Food is so good, and their service is always great
Prepare to feel like you’re an annoyance to them if you schedule a 7:45 pm reservation. Hard to imagine why they allow 7:45 pm reservations if their bar and kitchen closes at 8 pm.
Great food, excellent service. The duck is very good.
Just not very good especially for the price. I would just head to Panda Express and save a few hundred bucks.
The food was tasteless, though, the service was good, so was the ambience
Food still very good but on this visit the service left a lot to be desired.
Waitperson finally visits our table long after we had been seated, and one of us asked for an Empress martini. The waitperson asked if it was on the menu - it clearly is, it’s on the drink specials menu. We also ordered an appetizer. More than a few minutes later, the appetizer is delivered but put on the table in a location not easily accessible. No drinks. Finally, after many more minutes we stop the waitperson and ask about our drinks. She says they’re coming soon. Many more minutes pass and finally the bartender arrived with two martinis, neither of which is the Empress. When queried, he says he just ran out of Empress Gin. Question, if he just ran out, why didn’t he or someone ask us what we wanted as a substitute? More minutes and the waitperson finally asks us what else we would like. It went better after that but not a very good start.
The restaurant had very few customers but service was extremely slow.
Great server and seated right away. The price point is way high for the amount of food. Greater than 110 per person with one person not drinking.
Chili chicken wings were premade and tasted old. Kung pao chicken was okay. Black pepper “wagyu” was tasteless. For the price, the food was very disappointing. Otherwise it’s okay.
Server was nice though.
In past visits, the restaurant requires you to order Peking Duck hours in advance of your reservation (or at the time you make the reservation). We had not done that, so when we sat down, we asked the server if it was possible to order Peking Duck. She assured us it was, and we tried to ask if there would be a long delay, and she seemed to indicate there would not be a delay. She went away to place our Peking Duck order. She came back, and we ordered two vegetable dishes. They came in 5-10 minutes, and we enjoyed those. But then we had a 45 minute wait for our Peking Duck. Did they forget about our order? Or was there always going to be a 1+ hour wait? At best, poor communication skills from the waitstaff.
Overall, a nice meal however I did find it to be a bit overpriced when compared to other restaurants that serve similar cuisine.
We enjoyed the Peaking Duck which there are famous for along with the wagu bell pepper beef. Both were excellent. I enjoyed the family style approach and we were able to enjoy other side dishes. What was absolutely the best I have ever had was their Hot and Sour soup. The place is pricy but enjoyable.
Peking Duck is terrific. But so is everything else. Love the passion fruit prawns, Mapo Tofu, Crispy Eggplant Cakes.
Dim Sum is superb and nice service
The food value versus the price is terrible. It does not worthy the pay.
Waiter forget to put my order in, and the place was only at 25% capacity.
I went to have dinner with my boyfriend.
Food is extremely over priced for average Chinese dishes...beef broccoli for like $24??? You can eat at peony kitchen nearby and have the ambiance, better food and much less expensive.
Arthur was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed the evening!
Great food and service. Arthur, our host was very courteous, funny and prefessional!
Highly recommend this place.
The food was great, we've had the Peking duck which was pretty good. I still like the Wild Ginger duck a bit better than this one, but different style of cooking.
A bit pricey but overall we enjoyed the very nice service, very clean place, high quality food - I do recommend it.
Quality of the food is low but the price is high
Awesome food, attentive staff, great place to eat!!!
The best Peking duck and pancakes in town !!!
Our usual dining place every week.
Spectacular duck. Great wine prices. Loved the Chinese donuts. Kimchi is unique, memorable, and would like to see more focus on it. Service provided by Arthur was 10/10 attentive professionalism and expert recommendations. We will be back soon thanks to the quality of food and service.
Food was tasty but expensive for what we got
It's the first time to re-visit the restaurant during the Pandemic. The food is the same excellent as before. It's really a pity that only 2-3 tales were seated in such a good restaurant.
Great spot to grab a drink and appetizers at the bar/lounge area. Friendly and efficient bar staff, and an excellent kitchen. We do drinks and appetizers there, and then take food away from a meal at home.
Great food and perfect service. I highly recommend
Great experience and great food, wonderful service
First, the good thing. The service was very, very good, in spite of no temperatures being taken as promised in their COVID-19 policies. Those policies are not being followed. However, that is where it ends. I normally won't write negative reviews, but the food was simply to a level that people need to be warned. The "appetizer" was candied canned lotus root. The "sweet and sour" thing tasted like someone had gone to Safeway and bought American sweet and sour sauce and dumped it on some random seafood mix with veggies. The black cod was deep fried in oil that was old and on the verge of being off with some black bean sauce (from a jar) glopped on top.
This is NOT CHINESE FOOD of any kind. I've lived in Taiwan and have eaten at Chinese restaurants ranging from world-class to street food for 30 years. This is an American restaurant serving what they think is Chinese food.
The food I was served would have been three-stars in a restaurant where the four dishes and three drinks were $50.00 total, not the $180 (including tip, as I said, the service was excellent and the quality of the food was NOT the waiter's fault).
Food was very good - shrimp pancakes - great; pork spareribs, too! Our waiter, Arthur, was outstanding.
Overall quality suffered, not as good as before
The dishes are so salty today, but luckily the manager asked chefs to redo.
The food quality and taste is lower than the price, so it's not a good value in my own opinion.
The service was atrocious and the food tasted like leftover Chinese take-out someone reheated in a microwave.
We had reservations for Mon. at 7pm. The waitress was eager to take our order yet she forgot our beer because we had to ask where it was. We went there specifically for the Peking Duck and they didn't have any. They said they ran out. When we ordered the chicken, she had to check to make sure they had chicken. The price is not worth the small servings. It's pretty dark in the restaurant too, my father in law had a difficult time reading the menu.
Amazing place, authentic, traditional. Food quality is excellent and their Pekin Style Duck is simply the best in Seattle.
It was so good! Best food I’ve had so far in Seattle! Expensive, but save up! It’s worth it!!
Terrible food during happy hour
