We celebrated our anniversary at Barking Frog Restaurant. The food service was slow. The food was a little over-priced for what you got.
Great food! Good service! A must go to place for friends and family to enjoy😊👍🏽
The food and waitstaff are great! This is my favorite brunch place and I highly recommend it. The huevos rancheros are my favorite. And you can’t go wrong in ending your meal with some beignets.
However, the hostess today was not so nice. We were 10 min late and she was so unbelievably rude. I then found out that she marked us as a no show on the reservation. She even told us there was a 15 minute grace period and my mom pointed out that we were only 10 minutes late. I don’t know why we were given such a hard time. Once you get passed the cold welcome to this establishment, you’ll have a great experience.
We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. When we arrived there was a card, a red rose and two glasses of champagne waiting for us. We really appreciate the attention to detail. The food was wonderful. We do not live in the area but we make reservations the next time we are in Woodinville.
I paid $62 for the Beef tenderloin, ordered it medium to medium well. The food was delicious but it was served LUKEwarm! I mentioned this to the waitress and she offered me a free dessert, or another glass of wine, which I both declined, so she took the cost of my first glass of wine off the bill. Great customer service. She persisted until she got it right. 😉
What a glorious experience. The ambiance is simply beautiful, welcoming and elegant. The staff are impeccable. All the way from the valet to the hostess to the waitstaff to the server - and even the General Manager who stopped in to say hi. Food is over the top delicious. I had the Eggs Benedict which were yummy but really enjoyed the avocado toast on my last visit. I can’t wait to go back again.
Excellent options. Would recommend less salt. Great port shoulder. Very good Sable fish. Wife had vegetarian which she enjoyed.
Barking Frog is always a nice treat. Great brunch and cocktails. It's pricey for the food, but ambience and quality is high, making it a nice once in awhile stop. Treat yourself and enjoy!
I always enjoy the food and the atmosphere. They cater to your every need and are more than willing to accommodate.
Please rethink your tea pots, I couldn't get the lid off and the it burned my fingers towards the bottom of the handle.
Wonderful Sunday brunch menu! Thoughtful consideration for the member of our party who is vegan. Will go back soon.
The food and service were very good, as they always are!
A bit on the loud side because tables are so close together...
I went to the Barking Frog for a business lunch with two people. My large kale and beet salad was quite small (it could have fit on a saucer). According to the menu it should have come with goat cheese, but it didn’t. By the time I got our server’s attention to let her know, I only had a few bites left. She offered a small bowl of goat cheese... Great on salad, but not alone on the side. Our bill was not adjusted for this. And the winter squash soup was a little bland and barely like warm.
We had a very productive meeting, and that was worth the $90 I paid for this light lunch. But in the future, I’ll limit my visits there to romantic dinners with my husband.
Service was very respectful and friendly without trying to be our “buddy”. Food was prepared with a very creative use of vegetables, mushrooms and even a red seaweed to enhance the flavor. The entire 4 meals we ate over a 2 night stay - from Sunday brunch to the small dinner plates and entrees were all excellent. One of the best cream brûlée to top it off!
Beautiful, simple impromptu lunch. Great service and delicious food. Definitely recommend.
My daughter has been here before, this is my first visit. Very impressed by the atmosphere, the service and the food was just so scrumptious! Loved the beignets, the crab cakes Benedict, and the best pigs in blanket We have ever tasted! We will be back.
Brunch. Delicious. Thanks!
Very pleasant, wonderful food, service and I nice way to celebrate a special occasion.
Barking Frog is great for brunches--well located if you are going to tour Woodinville wineries the same day. Excellent benedicts and burgers. Always worth it
Great food, good service. We really enjoyed our first visit to Barking Frog. We were treated very well and plan to go back in the near future.
We reserved a table for my birthday brunch at 6:30 AM to start the day with a special dining experience. We arrived at our reservation time to an empty reception and waited to be seated. Finally after some time a server came out and told us to sit anywhere we wanted. We seated ourselves without any recognition that it was my birthday as stated on open table. We were also over charged for an item that wasn't worth mentioning. It seemed as if the early diners were not acknowledged as it wasn't their "busy time." The restroom was obviously not cleaned from the night before. The overall experience was disappointing as we have been to this restaurant many times for special occasion dinners. It appears that the early bird diners will be ignored and not treated as the diners during busier times. I will not return after this experience. Thank you for listening. Hopefully this feedback will be useful for future early bird diners.
We went there and tried their vegetarian and normal menu. All our dishes came out fantastic! Their miso brussell sprouts was phenomenal and the pork chop I had was probably one of the best pork chops I had in a really long time.
Our waiter was great, got us drinks and food promptly with a great attitude.
Only thing I would love to change is probably the overall size and noice level of the restaurant. It feels a bit small and you can hear alot of people throughout the restaurant. Along with that maybe dim the lights a little, where we sat we had overhead lights that were beaming down on our table and a candle that really didnt do much, given how bright it was. Would be fantastic to maybe dim the lights and have more of a "candle-lit" dinner feel.
I'd highly recommend this place for an anniversary or special occasion, since it is a bit pricier.
The ambiance is always relaxing and cozy, clean and pleasant. The best French press presentation you will ever see :) Menu changes often, some interesting desserts
Wine list by the glass too limited.
We have been going to Barking Frog for many years. Although their food is usually very good, I've found them to be inconsistent as of late...I find that I can have 2 or 3 terrific meals, then go back and have a disappointing one - this was one such visit, although only with the food. We were seated right away by a very nice Hostess, Our server, as well, was very nice, personable, and kept up a good pace. Barking Frog was recently remodeled and everything looked beautiful and cozy inside.
The food: I ordered their burger "medium rare" and it was delivered just about well-done. I knew I would only finish half of it, so chose not to send it back. I did mention to the server that it was pretty well done and she asked if it was "too well done"...well, yes, when I ordered it medium rare, that would be the case. She was polite and offered a couple of times to have it re-done, but I declined. In the end, she took it off the bill after discussing it with the Manager. My husband's seafood salad was fine, and our other companion felt that his short rib sandwich was "adequate", at best. We'd also ordered garlic fries - which tasted like yesterday's garlic fries - soggy, limp - just inedible. I know that you take that risk when you're dining at the very beginning of service - I just don't expect this from this restaurant.
Finally, as we departed, the Manager was very nice and asked, as we exited, "How was your lunch today?" My companion said, "Oh, it was adequate", to which the Manager smiled and replied, "Oh great, thanks for coming in." Are you really listening, Barking Frog?
Very unwelcoming host, undercooked food, no special menu for the holiday. Seriously the nicest person was the lady cleaning the restroom. Never again.
Grand Marnier prawns are absolutely the best!! Good wine list and excellent service. My wife and I have made this our “go to” restaurant for all special occasions!
Barking Frog’s atmosphere is very nice, not to large so feels comfortable. Food is excellent, recommend the lamb burger with truffle fries. Great outdoor seating weather permitting.
Brunch menu was good, but wished for more egg options, such as seafood omelette or eggs Benedict.
Food was amazing. The lobster I had was the most tender I have ever had, it even had a sweet flavor to it as well
The barking frog has never been a substandard experience. Food, service, cleanliness, etc. Whole deal. Best in the state.
Relaxing and amazing service
We went to the Barking Frog for a prix fie Valentine dinner with wine pairing. The server was very gracious and even made a substitution for us on this dinner which we really appreciated. This was the official reopening of the restaurant after a substantial remodel of the kitchen and this could have been part of our problem. The food was just warm, not hot. Not sure what the dynamic is of this but that was our experience. The food itself was excellent but warm was a disappointment. Since this was a special dinner for us, we did not choose to send the food back to be rewarmed. Other than that, it was a wonderful evening.
Brought mom and dad for dads birthday. Usually my fiance' and i sit in the bar and Nick is our waiter. He's awesome. This time we got a table and our waiter was dissapointing. He kept forgetting mom and dads brussels sprouts which we ordered as a salad course. We got our beets and ate while they had nothing. Food finally arrived and still no sprouts. Finally arrived after the meal and dad didnt even try them. Too bad. He loves brussels sprouts!!
They are not as good as before.
We loved there for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Today food seemed old
Well, it was overally expensive for the amount of food you received. We went for the New Year weekend but would not go back. It was like going out for 3 regular meals but not nearly the same amount of food - we don't spend that much for food and usually take home letovers. Here, we paid for the "bread service" knowing the portions would be very small. The food was good, I'll say that, but with 8-10 ingredients per dish, I guess they think it warrants the super high price - and we DID NOT have alcohol! I can't imagine what the bill would have cost with wine added in.
Again, overall good ambiance, very small place though, and the food to price ratio was obscene. I don't recommend it and will not be back.
I have always enjoyed our meals and time spent at the Barking Frog. The food is always excellent, service is great, and all is well worth the money. We are very excited to see what the new renovations will uncover. Worth checking out if you have never gone before.
Absolutely delicious! The food at the Barking Frog was outstanding. They offer a Tasting Menu that you can completely customize so we got to try a bit of everything and everything we tried (4 different items for each of us) we loved! The service was exceptional. Can't wait to visit Woodinville again to return to The Barking Frog for dinner!
We had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious. There was no rush from servers, despite us being there for well over 2 hours. The chef even introduced himself and made the evening something we will remember fondly for quite some time. We highly recommend it.
