Overall great place. Food and drinks were amazing.
Our server was awesome, knowledgeable and charismatic.
The only downfall a little is while they set up a little candle which is a GREAT touch the LED spotlight over the side tables is simply too bright and blinding. We asked if they could be dimmed but they never were.

Fantastic! Highlight was the pork shank glazed with tamarind. The taste of the oysters were elevated by the Mignonette sauce with cucumber. The dates wrapped in bacon with chorizo were exceptional.
We will be back!!

EVERYTHING WAS OUTSTANDING! THE FOOD WAS AWESOME! but the a/c was either broken or turn off, it was super hot when we got there, later on it got better. beautiful place , we all love it, try the octopus you will not regret it

My husband's birthday is the day before Valentines Day so I have learned to book early! Tried Barterhouse for the first time this weekend for his birthday. Was fabulous food, service, and ambiance! We will recommend and also return. Thank you!

Everything was great except the business next door was blasting their base from the music and made it hard to talk to each other.

Service was next level. Food was delicious. So happy we went here. Staff was friendly, and knowledgeable.

New favorite spot for dinner! A total gem. The food was some of the best we’ve had in the Tampa area. Our favorites were the octopus (so so good!!!), the fresh catch (incredible grouper), and our spicy habanero tequila drinks. Love the vibe. We both agreed it feels like you’re in a New York cocktail/jazz bar. Kristie was an amazing server and sommelier. Will be back very soon.

Food was amazing! I had the pork shank and it fell right off the bone. Seriously the best pork dish I have ever had. There is a reason why you have to make reservations in advance!

Reminded me of a great spot in NYC we used to go to all the time. Our waitress was top notch, food and drinks were amazing. Ambiance and music choices were great as well! We will be back!

Awesome NYE experience! Constantly update and upgrade the menu. Love the Pimento dip, Sashito Peppers. The Cocktails are amazing, Cigar City is a new addition and Oh My Word! Is a LOCs creation and staple of the menu.

Hi, after traveling to see my sister (stage 4 rectal cancer ) for the Christmas 2020 holidays; I selected this restaurant. I eat out regularly for business and pleasure.
I love seafood and the octopus as well as scallops appeared appetizing online when I sought out a dinner location. My son, sister and I arrived on time at this restaurant for a 7:45pm dinner.
I called prior and inquired about the ambience /lighting (bright ?) based on the online reviews. The restaurant was fairly full with a loud large bar party on the left side. Initially , the maitre d tried to sit us in the doorway area then he chose a crammed location and he had very hard seats , we requested to switch those out.
Finally he seated us close to a party of 8, 3 and 4 respectively and clockwise from our table. With a large opening across from us on the long blue “both seats”.
Our waiter /server “Quinn “ was amazing and professional throughout our meal with describing and recommending appetizers to entrees. The food and wine were delicious.

However , busy bus boys and servers consistently spooked the dinner trafficking and squeezing past us (front and back ) our table was crowded with food and the table was apparently set for 2; not for the 3 of us to enjoy.
Finally when our entrees arrived we could see the maitre d had newly seated a couple (2) in a booth that had been set for 3 when we arrived.
I then motioned to him to observe our obvious seating arrangement and discomfort; it was too late as he appeared to not have noticed earlier.
If not for the waiter and his upbeat personality; dinner would have been worse. Thank you again Qunn-

Awesome experience. Amazing service. The food was outstanding, I have a couple dietary restrictions and it was no problem at all to find delicious options available that fit my needs. The menu is on the small side, but every item we ordered was so delicious. (Best octopus I’ve ever had) I would dare to call it my new favorite restaurant in Tampa.

I think if it was dimmer in the dining area it would have made an intimate ambience, the lights felt like bright spot lights at the tables

Great food

The $63 wagyu steak was not at all worth the price. The steak was very tough and had zero marbling. The steak in whole was very hard. You pay the price of wagyu because of the exceptional flavor and texture.. but unfortunately I’ve had better steak at longhorn. I also got the pork tenderloin but it was very salty and the sides were not appetizing. Shishido peppers and wings were delish! Although the place was beautiful, the food needed some help. I probably wouldn’t go back 😔

First time dining here and everything was exceptional. Pimento cheese app, wagyu strip and blue crab chilau were all outstanding.

WOW! WOW! WOW! This restaurant is amazing! Their signature cocktails are made with the finest detail. Dinner was amazing, everything was so good we ended up going back the next day for brunch. Amy was our waitress, THE BEST! We will definitely be back soon!

My husband and I went to experience Barterhouse for the first time as our wedding anniversary date. It was the perfect place for such an occasion. Beautiful interior decor and ambiance. Nestled in the heart of Ybor, each table was adorned with candlelight and the tinted restaurant windows made our seating feel perfectly private. The drinks were beyond anything we've tasted in Tampa and the food even more so. We honestly have mentioned more than once to each other and friends how it was by far the best meal we've experienced in Tampa. The rave we heard did not disappoint and was confirmed by our night here. We couldn't recommend Barterhouse enough, whether celebrating a special night out or just looking for a good place to eat. It's an authentic restaurant that makes us proud to live in Tampa. We can't wait to visit again. All of the staff were very friendly and respectful of the current COVID protocol and each guest.

For a cocktail I had the cucumber gimlet. It was a little syrupy for my taste so I switched to a gin and tonic which was good. We also had the black Manhattan which was very nice.
Apps were the octopus and the pigs in a bed (can't remember the name). Both delicious.
I had the pork shank with coleslaw it was amazing and my husband had grouper I believe.
His was a little underwhelming but very good.
The atmosphere is very nice and the service was good.
We would definitely go again. The one unfortunate thing is it's location.
Ybor is just so seedy especially at night. Not our vibe at all but it wouldn't keep us from going back or recommending it.
