   Very disappointing. We waiting 15 minutes at the bar for our drinks and it wasn’t busy. The chips were cold and soggy and we weren’t asked if we needed additional drinks, we had to get someone’s attention. They also added a 10% service charge which we were not made aware of.

   On arrival greeted by warm, friendly staff and offered a choice of tables. Large and interesting menu and drinks list. Service and food were excellent Look forward to returning.

   Most of the food was really excellent with care taken over special dietary needs; the fish and chips, however, was disappointing. We will be coming back but might not have the fish.

   Excellent home cooked food. Staff very polite. The only reason for not giving this a 5 star review is that we booked this table days in advance but we were seated on our own in a large dining area so no atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for the food.

    First time at the Bathhurst went for valentine's....disappointed with food didn't eat much of my 5 course that was a joke! Too expensive for what you got and a £10 service charge on top! Without being asked . No effort went into valentine's at all no fire going no nice table candle was nearly gone .
