Food was great and our server was fantastic and attentive!
Had a great brunch! Food is always amazing, our server Israel was seriously amazing, he had an amazing personality and created a great environment for us! ❤️
One of my favorite places in the city. Trendy but not too fancy. Compared to most restaurants of this caliber you can get a dinner during prime time a week or so out. For comparable popular restaurants in River North you have book a month or so out to get a 7 p.m. weekend dinner spot. I can almost always get a booth as well.
Only complaint is that they used to have this legendary massive dessert bowl that included all the things, and was themed after favorite sugary cereals like fruity pebbles and cinnamon toast crunch. Last time I went they had discontinued said desert, much to my dismay. In my mind it was one of their signatures.
Steak tacos were the best! Also ask for the margarita tower
I always make sure I get Daniela whenever I come. Very knowledgeable and attentive when need be. Be sure to get the steak fajitas and jalapeño cucumber marg when dining. Highly recommend!
Some interesting original recipes, our server was amazing. Beyond that it is another Mexican place in town, feels like a tourist trap, not worth the extra spend or the drive to Downtown
Great food and service!
Contemporary atmosphere with great food and drinks. We had a larger party and were seated in private booths. Look forward to returning for outdoor dining.
Love the food and margaritas! Will definitely be coming back soon.
smooth and quick service
The food and service were both great.
Barrio is my go to lunch spot. Food is always delicious and service is always great as well.
Our food arrived cold. The server took awhile to check back on the table after our food arrived. When she did I informed her the food arrived cold. My family had eaten most of their food by the time she had check on us and her response was “why didn’t you say something...?” She talked to her manager and informed us the food would be coming off the bill, which we didn’t exactly expect but was appreciated. She again expressed the fact that we should have saved some food to bring back to the kitchen which I honesty thought was rude especially since it was her fault for not checking back on her table. I’m in the service industry so I pick up on the passive behavior. Overall it was not a pleasant experience and the server handled the situation very poorly.
Enjoyed as always. They didn't clear our table between appetizers and when things were finished... so the table seemed a bit cluttered. Our server was helpful and attentive though.
I liked Barrio last time, but not as much this time. I did not like the cheese fondue this time. Overall, it looks a bit overpriced compared to some other better places in the area.
Barrio was PHENOMENAL! Loved loved everything about it. Me and my girls had an amazing time celebrating our friends birthday. 10/10 recommend. Our server Anita was the bomb!!! She’s so cute and welcoming. She made us laugh the whole night.
The volume level from just people talking was high enough, but the completely unnecessary music that was playing turning it into almost a club, was completely avoidable. It was all but impossible to have a conversation over dinner. Not to mention that the food is over priced and uninspired. For a prime location in River North either do better or get out.
This was our first time at this restaurant.
We enjoyed the experience, overall.
We ordered 2 drinks and nachos and steak fajitas (we added shrimp to the fajitas)
As the waitress realized that is all we would be ordering, her attitude and demeanor changed.
She actually became unpleasant.
Based on this, I’m not sure i would return.
We were so disappointed, we went elsewhere for coffee and desert.
Our bill at the other restaurant was close to $40.
If the server is not nice...you lose.
Food came extremely fast.. waiter seemed a little sleepy but other than that, great experience.
Dj bliss was fire
Surprisingly pleased. Was not expecting much. Was very solid for River North which has a tendency to rely on location and ambiance over food quality.
I place and service were fine the food was equal to fast food.
Very tasty. Had both reg margarita and cucumber haleoeno. Perfect. Had pomegranate guacamole- very good and fresh. Lobster quesadillas very good!!! Shared steak fajitas- excellent. Banana pudding was good. Overall really nice atmosphere and great service- except valet which is shared with another restraint so we had to wait to get in and out and at 18 dollars should have own valet. Good overall.
Food was meh
Food was great including the bottomless mimosas. Steak tacos are pretty good. As is the pork fried rice. The right amount of sweetness to that dish. The service was terrible. She seemed clueless. Got the wrong side and she didnt apologize for being served the wrong item.
Great place overall, the drinks and food were amazing and the DJ knows how to keep up the good music!
The food was delicious and the service was great. Definitely a fun spot for a nice dinner or some kind of celebration.
So fun, the food was amazing and so was the service. One of our appetizers was going to take longer than expected and we were offered 2 free ones in its place. Our waiter Cortez was also awesome at providing knowledgeable recommendations and was attentive but not annoying. Will definitely be back for the atmosphere and the octopus!
Great food and atmosphere. Waitress was a little rude and didn’t seem to know much of what she was talking about.
Amazing food. Service was slow, but it was National Margarita Day and it was very crowded.
The corn bread didn’t disappoint. But the enchiladas left little to be desired. Very bland. Churros for dessert were good.
The waiter placed the wrong order for plate and we had to wait for it, it took awhile before we received the correct dish
Great experience! Food was fresh and delicious and service was top-notch. I travel to Chicago every year for work, and this will continue to be one of our go-to's for dinner.
Husbands 50th birthday lunch was perfect!!
Great food didn’t have drinks but had the fajitas and were excellent. Also the fish of the day was very good. We also had the guacamole and the queso dip for an appetizer. Would highly recommend trying and will definitely go back
I loved the place, great atmosphere, food and drinks. We all like it so much we will be going back very soon.
Barrio was absolutely lovely!! The service was the fastest I’ve ever experienced and the atmosphere is perfect for a night out. I loved the food and the menu is really unique! Loved it!
I loved it here. Super pricy but that’s downtown vibes. Food was good! Nun super special but it was decent!
Birthday brunch. Delicious food. Loved that I could get a half portion of the French toast-it melted in my mouth! The server was amazing. It was a tad loud in the restaurant which made it hard to hear each other speak. Beautifully decorated. Looking forward to going back.
