Top notch Chinoise food. Spendy, but worth it. Always consistent, great service, great drinks, Chinese doesn’t get any better in the USA. I’ve only had this good in Hong Kong! RS
Had the wagyu Mongolian beef. If it was really wagyu then it was the worst piece of wagyu ever. The beef was chewy and difficult to eat. Plus the pieces were cut way too big. The black cod had to be sent back due to not tasting good. In short, this place is waaaaaaaaaaaay over priced and the food is sub par.
It is Thanksgiving that we went there for Peking Duck. It was well prepared indeed.
We loved everything about Baron’s! The food was amazing! Best Chinese food we’ve had in Seattle! The service was great. The staff super friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back soon!
We had a family dinner here last night and the entire experience was disappointing. The bartender seemed new and a little unfamiliar on how to make cocktails and then we moved to the large and elegant dining room. This restaurant is huge, but nicely appointed and easy to converse.
Service was slow and unprofessional. The waitress was either new or just didn't care. Maybe the restaurant is short staffed, like so many other businesses right now?
We had preordered the duck, and it came out about 20 minutes after everything else.
The menu is limited and the food was mediocre.
We will not be going back.
plus: upscale dim sum - a nice restaurant when you want chinese but need a nice experience. minus: very limited selection of dim sum. prices seem double to regular dim sum.
We came here for the dim sum in the morning. Almost nobody here now days. I would say attributable to charging $10 for a kettle of tea, which is only a few tea leaves. Probably one of the things that keeps us from coming back more often, the value is not there
Good overall, waitress took a while…she was too busy.
The ambience is nice but the food was not worth the money. It did not taste authentic and the chicken wings are cut into small pieces and there is barely any meat in the serving. Disappointing to say the least.
Very bad food quality
A regular spot for some Chinese fusion. Good, nothing great.
I am allergic to shrimp and we mentioned that to the waitress before ordering our meals. We took vegetable fried rice and we asked for a to go box. Today, we ate the fried rice and i found a shrimp in my dish. I started to have my throat itchy so i took a medicine so it doesn’t get worse.
Disappointed about for that matter because that could potentially put my life in danger.
I have visited Baron a couple of years ago and i wasn't impressed. This time everything was better. Definitely the food was good. Plus the tables were in a great distance from each other to make you feel safe.
Arthur does a great job! He provides great customer service, he knows his customers. He is clean and organized, checks up on you timely, quick at bringing things you need. He is attentive to detail. He is personable with customers and connects with customers for a better experience.
Receptionist was rude . I had a reservation week ago but was arranged to be seated at the place at corner facing bathrooms and their alcohol inventory while 90% the restaurant was empty .
It was a business meeting but me and my guests had a very small table and uncomfortable chairs while we saw other guests have bigger seat and less people .
Food was delicious but it took forever . Server forgot our orders couple times and keep interrupting and trying to cleaning our dish while we were still talking and trying to finish our meal.
Have been this place many times but just had the worst dinning experience ever . Now I don’t think I will recommend anyone to go and certainly don’t think will go back to this place for a while .
It is too bad I really like the foods but the receptions and service is really sucks
Horrible service. Rude and incompetent waiter. Gave us soup in an incorrect container that spilled all over our car. Not the type of service you expect from a fancy place like this. Didn’t even get us the drinks we ordered. I had to go to the host stand. Never refilled our drinks.
This is the place to go to for peking duck. Baron is a fairly expensive place, but for peking duck, it is worth it. There is nothing that compares in this area. We went for lunch and it was quiet with only a few other patrons. We also enjoyed the green beans. The menu said garlic, but we could barely taste any which was great as we could enjoy the full flavor of the beans. This is a place for business and special occasions. The menu items appeared to be on the spicy side. Mild dishes were difficult to find. If you have clients that love peking duck, this is the place to take them.
Great food and service. We did order a beef dish that had walnuts in it. One in our party was allergic so we sent it back with no issues.
The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning to this fabulous restaurant!
A little too greasy for my taste
Good overall experience. Peking Duck was excellent, and very filling for two people. The seasonal veggie we ordered were pea shoots, which I've never had before and and they were amazing sauteed in a bit of sesame oil (I think) and some light garlic, as was the pickled cucumber salad. The only item that was below expectations was the Kumquat Ribs, which had amazing flavor but were kind of tough and did not come off the bone easily (making them a messy appetizer unless you as for a knife!). Drinks were a bit slow getting delivered too, but other than that everything was excellent. Next time we'll skip the ribs and save room for the dessert buns everyone raves about.
The service was great but the food is expensive than expected. Overall had a good experience.
The Best Peking Duck we ever tried. We also enjoyed Shrimp Curry and noodles. Thank you!
If you are looking for authentic Chinese food in Bellevue, you should go to Baron's. It's a very nice restaurant with a large bar area and 2 private dinning rooms. The food is delicious - Peking duck, Passion fruit prawns, Crispy eggplant cakes, Chili chicken wings, just to name a few. My favorite cocktail is Lychee martini. Artur is a very friendly waiter and Ricky is the manager. We enjoy the food and service every time.
Roasted duck was good! Would recommend going on Monday when they have the deal, otherwise it is way too expensive. Overall food is very pricey and the portion sizes are not the best either. Service was good. Make sure to ask for the box of bones after, there is a decent amount of meat in it.
I dined in for Yum Cha menu with my beloved and has been really disappointed by the service. I literally waived my hand for a few minutes and multiple waiters only made eye contact with me but not coming over. Only when the waiter who served us at the beginning, who actually worked over the bar counter area, came over to me later.
Food except the roast duck is good.
Spent: $192 for 2 guests.
Only tip $10 to make it $202.
At least coach your other waiters not to ignore your customer such that your customer doesn't need to wait for the one waiter coming over from the bar counter.
Definitely won't recommend anyone bringing your beloved over and run yourself such embarrassment.
Fantastic, authentic food. Inside decor was a bit sparse and worse.
Birthday lunch for husband and he ordered Peking duck. Husband loved it and said best he’s had outside of China. Also ordered fried rice and sautéed green beans — both delicious. Only comment is that for the cost - $135 for lunch for two - the staff needs training. Not professional for the atmosphere here which is very nice decor. The kitchen is open and the kitchen staff could be heard kidding around and talking very loud. Will return and hopefully training will have happened by then.
I ate lunch at 11:30a on Sunday with my two friends. The Brunch menu is quite limited compared with the dinner menu, but still has many excellent choices. I had ordered the Peking Duck ahead of time (they request at least an hour's notice), and we also enjoyed the Kumquat Ribs, Passion Fruit Prawns, and Shanghainess Smoked Mackerel. That was plenty of food for the three of us! The service has improved greatly since the restaurant opened almost four years ago!
This was a great place to celebrate Chinese Valentines Day. We enjoyed the Peking Duck. The Service was prompt and friendly.
Amazing food and service. Kid friendly as well.
The food was delicious, and our waiter was very considerate.
We had to catch a movie and was in a bit of a time crunch, he had our bills ready ahead and we were able to pay right after we are done eating.
My only issue is the restaurant is really dark, in a odd way.
The reviews are up and down, but our meal was outstanding as was our service. We went on Monday Night for the Peking Duck special. The duck was so delicious. Skin done perfectly crisp and the meat perfectly moist. Also had the Braised Egg Tofu with Assorted Seafood, this dish was just incredible and well as having Vegetables. If you get the chance this is a great place for an elevated Chinese dinner.
The Peking Duck is outstanding.
We were party of four to have a brunch there. There were two plate with food stains. The portion was not big and the value to price was low.
We went for dim sum on Sunday. The food was terrible. We had shrimp dumplings and the shrimp was over cooked and hard. We also ordered roast pork, which was cold and very salty. Last, we ordered spareribs. The were inedible-boiled, grisly and tough. The waitress was very nice and deserves a lot of credit. My advice is do not go to Baron‘s!
heard it was the best chinese food in puget sound...not even close
