Barney's is a restaurant serving elevated American cuisine in a "country style" Inn. Everything about the experience at Barney's is designed to reflect refined dining, from the beautiful plating to the attentive and helpful staff.
Barney's menu is a fusion of new American cuisine and classic French cuisine. All of the produce used in the kitchen is procured from local vendors, The filet mignon has been voted the best on Long Island by local publications. The signature"Famous" Long Island Duck has also become a local favorite. The large selection of seafood along with our fresh seasonal salads and weekly specials will not disappoint.

Our dining areas consist of the Hearth Room (dining room w/fireplace), Bar and Parlour which can also be reserved for private parties. We also offer outdoor dining and a private barn for catering. Anything from small intimate weddings to baby showers and any other special occasions. Barn holds up to 45 and the outdoor patio up to 60.

Took advantage of the prix fixe to try this restaurant. the calamari appetizer was excellent. we got the ribs and the salmon for main. the ribs were only ok 3 ribs, 3 fries and a little plain red cabbage with a sauce all over that was kind of tasteless. the salmon was tasty but came completely different than what was on the menu. the desserts were not good. i wanted to love this restaurant but it fell really short of my expectations.

ordered the filet mignon, it was not great, should have sent it back, but otherwise duck and salad was excellent. sat at the bar, although i specifically called and asked for the 2 at the end of the bar which they said sure but on arrival that had been given to a couple who arrived before us...otherwise we love the bartender he's great and we love this place

On a rainy, gray Sunday morning, we enjoyed brunch in front of a roaring fireplace in the beautiful dining room at Barney’s. The meal was spectacular, the service was impeccable and the experience was delightful. One of our favorite places for dinner and now for brunch too!

we sat at the bar, bartender's wife is gluten free so he totally understood my husband's dietary needs. food was excellent--we had duck and halibut, its so cozy and comfortable there. there was large party behind us so a bit noisy but we've had worse. we will be back.

We absolutely enjoyed our time at Barneys. The service and food were impeccable. It was a little pricey, especially for drinks, so next time I need to check prices before ordering. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

We have not been to Barney's in 20 years after breaking a tooth on hard crusted table bread, but returned giving their prefix menu a chance. The food is overall good; however, the service is not. The service is fine if it were a diner. Water is poured across the table while to bottom of the steel pitcher is too close to plates and guest food. The waiters put the food on the table from where ever the waiter stands. Bread and pepper need to be requested. No follow-up, just drop and go. There is no quaint charm or elegance. We were not looking for old world 5 star service but this fell short. Their drinks were made very well and the dish were all good but not very good. The crispy skin salmon was a failure. The skin was prepared correctly; however, the fish tasted farm raised bland and frankly not enjoyable.

This restaurant is fantastic…never disappointing. Excellent food and ambiance. The new owners are lovely and create a very warm atmosphere! Ask about the 108” belt hanging on the wall!!!!

It was very crowded on weekends and that was expected. But still has a cozy friendly vibe. The waitresses and bartender work their butts off! They are great. I was disappointed in my veal dish—the menu did not mention the veal was completely covered in a bread crumb crust and fried! I was expecting a fresh veal cutlet with melted mozzarella and arugula salad on the plate. I recd a thickly breaded cutlet completely covered with the arugula salad and a few COLD CHUNKS of cheese. Not “bad” dinner. But nothing like it’s description. I was disappointed for $42!

We had a wonderful experience at Barney’s. The valet and wait staff were wonderful, the food was delicious and the ambiance was beyond our expectations. The warm fireplace was very inviting and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. Looking forward to returning soon!

We sat in a nook in the front room, near the bar. It was quiet and cozy. The back room has a fireplace, and can be busy. If you like the ambiance that an old house offers, you will enjoy Barney's. Good food, service with class, understated elegance.

My family had a lovely pre-New Year’s Eve dinner here. My son raved about the paella in particular. The atmosphere is charming and the fireplace is cozy. Our server was efficient and friendly. We used to dine at Crew in Huntington. It is comforting to know that their sister property lives on.

Barney’s Christmas Eve has been a wonderful tradition for 10 years. Always wonderful. This year took over 11/2 to get food and when arrived was inedible. So disappointing Think I need to start a new tradition next year:(
