-To accommodate our reservations in a timely and orderly manner, our team has carefully designed time frames in which to dine.
Group sizes and allotted dining times are:
Dinner: 1-2 guests (1:30), 3-4 guests (1:45), 5-8 guests (2:00) 8+ guests (2:30)

-We do not accept multiple bookings, all multiple reservations made for the same party will be acknowledged as individual reservations.

-Please arrive on time for your reservation. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your reservation, we may cancel your reservation. We will do our best to seat you on time and look forward to your visit.

The waiter spent more time telling us what they didn’t have on the menu than what was available on the menu, don’t sit in the white hightop chairs by the fire. They are very lightweight and unsteady, atmosphere is nice.

We shared the meat and cheese boards which was plenty for three people, as well as the shrimp ajillo and a beet salad. The shrimp was not anything special. The beet salad was good and we shared a very good bottle of Spanish red wine.

Overall the experience was very average but acceptable. Certain of our dinner selections were unavailable. Service was not as attentive as it should have been but was generally friendly and helpful. The food itself was average with some dishes less than hot/warm. The value prop was out of whack—prices were higher than the food and experience could support.

While I’ve been eager to try this restaurant for some time and the atmosphere is very contemporary and fresh (especially compared to many Vail options) — regrettably, the food didn’t measure up. The seafood gazpacho was creative, but without texture (puréed). The broken egg appetizer and octopus entree were dry and without a sauce to tie things together. But the red snapper entree was a standout - truly amazing!

The service was not very good, we had three different waiters. When we walked in they did not have our reservation, even though I showed them my email confirmation and explained that the restaurant called to confirm. We waited for a few minutes then we were walked to our table with no menus. The food was not good, we ended up leaving without finishing anything. Would not go back.

Good food overall, but way overpriced - even by Vail standards (I’m a local). A tapas plate shouldn’t be $30 for shrimp.

Every minute spent in this beautiful restaurant was a pleasure! José took great care of us and the food arrived promptly. We enjoyed the garlic shrimp, the croquettes, the octopus entrée, and the fish entrée….all delicious. We will definitely be back!

Gigi and Samuel did a great job waiting on us. The Spanish wine that was suggested was very good. The steamed mussels were Great! We liked that they had a few La Bottega items on the menu.

We went for the croquettes but they ran out shorty after opening, according to the waiter. Otherwise, food was good. The truffle gnocchi was especially excellent and service was top notch!

Barrio Social is fantastic! I’d been wanting to try it for the while and it did not disappoint. Every dish was outstanding - the clams were my favorite. My server did a great job helping me navigate the menu and made excellent recommendations. I will definitely be back!

Extremely loud. Could barely hear the others at the table. Super hot the thermostat said 79. The food was ok at best. Ended up leaving after a couple tapas. Disappointed because we had been looking forward to trying it.

During my recent visit to Barrio Social, a Spanish tapas restaurant, I was thoroughly disappointed with both the quality of the food and the level of service provided. The dishes we ordered were lukewarm at best, which made me question whether they had been sitting out for too long. The food lacked any real flavor or standout elements that would have made the experience more enjoyable. In addition to the unsatisfying food, the service was painfully slow. We waited 15 minutes to even be greeted. Overall, my visit to Barrio Social was a complete letdown. The lukewarm food, combined with the slow and inattentive service, left me feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an enjoyable dining experience.

Disappointing and we are not coming back. The food was 50/50. Another words half of the tapas items tasted ok and other half did not. The croquetas de jamon were cold on the inside, had no ham in them at all, and were the consistency of liquid mashed potatoes on the inside. The shrimps were also lukewarm. It’s obvious that they pre-make their items and then just don’t keep them sufficiently before serving them. Easily only half of the things we ordered just didn’t taste good at all. It simply was not a pleasant culinary experience. Not worth a second visit.

Thought we’d found a nice restaurant to celebrate a beautiful evening in Vail. Given that we are in a ski village I walked in with a bit of trepidation as to the service, but thought that based on the price point and the fact this IS Vail, service levels would be good. After being quickly seated and provided water, we were left to our own devices for a good 15-20 minutes before the server even reluctantly acknowledged us. I say “reluctantly” because I had to flag down the water boy to grab the server. Let’s say he wasn’t enthused to get the request or even apologize when he arrived at our table. I get it, all servers have bad days, but a basic “hello, and welcome to…” is generally expected and this restaurant wasn’t even particularly busy. Cocktails were ordered and then took another 10 minutes for delivery. Not sure why, but the bar staff looked both hurried and a little disorganized. Wine menu was taken from the table before we could order our dinner drinks. Had to ask for its return. We decided to order a series of tapas plates which were well executed by the kitchen with the exception of the olives which were a cold disappointment. It’s a dish that takes next to no energy to make fantastic and I was expecting more. Literally the same store bought olives I’d get at my local grocery store. Dessert wasn’t offered nor was coffee or tea. Left with my trepidation confirmed re: ski village restaurants and service levels. In the end Vail may have expensive real estate but it’s also very similar to an airport. You’re just passing through and they know it.

The service was good. A bit pricey. Langoustines were tiny! The ham croquette was all mashed potato with a Glenn of ham every other bite. The rest was good.- ok. No need to return.
