The homemade pasta was way too overcooked and the sauce tasted as the Prego jarred tomato sauce. Our starters were lovely although our drinks appeared after they were being served. The service was friendly too but unfortunately the food was well below par.

Mixed reviews…GrilledCaesar was fantastic. Lobster way overcooked. Gnocchi and Carbonara were good. Waitstaff poured flat water into our sparkling water. Surprised by an extra3% fee. Not worth the expense overall.

Joy was a great server, she made some good recommendations for both food and drinks and had a big smile the whole time we were there! Food was great, Joy recommended the truffle and sausage gnocchi when I was on the fence between two meals and it was fantastic, my girlfriend loved her rigatoni bolognese too. Great service, awesome food, we don’t get to go on date nights downtown often but Barolo is always in consideration when we can!

Excellent service. Meal was quite good - I had seafood linguine and my wife had lobster risotto. Will definitely come here again next time we are in Seattle!

Although the food was good I was a little disappointed in this place. They have chosen to charge and additional fee of 3.5 % to each bill to keep the restaurant in decent shape if i am understanding it correctly. But even if that is not the reason it didn't sit well with me or the rest of our table. There are hundreds of restaurants in Seattle and to my knowledge none of them add on this fee. Other than that it was good, but not outstanding.

It's been years since I had dinner at Barolo, and it took me only 5 minutes to remember why. Service! It was bad last time I was at this establishment, and nothing changed. The food is still delicious.

Our server from Brazil was friendly, attentive and just a wonderful person. The restaurant staff found us a table, as I requested, that did not have a lot of foot traffic going by; much appreciated. We have eaten at Barolo for many years. I was introduced to the owners when their prior restaurant was up in what I would call the Magnolia area. I have always enjoyed this restaurant but the sablefish dish was not a big hit with my wife or me. The gnocchi was very good. But the menu just seemed to lack something that inspired curiosity or excitement. I somehow remember the original opening of Barolo as offering more inspired meals. Perhaps it was eating on a Monday night instead of Friday, hmmm. By the way, we did very much like the octopus appetizer, the octopus was cooked perfectly, and it offered a slightly brighter taste than similar dishes at other restaurants.
