Inspired by its namesake, Barranco’s menu offers seafood, family-style tapas and a select number of main dishes. In addition to a ceviche bar, Barranco’s menu features bocaditos (small bites) such as Scallops Carlitos and Langostinos Crocantes (prawns), grilled anticuchos (meat skewers), pollo a la brasa (traditional Peruvian rotisserie chicken), classic Peruvian sandwiches, an assortment of delectable sides and, for dessert, Alfajores, the popular Latin-American artisanal cookies.
Barranco’s beverage program features pisco, the traditional spirit of Peru.

The meal was great! We had light appetizers and drinks and the service was great!
Good ambience, Great food. The seafood Paella was the best I have had, The fries were terrific and the ribs were also excellent. Perfect experience
Three of us had a lovely evening. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We will be happy to return.
Loved this place a nice outdoor dinner! All the food was amazing and even made my pregnant friend a yummy mocktail!
Food was very good, although a little on the high side. Expect about $40pp (adults). Besides the food, the atmosphere was good; however, we sat inside (we were the only patrons inside) and the music was cranked up so loud, that we couldn’t even hold a normal conversation without shouting. We even asked them to turn down the music, and they did a little, but it was still very loud. I measured it on my iPhone and after they turned it down, it measured 58 db. Way too loud for a normal table side conversation.
Dishes were well constructed and flavorful. It is good to try a variety with friends. We had about 7 dishes (tapas).
Food was fantastic. Ambiance family-friendly and energetic. Seats--horrible! I understand that restaurants want to turn tables as fast as possible and having cushions on chairs is counter to that but, c'mon, if you're spending $300 for 3 people you should have a comfortable seat.
Excellent variety of small plates and peruvian dishes.
The entree we got was fabulous. We also got a number of tapas that ranged from great to OK. However the order in which they brought everything was weird. They unfortunately brought the worst tapa last and the entree which we thought was the best - pork shoulder as the second dish.
Server forgot to fire our order so we waited 1hr before we received our meal. It was a major disappointment. It was my mother’s 70th birthday and it wasn’t even acknowledged.
As always the food was excellent.
This is the 2nd time we have been there this month. The food isn't cheap but it is better than other Peruvian restaurants that we have tried. I expect us to go back several times a year.
It was another fantastic lunch at Barranco. Since we began eating there we make a point to try something different each time and have never been disappointed. Our goal is to do the entire menu.
The food was great. There was some issue with the kitchen as one half the table got food timely the other half waited over 30 minutes later. The late food and beverage was comped which was appreciated as recognition of the unreasonable delay. I hope this news an anomaly as this was my first time dining but it does create a question.
Recommend the Ceviche! Good for a date night or special occasion.
The food and cocktails were good, but the fast casual ambiance and the high prices lowered the overall value of the experience.
Way overpriced for the quality of the food. Nothing special.
Excellent food and wonderful service!
Really delicious food - thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we ordered - the live music was fantastic.
The usual great food and atmosphere. Special Mother’s Day dinner and special bring entertained by the guitarist, Rolando. However, the worst service I have experienced there ever. It took over 30 minutes before the waiter arrived and only after I stopped the hostess to ask about taking our order. We had to also had to ask for chips at the table and they kept bringing us other table’s orders.
Wonderful place for dinner. The Peruvian food was amazing and really enjoyed the live music.
The food was very good and different and I loved the cookies.
Lovely outdoor setting, wonderful food, terrific service
The food was amazing, and our server was spectacular, making sure we were doing well with our meal. Overall great food and great service!! A must go to.
I would recommend that Barranco invest in outdoor heaters on the sidewalk level. It is too cold in this area in the evening to enjoy outdoor dining without one
Great lunch. everything we ate was prepared with the freshest ingredients and tasted wonderful. I'll try dinner next time.
The food was great especially the ceviche de pescado. I love any place that serves Mezcal craft cocktails but the Huracán was out of this world delicious! Definitely coming back.
My family and I went to Barranco for the first time this weekend and absolutely loved our experience. The food and patio dining are fantastic. We will definitely return for another meal soon.
Out for Brunch for the first time in a year with my friends and this was an outstanding choice! Had never been and it was wonderful. I've had Peruvian food...in Peru...but this was the first time I've had it in the US. One of our group is south american and she was thrilled with how authentic the sauces were;
There were four of us and we sampled Tapas. Pretty much the perfect way to get to sample lots of yummy things. Had the Quinoa crusted Langostine, server quickly asked if we wanted to add a shrimp since the plate is three and there were four of us. Very on top of things. Also the Papas...very tasty, Chicken Empanada...out of this world delicious...and the Fried Yucca Balls...amazing flavor and delicate crispy texture.
Food was outstanding, patio was delightful and the singer was a nice touch. Not so loud we couldn't talk but a very nice backdrop. Looking forward to next time...want to try their Paella
Delicious and unique flavors; live music was wonderful
Our first real night "out" to dinner in over a year (thanks, covid). We had a wonderful evening - the food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Thank you, Grover!! We'll be back soon.
I specifically asked for no cilantro. I even booked through OpenTable where I have allergic to cilantro on my profile.
There was cilantro in my food.
Nothing is worth that. Everyone else enjoyed their meals.
We were seated on the sidewalk, hard to get our waiter’s attention
Interesting, tasty food. Very fresh and well prepared.
Try something new. The wait staff is great at describing what might be your new favorite dish.
We were comfortably seated at a table for four on an outdoor patio. Other diners were seated at a comfortable distance from us, consistent with health guidelines. Our waiter was pleasant, attentive, and well informed about the menu. We ordered the empanada sampler, consisting of 4 crisp, delicious pastries filled with beef, chicken, or mushrooms. They were delicious and filling. We washed them down with a pint of beer. Also delicious. While not cheap, we thought that the prices were fair, given the quality of the food and ambiance. We’ll be back.
Outstanding personal service: Our waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable, agreeable and patient with our many questions about the menu.
Needs improvement: The food was delicious but overpriced and slow coming out of the kitchen. The dining room was moderately noisy from voices and music. We asked to have the music turned down which was done.
We got seated outdoor quickly and the wait staff was pretty good, but the kitchen was slow and the food wasn't as good as I remember. Maybe they just had a bad day. The full taster of empanadas was very good though.
Great musician and delicious food - but much more expensive than I recalled.
Food was excellent and loved the alfajores cookies.
We had a wonderful experience at Barranco earlier this week. Our family has been very covid cautious, so this was our first time dining out in about a year. But since Grandma is now fully vaccinated, we decided to celebrate at Barranco. Grandma is a complete foodie snob and she raved... so there you go! We got the Empanada sampler, yucca fries, mixto cebiche, baby octopus tapas and chicken skewers. Everything was delicious. My favorite were the mushroom empanadas and the baby octopus dish... which were amazingly tender with a perfectly umami - ish flavor. My picky 10 year old daughter devoured the yucca fries and loved the corn empanada. For dessert, we tried the panna cotta, which had a tropical, coconutty flavor, served with fresh mixed berries. Service was not perfect, as we had to flag down our server a few times, but nothing too bad. We'll be back!
Food was mediocre! Price outrageous! Not coming back.
