Great service and very attentive. Food beyond excellent
Amber was great as our server
Wonderful experience during a nasty snow day. Made our triple birthday celebration lots of fun!
Rib eye steak was nothing special and desert was just ok.
We came to the frog for our anniversary and they had a handwritten note waiting on the table congratulating us. Our server was so sweet and helpful with the menu!!! We had a wonderful night!!
This one is tough. I did a business dinner and included my wife. We have enjoyed the restaurant several times in the past (out on the deck in the summer). Something was wrong with the kitchen this time. My entree was not edible because is had so much salt in the dish and was coated with a heavy dose of finishing salts. I ate less than half of it without much comment because I didn't want to seem high-maintenance for my business guests. I finished most of the short rib but could not stomache the seared ahi. It suffered from overheated oil when searing and was heavily coated in finishing salts that the much of the plate was inedible. When the plate was cleared, it was strange that no one even asked if I had an issue with the meal. I must say, it was the first time there when all of our plates were not spotless when cleared. The restaurant was very very busy, and it was quite loud with a couple of large parties that were a bit abnoxious. But the service was otherwise outstanding. I really appreciate how well the staff is trainined.... with exception, I guess, of how to recognize when there is a problem with someone's dish. At $150+ a head, this really needed to be better.
Excellent meal with knowledgeable and friendly staff
This is the first time I got a salad that I have had before with mayo dressing. 3 shrimp ok on the crab . I am not sure if it was a new cheat but we always are so happy to visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Please go back to your old style of dressing . Also it was my husband 71 birthday and we did not get a dessert to celebrate.
Service and food were superb.
The Barking Frog is an exceptional restaurant, you are guaranteed a memorable experience. We most appreciated the manner in which our server paced our dinner. I am always reluctant to order all of my courses at the beginning of the meal because oftentimes dishes come out too quickly and the meal feels rushed. Our server gave us ample time between courses, we were able to savor every bite and enjoy some lovely wines as well. The food itself is some of the best in the northwest!
Great to get together with friends
The food was excellent! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The server was good but serious and did not offer to refresh our coffee. It would be nice to have a changing table in the bathroom. There was enough room in the sink to change my baby’s diaper, so this was a non issue. But of course this meant limiting sink use for a few minutes. The bathroom is large enough that it could easily accommodate a changing table.
Great place, great food, great service
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend
Top notch restaurant and the food was outstanding. The price, however, was outrageous given the amount of food and wine we got. $300 for dinner for two is too much. We won't be able to return because of the price.
Went for breakfast after staying a night at the Willows Lodge. The Barking Frog Native Northwest carving at the host desk represents abundance and tranquility. The food was better than expected. The huckleberry pancakes were light and fluffy and served with real maple syrup. Our server Christy was exceptional and attentive, anticipating our needs before we asked.
It was a very pleasant evening and the food was great.
We drove an hour and a half to go to the Barking Frog for lunch. It was worth it! Great atmosphere, Pleasent servers and delicious food.
Delicious ahi appetizer. Octopis was wonderful. Servise was great. Foccacio and butter went well with a glass of champagne. We dine often with you and will continue.
Truly amazing food and wine. Phenomenal service. Tasting menu with wine pairing is well worth it -- the wine is always a great complement to each entree.
Really wonderful experience, exceptional cuisine and service indeed!
Service and food was great. I like the vegetarian options that they have on the menu. I had a reservation but was taken to my table upon arrival even though I was early. I very much appreciated that.
Absolutely fantastic ambiance a stone's throw from the city. Wonderful wine country style decor that create as a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Really enjoyed two weekend dinner thanks to a dedicated, friendly staff who go out of their way to make the occasion memorable. The circular table around a large fire pit inside is very impressive. Bar seating for casual dining is a nice touch. Dishes are prepared with an emphasis on the flavor experience. I ordered vegetarian on purpose and both dishes, including cauliflower steak, were exquisitely prepared albeit that one was slightly uneven in serving temperature. If there's anything to avoid it would have to be the ahi and short rib. Barking Frog seems to have a long way to go with the beef portion of this dish. The menu offers a very balanced combination of main and shareable dishes. The wine list is comprehensive and offers something for everyone, including a bubbly sweet red (ask for the dessert wine list). Self-parking can be tight and that's why there's also valet.
As a native north-westerner the brunch was exciting - both the huckleberry pancakes and the beignets with huckleberry cream cheese. (They were good the next day as well).
The frog is a completely reliable dining fixture in Woodinville, where restaurants have not even begun to keep pace with the explosion of winery’s and tasting rooms. The menu is short, with no thing tricksy or surprising. Portions are good. The service is consistently friendly, and reasonably prompt. How I wish the drip coffee could be brought up to the basic expectations of anyone in Seattle.
Great little gem in Woodinville, not too cheap but close to any good restaurant prices in the Eastside. Food selection nice and quite elegant, perfect restaurant for a special date or special anniversary...
Our server was absolutely amazing!! I can't remember her name but she had long blonde hair and is a vegetarian. Super friendly and accommodating and really pleasant!!! We loved our food and the wine was fantastic.
Ribeye stake was awful, order something else
We love coming here. Service is always good. Food is always good. My only comment is, someone care to open our bottle of wine that I ordered, not our server. I doubt she was the sommelier. She opened the bottle for my husband rather than me. Then she put the cork in front of him and put the bottle down. Did not offer a tasting pour to either of us so that we could ensure the bottle was acceptable (as in it was good and not corked in flavor). We then asked if she would decant the wine, which she did, and again no offer of a taste. Not sure what training is, but I think something was definitely missed. Other Than that our server was amazing and food good.
Also a special place to join friends. Had A wonderful breakfast and dinner during our stay.
Jennifer Fowler was our Server, she was perfect in every way
Great breakfast
I expected a lot better from this place.
We went with the fixed course and our first two dishes were not very good.
My wife's main, the pork chop, was very good and my steak was just OK.
This place would not last a year in Portland, but gets by in Woodinville due to a captive audience and not much competition.
I guess tourists are not that choosy.
In the middle of Woodinville Wine Country, this is the best place to enjoy a wonderful lunch. Plenty of free parking, outstanding food and service. The menu has a variety of food to satisfy everyone.
Wine by the glass seemed a bit expensive, that's the only 4- out of 5-star that I give.
I was absolutely blown away when our waitress came to the table as we were seated and commented on the fact that I was allergic to seafood. It had been months since I'd last been there and I was thoroughly impressed that they had a record of my dining preferences/needs from that previous visit and were able to identify that from my reservation. Definitely made me feel appreciated as a customer. As always, the food was exceptional - a great evening.
Always a great choice for lunch while winery-hopping in Woodinville. Service is great, menu varied, prices reasonable.
Love the Barking Frog!! Everything was so good! The service, the food and the ambiance!
Overall excellent experience from exceptionally professional staff to the great tasting food. Only problem I had was the steak I ordered was largely just the chewy fatty pieces. Wine pairing was the best. Would recommend trying this place however!
My new favorite restaurant. Besides the Herbfarm next door (at 400 a plate) I don't think you can get better food outside of Seattle. Definitely Michelin star worthy if they gave them in the Seattle area. Everything they serve is a step above expectations. Went with our 4 year old daughter and they were very accommodating. Love this place.
Excellent as always, food is wonderful and service is attentive. We always bring our own wine as we have usually been wine tasting. Always recommend.
