Definitely recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes! They were so fluffy and delicious. Also tried the chicken al pastor nachos which were just as tasty.
Very rushed service. They brought food within minutes of us ordering so it must have all been premade. Felt like a casual counter service place rather than an actual restaurant. The steak tacos and brisket tacos we ordered were charred/burnt to a crisp. It just felt like they wanted to rush us through the meal so they could seat the next group and it wasn’t pleasant or enjoyable at all. There’s also zero social distancing; the place is packed to capacity. The waiter actually kept taking off his meals every time he would come to talk to us which is exactly the opposite of what he should be doing. We will not be back.
Great atmosphere to go into whether it’s to eat or just to have drinks. The food is delicious!!
Enjoyed it, food was good. The Carnita Fried rice was delicious. Noise level was a little high, but then again I'm pushing 50.
Barrio brunch is always a blast!
Date night w/hubby - great food & ambience! Our server Jay was amazing.
The food was delicious and the cocktails were so fun! We loved our server and overall had a great time celebrating!
Very recommendable!! The food was delicious and the service excellent
Very rude servers
Service was fast and pleasant. Food was flavorful. Cevichè not what we expected nor traditional. More like tacos. Ask for details before ordering and know what to expect. Grilled octopus was our fave!
Barrio has amazing food with an even better ambiance! Came with a large group and all of our requests were accommodated. Will be back for more great food and drinks!
Me and my plus one got bottomless mimosas for our allotted time, and our server only filled our glasses like three times. I asked for extra juice to even out the champagne and our server never gave it to us. . .
Other than that the food was really good.
The food was excellent and tasty. The staff was very helpful and nice. Made awesome recommendations. Made my friends birthday dinner fantastic!
It was amazing. The drinks were fantastic and the DJ was phenomenal
I expected a cozier, more playful vibe given the website pictures. The music and cocktails were great but the way the interior is set up doesn't really create an inviting-socializing atmosphere. Also, the prices are relatively high, although the cocktails were worth it. The nachos? Not so much.
Food and drinks delicious!!!
Great good and arrived late but they held our table. Fantastic resturant.
The Taco Salad is fabulous as well as the enchiladas...but then everything is great here!
The food wasn’t great, especially for the prices. They really need to take the shrimp cocktail they call a ceviche off the menu. Drinks were good. Our server was very nice.
Great experience with friends. Good food and drink quality. Had a great time and highly recommend the place.
Liked the overall vibe and drinks were great !!!!!
Overall we had a good experience at Barrio. The cocktails were delicious and the DJ was playing some really good music. Our waitress was also very sweet. My issues were with the cool temperature of our food when we received it, and the poor condition of the booth connected to our seating area. I will be returning to try Barrio again.
My family was there for Easter brunch and celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Great food, service and ample servings. We will return!
Barrio has nice vibes and good food. The menu is creative and gives an updated spin on classic brunch dishes.
The food isn’t great here which is surprising since it’s owned by the same group as Sienna Tavern. I had a so so margarita and food that looked great but just tasted ok. I feel like their prices are pretty high even for the area.
I’m in Chicago on a trip for two months working. We’ve been to many restaurants in the loop area during this time and have been VERY unsatisfied with the customer service we’ve received. We tried Barrio on a whim one day and were so relieved with the excellent customer service we received. On top of that, the food was absolutely incredible. Highly highly recommend.
Without a doubt the worst service I’ve ever experienced in Chicago. We were waiting 45 minutes for a pitcher of margaritas because the bar was supposedly backed up, however all of the other tables were still getting their drinks. In the middle of taking our food order, the server stopped, went and greeted a colleague, then returned to us. Order was never put in. Eventually, we asked for a different server and they were fantastic. At the end of the meal though, I was taking a picture of my friend across the table (it was their birthday dinner), and a busboy came up from my side and reached in between my arms to grab the plates in front of me. Overall extremely unprofessional staff (sparing our second server). Drinks were overpriced given that they were not strong at all. Could not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We chose Barrio as our dinner location for a girls night out after attending a nearby art exhibit. We arrived much earlier than our 8pm reservation and were able to sit at the bar with the help of the bartender Ian. We ordered a pitcher of the Mango Hibiscus Margaritas which were refreshing and delicious. The staff was able to accommodate our party earlier than expected with a table in a semi private room that was street facing so we were able to people watch while we ate. It was restaurant week so I chose the prefix menu and had the: Shrimp Ceviche, Shrimp Chowder, Chicken Enchiladas and Mini Churros. The food was EXCELLENT! Everything was fresh, full of flavor and delicious. I would recommend Barrio for a great night out.
We enjoyed ourselves... No trouble getting situated and the waitress was very responsive.
It was $100 for 2 mexican style dinners.
1 steak fajita with corn side
guac appetizer
3 tacos. no side.
2 soft drinks.
value was terrible. but a nice place
Great time, however we did notate we were celebrating a birthday and the hostess didn’t mention anything to our server.
Great brunch selection! Highly recommend the blood orange mimosas!
Great food and upbeat atmosphere. Very full, as every seat was filled. Too loud for lunchtime conversation. We had to yell at each other for an hour.
Great service, the skirt steak with eggs was delicious and drinks were spot on!
We went to celebrate my moms birthday. Our waitress didn’t come over for a long time so we just sat there waiting. When she finally came she said she would get waters. She took 10 minutes just for the water then forgot straws and another 10 minutes. Finally, we order drinks and food. First of all, one persons dinner came out with the rest of our drinks so we’re drinking while one person is eating already. Our food didn’t come out until the one person was almost finished. Took forever to get condiments and anything we needed the whole night. Even trying to pay the bill was a task, we had to ask someone to find the waitress.
The food was amazing , My only complaint is that I had to ask for a server after sitting for 10 minutes .
Great service and food. Not disappointed
Food is excellent. I love how they have the extra Covid precautions set up. I look forward to returning.
Everything was wonderful! Thank you for being one of the few restaurants doing actual outdoor seating
The food was amazing. Really pretty place. Great service. We were there for restaurant week and it was so much food, we had to bring home the entree for the next day! It was all delicious too. Great experience. Highly recommend.
