   Multiple times the steaks ordered were cooked to the wrong temperature. Main courses were still not brought at timely.

   Great Easter experience! The Buffett was very good! Hostess was pleasant. Waitress didn’t wait on us for a drink for 10 minutes

   Servers and everyone inside did a great for us. Very annoyed that they didn’t let us in at the front because we were missing 2 people in our group that were coming behind. Restaurant was almost empty and they were giving tables to people that were showing up without reservation. Didn’t make any sense. We wanted to get some drinks in our table while we wait for the other 2 people in the group. Will never make reservation there again…. Everything else inside was good. Thanks

   Terrible food. Terrible service. Went here for our anniversary and was super rushed. For an upscale dining experiance the wait staff lacked any sort of upscale ambiance training. Our food was terrible, mashed potatoes are instant if anyone wants to try them. For a side that costs $8 I would not want something that can be purchased for $1.50 at the dollar general. Now to the anniversary part, it was on our reservation, server knew, and when the end of the meal came she came, she boxed our leftovers at the table, then proceeded to pick up and clear every dish in one pass, all of them! Then Brought us the check, no recognition of the anniversary. We will never be back. Night ruined. Lesson learned I suppose. If you want fine dining go to Midland or someplace else but don’t go here if you are celebrating something special!

   Busy Saturday night at Barrel and Derrick. Very slow service as our waiter was doing double duty as a bartender as well. Four of the six entrees were served together. The fifth entree (steak salad) came out after another five minutes. The sixth dish came out when everyone else had finished their meals. We repeatedly had to send another server to fetch our waiter as drinks weren’t refilled and food came out slowly. Food was good and nicely presented. The restaurant has a nice vibe. The bar area was quite busy. A live saxophone player was a nice touch.

   We went based on close proximity to where we were staying, and the menu pictures seemed indicative of exceptional dining. The cocktails and ambiance were elevated for the Odessa era. You'll even spot some original (very large) Jon Flamings on the lobby walls. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food plating and presentation was on point as well. We ordered the Bacon wrapped quail in a BBQ sauce with an interesting mustard based coleslaw, Beef short rib over the potatoes, a fine burrata salad, and a 'Where's-the-lava Lava cake'. The aforementioned dessert was a disappointment. It was slightly moist on the drier side. If there was once liquid molten chocolate lava, it retired and recessed elsewhere before arriving on our table. We do like chocolate, so we ate most of it despite showing our waitress/bartender the issue. We were not comped. But my port glass was about an 8 ounce pour. Worth it? Meh. Oh, and the fried milk was interesting--a sort-of soft custard with a churro shell. Both desserts came with edible gold atop. We will try this spot again--most likely for breakfast/brunch next go-round. But folks, bring back the lava.

   Good experience overall. The service was great but the back room we were in was cold, plus lighting was bad. Food wasn't bad but my wife's chicken was dry.

    My Tall City draft beer was sour upon arrival so i sent it back. The beer was still on my ticket alkng with an overcharge for an additional beer. I had to ask the wait staff to remove it and then a second time gor the additionally charged beer that wasnt ordered or delivered. First time eating was here not great but i will give them another shot.
