Barolo was nice. Service was efficient and friendly, if not particularly engaging. Food started out fantastic - grilled marinated octopus was delicious and plentiful. I'd go back for the carbonara alone - it was truly awesome. Our second pasta dish of mezzalune and truffle was very nice, but paled against the carbonara! Sadly, the sirloin steak they so kindly split for our entree was, for lack of a better word, mushy. It had clearly been 'jacquarded' with giant needle marks throughout that is an indicator of lower quality meat. Then the texture was as if the steak had been reheated. With a bland sauce and plain, slightly overcooked vegetables, the whole dish was a sore disappointment. I apologize for not having said anything on the evening, but they were busy and I wasn't sure how the waiter would handle the situation. Overall though a solid evening that we thoroughly enjoyed.

We were there for a birthday which has become a tradition. The food was good. We had a little trouble communicating with our server but it was okay.

We had an excellent server but the osso buco was far from excellent. All in all, a nice place but not 5 stars.

Everything was great except for the lobster risotto that was extremely salty. They re-do it for us but wasn’t that good after all.

I ordered Osso bucco and it was phenomenal. My two dining companions enjoyed rigatoni that was out of this world. The calamari appetizer was a great starter. Alessandro delivered impeccable service. All in all a terrific evening and dining experience. It’s clearly five stars.

We visited during Seattle Restaurant week this time and the 3 course menu choices were varied and delicious. Between the four of us, we covered all the choices. This is also one of the best places for Happy Hour in Seattle if you are a foodie!

Really fantastic Italian dishes. Loved the veal carpaccio, great salads, perfect ravs, sea bass portion too small, rack of lamb was plentiful. Biggest issue is noise: happy hour is rambunctious! Excellent wait staff. We'll go again. :)

My friends birthday party and it was disappointing that 5/6 meals were not great. Overpriced and we were stuck in a corner when we originally booked the king table. They let the party who was before our booking start 1.5 hrs late which went over into our reservation. Not sure I will recommend or go back again. All of my friends were not happy with their meal.

The venue was not as intimate as I would have liked for a romantic evening but I would have sat on the curb in that gown for the food they served. I am going to dream about that food for a long time. The bar has been set.

Our 4th visit to Barolo. The food and wait staff(servers, runners and bussers) are wonderful the FOH hostesses are less than friendly. First time? Maybe a fluke...but 4x is def a pattern.

It’s not that they don’t have space, or there is a wait...that’s fine...it’s the delivery of those messages that’s where the problem comes in. Unfriendly, not welcoming at all and down right act annoyed at your presence.

When the first people you interact with leave a bad taste in your mouth, the best food and wine can’t bring it back every time

Barolo's menu is fantastic - changing seasonally, with good variety of modern cuisine, yet still offering some more traditional Italian fare. Our meals were so very good - quality, quantity and lovely presentation. Despite the very busy night we visited, our service was excellent and personal. I bring guests here as I know they will be impressed. I also like the vibe - younger, lively yet upscale. Also, very reasonable valet parking is available right out front, so don't let lack of street parking deter you.

The food was good, the ambience was fine. We were a group of 6 software developers wearing tshirts. The waiter made numerous awkward comments about our attire, which came across as snooty to me.

not a really good experience in terms of seating. We were a party of four and got seated @ a communal table. A 14 people party was also seated on that table. Soon, the party grew to be 19 and invaded us. We had to ask to be moved. No apologies nor excuses. Otherwise, the food is pricy but good. Wine is outrageously expensive

Very nice place, high end.
Great for special occasions
Not every day eating.

Nice spot for good Italian food near downtown. Bar area was jammed and very noisy.

Menu was nice sampling of authentic Italian dishes. Service was very attentive and helpful. Nice selection of wines by the glass.

Only negative was table wasn't ready when promised.

While our experience was great our food was a little disappointing. Even after requesting the wild boar be cooked medium rare, the meat was definitely well done. Additionally the tuna with our tuna caesar was barely seared and had a slight greyish coat instead. The service was outstanding regardless!

The perfect pair. Theatre and dinner at Barolo. We had a spectacular lunch a few months ago and decided to try their dinner menu. What word is better than spectacular? It would be Barolo! Milan was our waitress and she met our needs to perfection. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I’ve been here several times when we travel to Seattle. This time they gave our party of 6 a private dining area. A white curtain separated us from the other tables. Our reservation was for 7:30. By 8:15 the noise level had reduced considerably. We had eaten here previously earlier in the evening. I now understand to reserve a table later in the evening if you want to converse without yelling. I do not like the techno music, but the volume is low enough in the dining room. Good food, wine list, and service.
