We would definitely recommend it; however, for it being rated a 5-star, we were disappointed. One of our beef selections was tough. On the upside, the wait staff was excellent in service and providing local winery information. Offered suggestions for the next day wine tours - most excellent suggestions.

Note: The Artisan cheese tray we enjoyed prior to dinner in the Fireside cellars was most excellent.

Great food. It did take too long for the food to arrive to the table. The chef came out and apologized, but they should have compensated us for the extreme delay.

Though a little hard to navigate all the round-abouts to get to, the Barking Frog is definitely worth it. A spendy meal that is definitely worth the price, it's good for a treat. Asking servers about wine pairings is a great choice to experience a wonderful wine to accompanies your food very well. Also enjoy a chat with the executive chef when he wanders about to talk to the guests.

This was a classy place, It was quaint and romantic. The wait staff was top notch and they were friendly and knowledgeable. My only issue was the food which was good but not great. For the price I would expect way better. The desert menu was intriguing but nothing really great on it. The deserts were small, not something that could be shared with a date. On a different note, the 16 oz ribeye, which was my entree, had a lot of gristle. Overall, I had a good experience. For the price I'd prefer a great experience. This was my only time visiting the barking frog, I feel I would have to dine there at least one more time before my opinion should be taken seriously.

We ate at Barking Frog on Valentine's Day. Had to make reservations a month in advance and still was only able to schedule for 8:45pm. I quickly found out why. Terrific food and service. The dungeness crab salad that I ordered was incredible. The apple bavarian, breathtakingly presented, was one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. The only complaint I have is that the tables are spaced very closely together. It sometimes felt like we had to speak in a whisper in order to maintain privacy. Otherwise, a very solid dining experience. People seeking delicious food and very attentive servers would enjoy this restaurant. Just try to come on a day that isn't too busy!

This was the best dinner we have had in quite awhile. When you have the chef standing right there bringing you your food and explaining what it is (we ordered the aphrodisiac valentines day 6 course meal) you know it will be awesome. It was that and then some! The staff is curtious and open and very thrifty and helpful. We are planning one long the barking frog a monthly dinning place when we don't have the kids.

The prawns were amazing! The NW burger just as delicious and the Mac n' Cheese was incredible with the truffle oil and bacon. The server was nice and friendly. Definetly makes you want to come back and visit Woodinville again.

We have eaten at the Barking Frog several times and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service here is always spot on and very knowledgeable. They have an extensive and varied wine list so you can always find the right wine to pair with your food. We will continue to return to the Barking Frog and highly recommend it to others.

Barking Frog has maintained a high level of consistency. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner there (Valentine;s weekend.) We ordered the tasting menu and every course was excellent. The preparations, flavor and variety were wonderful The service we recieved was excellent as well. Special requests were accomodated with grace. We appreciated the extra touches during the meal. All in all simply fabulous.

Always great food and service. Be sure to make a reservation as it can be very full. I prefer the Frog for brunch or lunch and, when the weather is nice in the summer, it's lovely to sit on the terrace. Fabulous wine list.

As usual,Barking Frog was a great spot for lunch. The food is usually very good, the service is always great. This time I took two lovely ladies there for a birthday lunch. On one of entre's the kitchen forgot the dressing on a caeser salad. I always love their clam chowder, but this time there was an unusual amount of sand which happens when you use fresh clams, but every bite was a scrunch. One lady complained that there was grit on her Romaine, not acceptable. I will chaulk this up to a bad day, but it was disappointing. I still highly recommend this place, it is a fun and elegant place to entertain.

It took 1hr. and 20 minutes to be served. Our waiter was less than apologetic when he finally brought our meals without a satisfying answer as to why our meals took so long. The restaurant is the only one around for a few miles because it is located at a lodge. The food is good and they also serve breakfast.

I hope this was an isolated incident.

Had a great Beef Tenderloin that I would highly recommend. It was my first steak that had been prepared Sous Vide and it certainly lived up my expectations.

The duck was good, but not great. It had a very strong orange citrus flavor, which was nice, but a bit overpowering for our taste. That could have been dialed back a bit to let the flavor of the duck really shine. Also, it would have been nice to have a bit more sear on the outside of the duck. I few bites seems to have a nice crisp outside, but most did not. Not sure if this was intended or not, but the couple of crispy bites were the best ones. Still a nice dish.

The only real let down was that our appetizer (Mussels with Chorizo in a red sauce) was far too salty.

Unfortunately the service was slow despite being relatively early and empty, food came out lukewarm at best. If we weren't in a hurry to get to a show (rushed due to slow service) I would have sent it back.

The service and the food was fantastic. It was my husband's birthday, and I had requested in my reservation a good table. The hostess seated us by the door, which was not a good table, but our server made up for it. Our server acknowledged the table wasn't the one we had requested and explained that the people at our table weren't leaving. She also brought us a wonderful champagne and took very good care of us for the entire dinner.
All of the food we ordered was delicious, including the scallops that were seared on the outside, fresh, and just cooked on the inside.

The service was excellent. Friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The food was perfect. The beef and lamb were done just right and so flavorful, the sauces were complex and delicious.
The wine recommendation was spot on.
Our only issue was the tables being a little close together. We could hear both conversations on either side of us which sometimes made it difficult to hear each other. Having said that, we would definitely go again.

Top notch dining experience! My husband and I wanted to get out for a nice evening after being home-bound due to snow. After some debate, hubby agreed to go to BF for dinner (which I thoroughly enjoyed last Dec with some girlfriends). From start to finish, reception, the wait staff, the food, wine and dessert were fabulous. He ordered the True Cod special and I ordered the Beef Tenderloin. Both were exceptional - but the tenderloin is something special. We agreed that the Barking Frog was our destination choice for our upcoming 23rd anniversary...and we'll probably just stay at the Willows Lodge while we're there!

Outstanding Evening celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary, the wait staff were impeccable, attentive and helpful, but respectful of our privacy. Food was delicious even though the kitchen sent out the wrong desert for my wife. I had the lamb and my wife the duck, and both were perfect. Will recommend this great spot to all our friends.

This was our second visit to Barking Frog. We drove over 100 miles, one-way, to dine here. Elegant but inviting, the beautifully appointed dining room welcomes diners clad in jeans or in more formal attire with carefully set tables, thoughtful lighting, an unobtrusive and well-stocked bar, a cozy central fireplace, an amazing professional and attentive wait staff, and a concise and interesting menu worth driving 100 miles to enjoy. Foodies delight!
