Was very noise
Could not hear the person next to you
Ruined our whole night!
Good service level and great food. A bit noisy, but normal for a Friday evening I guess and there was one table with 10 women….
As always superb
Excellent service from Marcin and the hostess. $450 for dinner for four, but worth it.
I've been going to Barolo for several years, but this was my last visit. The atmosphere can be so great, and the food used to be wonderful. But this time the bread served at the table was dry, and the salads (golden beet and artichoke) were salty to the point of almost inedible. I always order the pasta carbonara - and for the second visit in a row, it came to the table after sitting cooling somewhere in the kitchen after it was prepared - the pasta and sauce were starting to congeal. Very disappointing, and at this price, just not worth it. The service was glib; a basic check in and no real desire to see if we were enjoying our meal.
Very nice place. Staff is amazingly friendly and accommodating. My issue was the food. Way too much salt. We had the risotto as a side dish and thought the taste was not good. We just left it alone, but, we then overheard the table next to us send it back. Food is just average and not what it should be for the price.
Great food and service. We will be back
Our family chose Barolo to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The food and service were fantastic and the extra touches for her birthday made it an extra special celebration. The menus came printed Happy Birthday Crystal and they served her a little cake with special effects. Very fun place to celebrate a birthday!
What a wonderful experience we had Friday evening at Barolo. The food was excellent. We were left very comfortably to eat at our leisure. My pal really enjoyed this birthday celebration.
We vacationed in Seattle. Of the five downtown restaurants we tried, Barolo was the best if the group of very fine places. All aspects of the meal, appetizer, main course, drinks/wine, service were of highest quality. We had an excellent, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable waiter. Noise level was too high for our liking, but it had a vibrant and bright ambience. Seattle restaurant pricing is at the top end of most big cities, and Barolo is no exception. Highly recommend.
Looking forward to great food in a great food town. We enjoyed the atmosphere and look
of the place, but found the food to be underwhelming. Neither salads, nor main courses
were as good as we had hoped. Our server was personal and charming.
Barolo has a great energy but the food was boring. Ordered the Sea Bass with sauteed Kale, both lacked flavor. The best part of the meal was the house salad and the focaccia bread. Service was impeccable which makes up for the poor quality of food. I've eaten here before, would recommend sticking with the pasta as to avoid being disappointed.
Came here for my fiancé’s birthday. We had max as our waiter, who was so knowledgeable and kind. Max had suggested their specials which we ordered two plates of. I also had asked max to put a candle on one of the desserts we had ordered and it was absolutely amazing and very special. I would highly recommend this restaurant! Amazing staff, delicious food and great ambiance!
Always a great meal here. Staff is strength to go along with the terrific food. Would recommend highly if you are a foodie
My team did a celebration dinner here because it was close and had great reviews. Those reviews did not lie. What a fabulous experience. Something local and Seattle yet very beautifully made Italian cuisine. Totally going back for their happy hour with the Mrs.
When the waiter calls Eggs Benny an "English Sandwich" and doesn't know what hollandaise sauce is...you have to wonder about going for brunch.
Our anniversary dinner was good but I did not think the food was noteworthy. The ambience was nice. Loved our waiter
Delicious food with great service.
Had spaghetti carbonara and it was amazing. Waiter did not split check correctly
Great Italian cuisine with a hint of american fusion. The ambiance is uplifting and tranquil at the same time, where the white noise blends into harmony. The food was insatiably delicious.
Food and service were incredible! The bumping electronic beats was the only thing we didn’t love.
a little loud, but they had a large group when we were there. Its on my list to revisit, well worth it
A delicious take on fine, Italian dining. The artichoke appetizer, for example, featured fabulously fresh local artichoke, cooked and quartered on a delicate salad bed. Perfect start for the meal. The main plates were well-presented and delicious. The veal was properly pounded thin, and was quite tender. The panettone bread pudding was delicate and a fitting end to a great meal. The wine list is quite good, with an extensive collection of Italian wines, as well as great local and other choices.
Quite frankly one of the best italian food that I had in seattle area. Drink was good too. Definitely would go back.
Good,tasty and well prepared.
Portions too big.
Great wine list
We had an excellent waiter.
Service and food excellent. Has been, and always will be one of Seattle’s best restaurants.
Oh my goodness! We three all ordered the Veal Scallopini with lemon sauce and TRUFFLES (slivers, not just oil)!!! It was amazing! Best bite I have had in a very long time.. perfectly accompanied by a garlicky Kale, which I don't always enjoy, but this was superb. The crispy, creamy Yukon gold slices were just right! Always excellent service and a beautiful jewel of a restaurant....ended with a sparklering (yes!) scrumptious shared Tiramisu.
Wonderful place to celebrate! Outstanding food and service!
Highly suggest the escargot and lamb shank. The gnocchi is amazing and I look forward to the next time we dine here. One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle.
We had made a reservation on "Open Table" for Barolo, but was offered the regular dining menu instead.
It was more than we had expected to pay!
As always we enjoyed an outstanding meal, and service. Our server was particularly outstanding and both professional and entertaining. It was a first date dinner and was the perfect place for the date. I wish the date went as well as the dinner ;-(
Can't wait to return for any occasion
Great food. Waitress was, slow, disinterested, and at the end, was fast to give me the check to flip the table.
Wonderful! Will he returning next time I’m in town!
The food isn’t as good as it used to be and getting very expensive for what you get.
I had not eaten here for several years and was most happy with the choice. Excellent wine list both by the bottle and the glass. Prompt, courteous service, our server checked in frequently and offered suggestions. the gnochi was quite lovely, the sauce did not overwhelm. it was perfect, turning into my go to place.
We were seated and served promptly but the vegetarian choices (especially on the restaurant week menu) were highly disappointing. They might as well have said “Restaurant week not for vegetarians”. I ended up getting a vegetarian risotto which was just OK at best. Not up to the standards the restaurant claims. My husband had the angus steak and was happy with it. So that’s a consolation.
We had excellent food and service. My only complaint about this restaurant that it is so dark that we couldn’t really see our food when we ate it.
Great place for late night happy hour. Portion size, price and food was more than expected along with great service!
Excellent pasta and meat dishes. A very comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.
The meal was fantastic. Wine splendid. Can’t wait to go back.
