also very tasy.
Food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and attentive and their approach to make a safe environment to eat in these crazy covid times was the best we have seen! Will definitely be back!
Went to the Bathurst Arms recently for lunch. Very good food, and COVID preparations were well done. The roast was excellent as were the tapas style small plates. You only need a few as they were quite filling. They have made an effort to go Organic, and most of what they serve is rated Organic. They have also gone out of their way to source local. I will definitely be going back.
The food is fresh, local and presented well with great flavours and textures. A joy to eat and highly recommended. We stayed in the Bathurst Arms for two nights and ate in the dining room both evenings.
Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.
We wish the Bathurst Arms all the best in its future success.

Amazing food, roaring fire and a lovely welcome service. Felt really sorry that because of the Tier restrictions the place was half empty at what should have been a busy weekend before Christmas ... we will be back!
We had a lovely couple of meals in the Bathurst Arms, We felt very safe and the staff were very attentive.
Excellent food and a great venue post lockdown. The Christmas pudding was to die for.
Delicious food and friendly staff, perfect place for COVID dining.
Memorable without being show-offy. The tapas-style format worked well. You could taste the quiet pride taken in the ingredients and their cooking. Definitely somewhere to go back to.
Excellent service, food & atmosphere- very COVID safe
A wonderful place to have stumbled upon. All staff were impeccably knowledgable and exceedingly friendly. The food, certified by the soil association for being mostly organic, was amazing - one of the beat roasts I have ever had.
What a pub....., definitely one of the best. The food is excellent, the service fantastic I highly recommend that place.
Delicious food- small plates. Best scotch egg I’ve ever had!
\We had never been here before and were pleasantly surprised to see that the menu was so original. A kind of fusion tapas menu. We chose two starters to share of smoked mackerel and celeriac. Then we had an individual venison pie each with fresh greens. Everything was very tasty. It is sourced locally . Hubby had the cheese platter which he said was very good and I had a delicious chocolate desert. We shared a good bottle of Merlot.
The waiter was attentive and the social distancing very well done.
My only slightly negative comment was that the part of the restaurant we were placed in was a little bare and the fire wasn't lit. The other side of the pub was much brighter and warm, I think that was where you could have bar food.
All in all a very pleasant evening.
The pub, atmosphere and service We excellent. The wine (Malbec) was lovely and the beer too. The food was disappointing. The Sunday lunch was a very small portion of meat with a few potatoes a Yorkshire pudding and some kale. No other Veg as they had run out. It was £16:50. Not great value. They did not charge for one Sunday lunch but we would have preferred a satisfying meal. The service was excellent.
Excellent food, great atmosphere... date night was made even more special.
Really lovely food, wine and service. Small plates worked really well for a group of 4
Beautiful spot and a lovely pub. But portions very small for the price. We asked for more roast potatoes & veg but they didn’t have enough. It was tasty, just too little!!
Completely brilliant meal and excellently friendly staff. We are now planning when we can go back.
Bit disappointing. Would describe the food as ungenerous. Very small mains portions, really need side orders.
Had celeriac main. It came with a very nice mushroom dab, but no flavour in celeriac. Thank god for chips!
Beetroot humous starter vary nice. We both had that, but both had dicky tums after..
Four of us had a lovely lunch, I liked the idea of the sharing plates as it gave us a variety and the food was of a high quality, although one of the party thought the dishes rather small. The service was top-notch; friendly without being gushing or ever present. Also appreciated being able to try the wine before ordering a bottle. Though I live an hour away, would definitely return and can recommend.
We love this place! My partner serves in the military and it is exactly half way between us, its a great place for us to catch up, spend time together in a lovely environment. Staff are lovely, and we certainly feel its the closest place we have to call home during the week.
Excellent, attentive staff accompanied with beautifully presented quality food in the perfect environment. Well done
Very friendly great pub. We use it to meet up all the time as its in the middle of where we live
Mid week Birthday meal for my hubby and what a tasty meal at that! Great menu choice, excellent quality and very attentive staff in a newly furbished bar/restaurant. So pleased this is my new local! The local Stroud Brewery Ale was a bonus for us both too!
Good service and food with a friendly atmosphere. Will visit again.
In the area just for a weekend away and was recommended this pub by a friend living nearby. Wonderful guys running it and the food was spectacular! The setting was also lovely
Haven’t been to The Bathurst Arms before. Greeting on entry was lovely, and helpful.
Service was very good, food was hot and nicely presented..
Value was a little expensive, but above all lovely setting.. will be back.
So good we went back the next night! Lovely place, really friendly staff and good location and surroundings.
Very tasty and unusual pub food with a good range of dishes both savoury and sweet. Friendly and efficient service.
A tasty and creative take on a Sunday roast, friendly service and very relaxing outdoor space
We sat in the front garden for a Sunday
Lunch. The service we received from all 4 staff was excellent. Food was superb. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be going back very soon. Barry and Tina. Aged 63/57 yrs
Great welcome and service and fab choice of dishes, large, sharing and small. Super value wine.
The food was good, but the portions were small. A pity there was intrusive muic playing in the garden, as it was a warm, sunny day and we would have liked to eat outdoors.
Went for lunch with a friend, sat outside, just gorgeous, really interesting menu, lots of choice and all dietary requirements catered to. Definitely going back again

A very relaxing enjoyable lunchtime
Been wanting to visit since learning of new management and Concept of small plates and was not disappointed.
Staff all very friendly and clearly passionate about their food, and so they should be.
Looking around the tables of different food we could have ordered everything, but what we had ordered was all lovely. We will be returning to try more!
Lovely, small quiet pub. We was hesitant due to some other reviews saying slow service but the food came out quickly. A tad more expensive than other places in the area but worth it!
