Barking Frog is always good.
My suggestion for Restaurant Week: Please give better entree selections in future.

Never disappoints.
After a short day of wine and whiskey tasting, we capped the perfect day with dinner at barking frog. My friend and I both did the 4 -ite,
M tasting menu, and with help from our fabulous waitress(I am so sorry, I believe her name was Jenny?), we both had excellent experiences. I started with the beet "steak," and if you're a fan of beets, it's a must have. The scallop was cooked to perfection and so flavorful.
I had the tenderloin steak, while my friend tried the ribeye. Her first ribeye was not up to standard, but as soon as we mentioned it, the situation was quickly remedied and our meal was delightful.

We went to lunch for SRW and everything was delicious, but disappointed that dessert wasn't included in the lunch menu, like its been in the past...Other restaurants that are participating advertise having dessert for lunch.

Had been looking forward to this occasion for a couple of weeks. Restaurant Week afforded us the ability to eat at this upscale restaurant that otherwise I could not afford. The food was mediocre at best. The wine was pretty good and so was the service but for nearly $200 for 3 people I was prepared to be blown away and I was super disappointed. I won't be going back.

I love taking guests to the Barking Frog. Stellar menu, and exceptional service, not to mention their attention to detail makes this a great place to sample the PNW.

The drive is lovely and it's location makes a person feel better upon arrival.

Plan ahead and make a reservation...

The staff at goes above and beyond at the Barking Frog!! They are so accommodating! They remember my family and always make us feel special, which makes us come back time and time again! Court is super great to my family too and anticipates what we want as we sit down and always makes sure our table, food and service is top notch, which it is. Thank you!

The server was one of the best I've ever had. The food was real good. The event as a whole was so great. We left while speaking about the late night dives and talking about the giant scale bottles in the entrance. I didn't even get to try all the things I wanted. So satisfied, I can't wait to come back.

Our server was Nick who was also tending the bar. He was professional, service oriented and personable. He had a great balance of knowing when to ask us our dining needs. We were celebrating my birthday. He definitely added to our experience. The meal was nothing short of amazing. Excellent dining experience, we will be returning and recommending your restaurant.

I had ordered a Brunch vegetable scramble that came with a large warm biscuit. Small jars of jam were provided but no butter... I requested butter right away. It seemed that my request had been forgotten, while my biscuit turned cold and I was more than halfway through my meal. I asked again and then it wasn't long before our server brought the butter, two thin cold slices, unspreadable! I tried to apply the butter, but the biscuit was quick to crumble. Without butter, the biscuit was dry and heavy, left uneaten.

The vegetable scramble was tasty but hard to eat because the veggies were cut into unnecessarily small pieces, especially the asparagus! I really needed a spoon to eat this dish. The poached eggs on top, however, were cooked perfectly! Overall, considering the ingredients and price of this dish, I felt the portion was too small. I'm not likely to recommend Barking Frog.

Everything about this restaurant is just slightly sub-par for the price paid. Our reservations were for 7:45 and we weren't seated until after 8pm. The Service was just a bit slow and we had to ask for pre-dinner cocktails. They seemed much more interested in serving wine and were willing to go right by asking about cocktails. The food was bland. I had the tuna special and while everything was cooked appropriately it just didn't have much flavor. Absolutely nothing that would make me recommend it. They do have an adequate wine list, tilted toward Washington wines as you'd expect given it's location. Too expense, too slow, and too bland.

I've eaten here on several occasions, mostly for lunches. Of the three in our party, two were very happy with their food choices (the seafood cobb salad and the steak lunch) - I ordered the burger, medium rare, and it arrived medium, so to me, it seemed a bit dry. They have a nice wine selection, but wines by the glass are expensive ($20 for a glass of chardonnay and $15 for a local merlot...nothing special) and our server never did a check back after serving our food. We were celebrating a birthday also, which we told the server in the beginning - what restaurant, these days, never even offers a Happy Birthday dessert to the person who's celebrating it? This place really used to be better...too bad...

I was completely embarrassed in front of my friend and his daughter by the food. My friend (male) and me both ordered halibuts and the girl (a teenager) ordered King Salmon. All of us didn't finish the main courses. It's not because we were full, but the food was really hard to swallow. My friend and me both thought 1) the halibuts were not fresh (the smell was really not very pleasant) and 2) the fish wasn't even seasoned (since there was no salt or pepper on the table, I was about to ask for, but my friend stopped me as he didn't think it's appropriate to ask for seasonings in such upscale restaurant. I did check with the girl on her King Salmon, she said it's OK, but she only ate half of it.

I was quite surprised about such bad quality of food in this restaurant. Interestingly, I don't think I was the only person couldn't be satisfied that night. A gentleman and good-looking lady sat next table from us, they both ordered the same dishes from us, the halibuts. I peeked them both finished all the sides but also both left big chunk of fish in the plates.

How disappointing this restaurant is...

Took my girlfriend here for a dinner date, good food, good atmosphere. The only thing that could be an issue for some is the price, do not expect to be spending under $100 for two. Other than that it was a wonderful experience.

Had an exceptional meal here on the last day of our two week vacation in WA before driving to Seatac to catch the red eye flight back to NY. We went with their superb value 4 course tasting which was wonderful! You get to choose your own four courses from the main menu and the Chefs then half size the portion so you are not overwhelmed with food. Every course was creative and executed perfectly and we couldn't pick a favorite from them. Dessert, often somewhat of a let down, was equally creative and delicious. Also a big shout out to our server Casey who was so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We will definitely plan a return trip to WA and The Barking Frog will be up at the top of the list for dining destinations! Highly recommend it.

We ate breakfast at the Barking Frog three mornings! Each day our service was outstanding and the food exquisite. All three of us would highly recommend dining there. It is a "cut above" other restaurants in the area.

One evening we had dinner at The Frog. I did not care for the steamed halibut as it didn't seem to be done. My meal was comped and I was offered another entree. We were even given lemon tarts at the end of the meal as an apology. The two other diners in our party had an outstanding meal and were very pleased with both their food and high level of service.

We always return to The Barking Frog when we visit Woodinville. Highly recommend.

The entrees and service were fantastic. I ordered scallops, they were huge, perfectly done and ever so sweet, a nice sear! My husband ordered the special which was a cod in an awesome sauce! I thought it a bit silly to charge $6 for bread but it was good and nice to dip in the sauce. The martinis were delish and they even stuffed our olives with gorgonzola as we requested, but would have preferred a martini glass. They served them in a wine or cognac glass. We looked at the tasting menu but it was expensive and somewhat confusing and not sure what the portion size would be. We will be back definitely !
