   Service was attentive, kitchen seems unorganized, 3 item ordered for brunch for 2 people, 1 item came 10 minutes later received second item 5 minutes more to get the 3rd item. 1 hour between ordering and getting all our food. The food is good but the kitchen needs to get its act together

   Was looking forward to a nice Italian style meal but was Sévery disappointed. Staff was friendly but not quite knowledgeable. The place has nice decor, but it was rather empty for a Saturday evening. I took the Piccata but the angel hair pasta served with it was just bland. I still went for the tiramisu but it had the freezer not too long ago.

   I wrote the following review when we were in town for the Jazz fest. When we got home to Canada, I very shortly thereafter got a call from the restaurant owner who apologized that we didn't have a great experience ( I told her it wasn't a bad experience..just not stellar!) She was very professional and kind and adamant that when we come back to New Orleans we give her place another chance. After her phone call, We absolutely will. When a business owner cares that much and goes to such great lengths so have you back, they've earned another chance in our books. The reviews we had read that entices us to go there in the first place were great so we must have just caught them on an off night during a crazy busy week. Thanks to Brittany we will be repeat customers No ambiance. VERY Brightly lit. Felt/looked like a former wedding event space. Server very friendly/nice but so slow...we waited at least half hour for drinks. After asking him about the chef making her something vegetarian, my daughter ended up ordering something straight off the menu. About 20 minutes later the server came back and said it would be better if she got something made special and NOT the menu item so she agreed, easy peasy. When food came, they brought the item off the menu! And My other daughter got half of what she'd ordered and the other "specially made" vegetarian items. Very disorganized. Food was mediocre at best. Absolute best thing about this place was the Singer, Miss Vanessa Carr, who came to chat with us at our table and was the highlight of the evening. With all the great places in New Orleans, this was mediocre.

   I think we may have found a new favorite restaurant! What a gem of a restaurant with super friendly staff, quick service and the BEST Italian food we've eaten in the area! My husband and I are semi local, we live a couple of hours away but work in New Orleans. We decided on Barilleaux's for a Saturday night date and we were fantastically impressed - from the delicious Strawberry Basil Martini's to the melt in your mouth Chocolate Mousse Cake. Do yourself and give this lovely place a try the next time you're in NOLA!

    My husband and I waited 30 minutes to not even be served water at our table. We informed the hostess that we had not seen our waitress/waiter. She assured us that someone would be coming to our table soon. A few minutes later someone from the bar came over and verbally assaulted us for absolutely no reason besides, that they were drunk. If I could tell you how horrible of experience this was in words I would, but I’m sure it would not do the justice of what we experienced. Do not recommend-especially if you are from out of town!

I also want to apologize for the situation with the guest from the bar. We immediately removed them and they are not to return. This is not behavior we want for any of our guests and is 100% unacceptable. As a family owned restaurant we want nothing more than our guests to feel as such.     We were seated promptly and drink order was delivered quickly. We could tell they were filling up fast so we put our orders in right away before the kitchen got slammed. Our food was very good and timed correctly. Our server was good but quickly became overwhelmed with all the customers he was serving. Live music was a nice touch. Glad we ordered quickly and thus had a nice evening.

    We were immediately seated however it took awhile to even have the water fill. Then took forever to get our bottle of wine and the salad was finally served 45 minutes after the order was placed. The staffed all seemed to be running around but not really getting anything accomplished. The large group (8 people) sitting across from us asked for more wine and drinks multiple times and finally had to get the wine bottles out of the cooler themselves. Another couple walked in sitting right beside us, same routine, immediately seated with no water and now explanation of when their server would be there. After sometime we of them trying to get the attention from anyone we finally flagged down staff and explained that they had been seated for awhile and not been attended to. The salad was decent however the chicken piccata was far to be desired, bland with no sauce at all. There were two guys playing music that evening and seemed really into the music however for such a small place it was way to loud and sounded more like pounding on the keyboard and not actually playing anything structured. I read reviews prior to going and knew if would be a gamble however after my experience I would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s a shame, the building is cute and has real potential however someone needs to come in and get the staff on the same page.

    My friends and I went here for drag brunch while visiting New Orleans, and it was the highlight of our trip! The show, food and staff were amazing! It was hands down one of the best drag brunches ive ever been too! I cannot wait to go back!

    We dine out 2 time a week. By for most very bad experience for not been busy at all. Cocktails are horrible and mediocre food. Staff wasn't attentive at all. Had to ask for water refill multiple time.

    We were promptly seated but were not given menus. We also were seated right by the front door on a cold, rainy night despite multiple other tables being available. It took our waiter a long time to come to the table and didn’t offer us any beverages. I had to ask. He was unfamiliar with what bourbons were available for my dates old fashioned, he always served me first instead of my date, never told us any specials or the fish of the day. Prompted us to order our food prior to even getting a drink order. Didn’t ask if we had any questions. As far as the food, it was all under seasoned. I mean lacked salt and pepper, the basics. Pomme Frites needed salt, tuna lacked any flavor, chicken piccata was fair. I got it topped with crab meat (for $15 extra to a $21 entree) but the crab did not seem fresh or taste very good. My date said her food was very mediocre and was disappointed with the service after I asked her enough questions. I chose to dine at Barilleauxs for a first date and felt embarrassed with the poor service and mediocre food. I will not be back and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone in the future.

He is fairly new but should have come to ask regarding to the bourbon selection because actually have a decent selection. Our carb comes in fresh every Thursday so I will have chef look into it. We don't run a daily off menu special. I'm sorry if he didn't relay that or what the fish was on Friday. I will certainly do some retaining with him and I do hope you will give us another chance I would love to make it up to you.

    The ambiance is nice, open and airy. Our waiter was very nice and gave menu suggestions. We purchased wine from the in restaurant fridge and appreciated the selection of types and price points. The roasted brussels sprouts were outstanding, as were the shrimp and grits and chicken piccata.
