Barnes & Noble Kitchen - Plano
Favorite place in Legacy West!!
Took some out-of-town relatives to Legacy West area. I've tried most of the restaurants in the area and have all been mediocre. This one seemed to have an interesting menu. I ordered the southern fried chicken which had a lot of batter with very little chicken (too dry). The bean slaw was tasty but the corn bread was overly sweet, dense and full of butter. The rest of the group enjoyed the brisket burger. We went a little later than the normal lunch time and the restaurant was practically empty. They sat us (party of 5) in the corner closest to the kitchen. It was so hot from the kitchen heat and/or lack of air circulation. The service was good but the food took a very long time to come out, even with an empty restaurant.
We were a bit disappointed. It was practicaly empty for Mother's Day. Our server was not especially present. Our appetizers came out after our entrees. The kid's food was presented on cast iron skillets that were burning hot and hurt my daughter, not terribly, but still... They were out of several wines, and served no liquor. My chicken was over cooked (And it was recommended by server). At least my kids enjoyed running back to the children's book section while we had some adult time.... I wish this place the best. It's a great idea for a restaurant and has huge potential....
I took my mom to B&N Kitchen for mother's day and as always the food was amazing! The food was fresh and delicious, the wait staff courteousand efficient!
It wasn’t very crowded, but we had to wait quite awhile for our food. The coffee was great so we didn’t mind the delay. We didn’t select the Mother’s Day brunch and ordered off the menu. For the price, the food was just not that good. My avocado toast with scrambled eggs was lukewarm and not very tasty. The waitress said it was a favorite - hmm!
I had dinner there once and it was good, but I won’t be going back for brunch.
Food and ambience were great although I found it a bit pricey with a limited menu.
Brunch at Barnes and Noble Legacy West was fabulous! The food was fantastic, service incredible. There will be a next time!
Definitely a new favorite. Everyone at the table was impressed with the quality of lunch and the size of the portions. Barnes and Noble Kitchen is a cool concept; lunch was delicious and comforting, and there were some elegant dinner options for date night; and the atmosphere is professional. I drove 40 minutes from Irving to have lunch with friends, and I will definitely be coming back.
Loved the food and the service was amazing. I really enjoyed the free dessert for my birthday.
Excellent place, great fresh food. One of my favorite. You can actually talk and enjoy your friends with very good menu.
Food is unexpectedly incredible. Creative and delicious for casual dining.
We went to check this new place and we're pleasantly surprised by the food choices. It was great, service was friendly. Fun place to come with friends, kids or dates. I think we will be frequent guests there.
The server was friendly and some of the food was good. They left chicken off of a chicken Caesar salad so they had to fetch that after the fact. Two of the entrees, the poblano mashers that came with them were cold and had to be reheated. Ultimately, they adjusted the bill due to these issues - but even so the meal wasn't cheap which I attribute to higher than average prices. Still, it was okay apart from the errors. A trendy and fun concept.
