Good overall experience. Peking Duck was excellent, and very filling for two people. The seasonal veggie we ordered were pea shoots, which I've never had before and and they were amazing sauteed in a bit of sesame oil (I think) and some light garlic, as was the pickled cucumber salad. The only item that was below expectations was the Kumquat Ribs, which had amazing flavor but were kind of tough and did not come off the bone easily (making them a messy appetizer unless you as for a knife!). Drinks were a bit slow getting delivered too, but other than that everything was excellent. Next time we'll skip the ribs and save room for the dessert buns everyone raves about.
The Best Peking Duck we ever tried. We also enjoyed Shrimp Curry and noodles. Thank you!
Roasted duck was good! Would recommend going on Monday when they have the deal, otherwise it is way too expensive. Overall food is very pricey and the portion sizes are not the best either. Service was good. Make sure to ask for the box of bones after, there is a decent amount of meat in it.
I dined in for Yum Cha menu with my beloved and has been really disappointed by the service. I literally waived my hand for a few minutes and multiple waiters only made eye contact with me but not coming over. Only when the waiter who served us at the beginning, who actually worked over the bar counter area, came over to me later.
Food except the roast duck is good.
Spent: $192 for 2 guests.
Only tip $10 to make it $202.
At least coach your other waiters not to ignore your customer such that your customer doesn't need to wait for the one waiter coming over from the bar counter.
Definitely won't recommend anyone bringing your beloved over and run yourself such embarrassment.
Fantastic, authentic food. Inside decor was a bit sparse and worse.
Birthday lunch for husband and he ordered Peking duck. Husband loved it and said best he’s had outside of China. Also ordered fried rice and sautéed green beans — both delicious. Only comment is that for the cost - $135 for lunch for two - the staff needs training. Not professional for the atmosphere here which is very nice decor. The kitchen is open and the kitchen staff could be heard kidding around and talking very loud. Will return and hopefully training will have happened by then.
I ate lunch at 11:30a on Sunday with my two friends. The Brunch menu is quite limited compared with the dinner menu, but still has many excellent choices. I had ordered the Peking Duck ahead of time (they request at least an hour's notice), and we also enjoyed the Kumquat Ribs, Passion Fruit Prawns, and Shanghainess Smoked Mackerel. That was plenty of food for the three of us! The service has improved greatly since the restaurant opened almost four years ago!
This was a great place to celebrate Chinese Valentines Day. We enjoyed the Peking Duck. The Service was prompt and friendly.
Amazing food and service. Kid friendly as well.
The food was delicious, and our waiter was very considerate.
We had to catch a movie and was in a bit of a time crunch, he had our bills ready ahead and we were able to pay right after we are done eating.
My only issue is the restaurant is really dark, in a odd way.
The reviews are up and down, but our meal was outstanding as was our service. We went on Monday Night for the Peking Duck special. The duck was so delicious. Skin done perfectly crisp and the meat perfectly moist. Also had the Braised Egg Tofu with Assorted Seafood, this dish was just incredible and well as having Vegetables. If you get the chance this is a great place for an elevated Chinese dinner.
The Peking Duck is outstanding.
We were party of four to have a brunch there. There were two plate with food stains. The portion was not big and the value to price was low.
We went for dim sum on Sunday. The food was terrible. We had shrimp dumplings and the shrimp was over cooked and hard. We also ordered roast pork, which was cold and very salty. Last, we ordered spareribs. The were inedible-boiled, grisly and tough. The waitress was very nice and deserves a lot of credit. My advice is do not go to Baron‘s!
heard it was the best chinese food in puget sound...not even close
only recommend perking duck and black gold bun. rest are too salty. they have a lot of waiter but the speed to serve the dishes is slow.
Great food great service
One of the best Peking Ducks I have had in this country
Duck skin was crispy and meat was juicy. Pancake is thin in a traditional way to enjoy duck. The service was great too. Monday deal is a great opportunity to try duck!
Always outstanding food! Has lot a little of the ambience given the pandemic and fewer people, more space but highly recommended.
We loved the duck
Wonderful service and equally wonderful food! Definitely try the stuffed Chinese donuts! Absolutely delicious!!
Good food. Good service. Slightly high prices but this is Bellevue.... I'd go back again.
Good environment, quality of food is very disappointing for those with trained tastes
Food was great, servers were attentive. Gave a very generous tip.
Not worth it except the duck
Peking duck is amazing, most everything else is pretty good
They were ignoring us most of our 2.5 hrs there, had to look for the waitress for mostly everything we needed. We wished we went somewhere else since we were out of town and our anniversary, taking into account that there were so many other better places all around
Outdoor dining is right on the street which is super noisy. Food is great tho
Everything was great
Service is excellent. Peking duck is delicious.
We were sat right away and served water but weren’t acknowledged at all for at least 10-12 minutes. We were tempted to go somewhere else because we were hungry! We were celebrating our anniversary, It didn’t feel like it mattered to them. Staff was fine, weren’t really personable. We felt like they just wanted the table. We were still eating, one of the food runners asked if we wanted dessert 5 minutes after we got our second plate of food and when we said no she said okay I’ll bring the check. There weren’t even people waiting outside. The overall experience was okay.
Service is great, food portion is a bit small, atmosphere is quite nice, good for friends get together and long chat, but might not be a good fit for general family dinner. Overall is good thou.
Went to Baron's for my friend's birthday. The service was good, food was good and we were seated in a timely manner. Overall a good expereince.
Delicious food, friendly staff, great service and soothing atmosphere. Though not as many Dim Sum selections as restaurants in, say, Chinatown, the whole dining experience was very enjoyable.
I made a 730 reservation but was not aware they had different covid hours then before and nobody not even our very nice server Arthur mentioned anything; so when the dishes started to come in a hurry (before the wine) I asked them to stop for a bit as we didn’t even get a chance to pounce on the Peking duck 🤣 that’s when they said kitchen is closing, no delaying 🤦🏻♀️
I don’t know who this should lie on - opentable or the restaurant or both but I’d expect open table to at least make me aware of my reservation at closing (!) n I suppose I should take some bloody responsibility… 🙂
All in all we had a wonderful time! Food was good and will definitely come back soon!
A few things not available on the menu, ordered, waiter came back that other things we ordered were not available. Service was slow.
Underwhelming. Food was okay. Service was okay. Not worth it to us to return.
