Great food. Lots of good choices. Wait staff was very friendly.
Tortillas were made with love! Such an extensive drink menu. Loved the chips and salsa! Affordable and easy lunch, brunch, drinks, and dinner spot! April is a true gem.
Amazing good, amazing service. The waiter was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and efficient. We had a rather large group and Barrio did not disappoint! Delicious food and great vibes-will definitely be returning.
service and food top notch. Seating, folding wooden chairs that are very uncomfortable.
The flavors were great and presentation very nice. I thought the guacamole was a bit pricey and the chips were not great. That’s why I went with a 4 star not a five. I would eat there again.
Loved Barrio Star. The food is excellent. The margaritas are great too. Will be returning.
The host was rude.
The food plates were $20 for 3 tiny tacos, rice and beans.
and it wasn’t even that good to be honest.
I heard so many good things about this place so this is a total bummer
Cute. Great spot.
Great food. Fantastic service. Plenty room outside. Highly recommend the margarita flight as well as both the shrimp AND THE salmon tacos.
amazing dinner for five on Taco Tuesday! we loved our pitcher of margaritas!
An awesome spot that’s delicious and high value.
Fun place. Good food. I wish they would bring back crispy potatoes from couple of years back.
Good food but an absolute service failure. This was our first visit and will not be going back anytime soon. There so many similar options in the area. A dining experience not worth my money.
Waiter was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Came up to us after we were seated for 2 mins and asked if we are ready to order. We said not just yet and he just left without saying anything. Then he came back 10 mins later to take our drink and food order since we were ready with both. 40 mins later our food came out but still no drinks. Asked the chef that brought the food about our drinks. He then told our waiter and they eventually came out. Waiter blamed it on the bartender when I clearly saw the waiter/bartender make our drinks. Also saw the table next to us get the wrong check and have to ask for help from another server. Food was bland and way overpriced. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.
Michael the manager was outstanding. He was very patient and helpful with us in solving a problem related to the use of an OpenTable dining award. The food was very good but for some reason not quite as good as the last time we were there. And our server was good, as well, but seemed frustrated with us when we told him we were going to be using an OpenTable award but were having an issue with it. Overall, we really like this place and will eat there again.
Food was great and drinks were awesome.
Food was good, but cold ( served outdoors in 65 degree weather on cold steel plate). Service not fast, but not bad. Tip suggestions were from 20% to 30% !! Prices up recently -- Open Table menu very outdated ($15 taco plates now $20 -- see Barrio Star website). Tentatively would recommend, but borderline.
Keeping COVID in consideration, I would dine here again. The service was average, but the food made up for it. As a place with a full bar, I’d expect someone to be able to answer me in regards to mezcal, but alas, it could be the manager or someone else serving tables who wouldn’t normally do so. We are inside, which was pleasant from the street, and I ate the half chicken; the hubbs had the chile rellenos with carnitas! So damn good! Try it out!
Amazing service! Delicious margaritas and friendly staff! Steak Tacos were delicious! Loved the guacamole, chips & salsa!
Drinks were amazing! Food delicious. Servers fabulous!
We chose to go here partly because a friend said the margaritas were really good (delicious!) and partly because the pics of the food looked amazing. We had a great time, the food was delicious, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the drinks were so good! Definitely met my expectations and then some and you’d best believe I’ll be going back!
Server offered to bring us chips, salsa and guacamole to start. Of course we said “yes”, later to find out that they cost $11. He made it sound like it was complimentary. Chips were amazing though, so I’m glad we got them. The rest of our food was just okay, and $20 for three tacos was overpriced. I think this place is mostly known for their margaritas, and we don’t drink, so if you’re into that, you’ll probably love this place.
Not much to say, just awful inattentive service. We had chips, one drink and decided to go somewhere else before we even ordered food.
Food quality is really high. Not your “average” Mexican restaurant.
Great food and service
Great Margaritas and tacos! We went for Happy Hour and had the indoors to ourselves...first time indoor dining in over a year! Our server was very friendly and attentive.
It was pretty good food, nice drinks, and a spacious atmosphere in a vibrant community.
Drinks are great, food is mediocre. In a town with so much good Mexican food, you need to stand out in order to warrant charging those prices. I've been here for dinner and brunch, and both times I was underwhelmed by the food. I love the ambiance inside, and the outdoor space is very nice for brunch/lunch, which is why I have returned.
Service super slow , very messy and we had to cancel our food due to a hair in the salsa.
Service was great. Didn’t seem like enough direct heat for outdoor evening dining. Seems like food quality is slipping a bit. Outdoor entertainment was nice but just a tad too loud, especially for the tables right next to the performer.
The place is in a great location. We were seated right away. Our food and drinks took way longer than a typical taco sit down spot. The vegan tacos left much to be desired. Soyrizo and pico de gallo with zero vegetables not even lettuce as an optional add on. The guacamole was good. Everyone else thought that their food was fine. Just bummed about the long wait to eat at an hour that wasn’t busy
Let’s just say I got soup and the soup was like warm.
Felt like our waiter was hiding from us the whole time. Never brought us refills. We had to complain to talk to someone about where our order was. HAD NO ANSWER!
The tacos with the homemade corn tortillas are amazing! Everything was great- but BE WARNED THEY DO NOT PRIORITIZE RESERVATIONS. We still had to wait about 20 minutes to sit down
Great service and food is spectacular! Fresh, homemade and margaritas are the best in town by far!
Love the fish tacos, flavorful salsa and relaxed atmosphere!
Overall the food was very bland - everything needed salt (I’m sensitive to salt so saying it needs it is telling) the chips were stale & I ended up with a $17 small bowl of soup 😂 I wished someone would have told me adding chicken and avocado would add $7 to my $10 soup. For whatever reason it had a sour taste I couldn’t put my finger on & I would never order it again.
Their menu is slightly varied due to closures. Overall I didn’t see the value in the current prices/quality
I came here for brunch on a Saturday. The food was good, but pricey. As for the staff, they were friendly and attentive. There was live music being played, which was a nice touch. Overall, I enjoyed the food...the bill was just a little more than I expected for brunch.
Had a great time and a great meal.
Great drinks, great food, great vibe! Tacos are interesting and flavorful
Food was excellent.
