V good, service was excellent. I only rated lower for ambience as there weren’t many dining when we visited

Exceptional starter (haddock fish cake topped with a superbly runny poached egg), followed by a distinctly average Sunday dinner (beef was tough but, to be fair, the gravy was awesome). Great value for money on the food, but not so good value on the alcohol: very expensive wine and, for a beer brewed up the road in Newport, £4.80 for a pint of Cwtch is uncalled for.

Food and service excellent, some of the mains portions bit small for men in party especially for the price paid. Good wine and beer selection. Was quite loud but could still hear to talk properly which can be unusual these days!

To be honest it was so quiet when we arrived (only two other people) we almost left. But so glad we did not. Now I guess good service is a give me with only four customers, but the real plus here was the Sunday lunch - which was simply excellent. Beef Beef or beef, but cooked to perfection with tasty hot veg roasties and gravy - oh and a crispy soft Yorkshire .

Oh and let's not forget the delicious starters - for her the leak& potato soup, thick creamy and smooth with a deep earthy taste, and him the smoked haddock fish cakes with the obligatory poached egg ( cooked to perfection).

A real find - let's hope everyone else keeps passing it buy on a Sunday lunch time😏

When we arrived there was no one to greet us. The place was virtually empty, no people. We left, it would have been a solitary meal-at 7 pm on a Tuesday!

Excellent restaurant with good menu, service and quality. Wine selection was towards the cheap and boring side which was strange given the quality of the food and menu.

The waitresses are super friendly and checks up on us very often. prompt food delivery, the soup of the day was exceptional! The main course, sausages and mash were alright, the sides were burnt and hard, the gravy was good though.

Fab little place. Decor and ambience is lovely. Classy, modern yet unpretentious. Food was yummy. We tried the panko crumb goats cheese, the pork belly, the salmon fillet on risotto and the cheesecake. Mmmm all good!
