   Great ambience, unnecessarily expensive wines…dinner for 3 with 20% tip over $500 (each dish at $30+ for small plates and 1 bottle of their cheapest Barolo at $120 and another bottle that I brought). Would like to see more options and ways to navigate menu to have ~$300 meal for 3.

   It seems like the food quality has declined over the past several months. The duck was not well prepared, the skin not properly scored. The Branzino was overcooked. Prices have gone up significantly. I hope they can go back to the high quality standards they used to have.

    First visit for my husband's birthday. Adorable room - very busy for a Monday. Great vibe. As the evening wore on they lit long candles which felt very charming. Ordered the scallops appetizer for $29. It came with shaved black truffle but you'd never have known by the taste - it was like the truffle wasn't there. The sauce was cold which felt unacceptable but as the waiter didn't pop by we didn't complain. Two scallops felt grossly overpriced - $20 would have been more in line with my expectations. Would not recommend this as an appetizer. Next, we both had the 12oz NY steak with mashed purple potatoes, broccolini and carrots. It's a generous meal and the steak was good. Nothing creative here, but solid. Dessert was a two mousse concoction on a praline base. That was pleasant. Overall, a decent place to visit. The waiter was great and the wine was lovely. LOVE the ambiance. I wouldn't personally return as it lacked a little something for me - at that price point I expect more culinary skill; it felt a tiny bit basic. But a solid meal and a pleasant night out.

    Ate outside in the covered area - was actually pretty comfortable temperature wise. We ordered many items in the menu (went with a group of pescatarians so wasn’t able to try the meat ragus) but the pasta dishes we had were delicious. Even as a non pescatarian the Paccheri Alla Norma was awesome. Highly recommend. The grilled octopus was prepared to perfection. The tuna tartare was good just nothing special. Great wine list. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

    Super cute patio that feels intimate yet accessible. Great for a date night. They have a small menu but everything is so yummy! Don’t bother with the bread basket for $3.50 it’s just regular white bread. The tuna tartar was a lil mayo-y but delish. The homemade pasta… you can’t go wrong!

    One of the best places in Venice and highly underrated. I dont understand how you’re always able to make a reservation but also it’s always packed when you go! Honestly I hope this stays a hidden gem so I don’t have to make reservations 10 days in advance ha

    waiter was miserable and never smiled. Seemed put out when i mentioned my mother had food alergies. Poured a 25 dollar glass of wine that was hardly 1/4 glass full. When we left we mentioned him to the french hostess and she smiled and never even apoligized. Would not return here.

    Amazing dinner with friends. We dined on the outside patio which was wonderful. The upstairs dining inside was a little noisier, but incredibly romantic with candlelight. The staff was welcoming and well informed. Great evening for us. Thank you Barrique!

    This is my second visit to Barrique and the good is exceptional ... and the staff is kind ... lets you take your time ... and clearly they are also passionate about the food! I would put it more in the special occasion category b/c it can run you about $100/person at minimum but I can say it is totally worth it ... I could not replicate what Barrique created and it is truly special.

    Great red beet pasta but rude waiter who clearly panders to men , and wholly ignores women. When my order was wrong, he apologized to my date; when we were ordering wine, he gave my date the list and took it away before I could even look . total misogynist.
