We had the most incredible time. Outstanding atmosphere. Excellent service. Delicious food. So fun seeing the kitchen. Friendly, professional staff. Visit here. Often!!
We had a wonderful lunch at Barking Frog. Out server gave us great food suggestions,we both had the prawn salad, I had the beet steak and my friend the lamb and both were delightful! One of my favorite lunch destinations!
Food was incredible and staff was very friendly and attentive. There is a rotating menu, but I had over the course of the meal pork belly, shrimp, and scallops all of which were incredible. Cannot wait to go back!
We went for Seattle restaurant week. The food, service, and restaurant were all amazing. We'll definitely go back even when it's not Seattle restaurant week.
Visited during Seattle Restaurant Week. Based on high ratings from about every website, expectations were high going in.
Service was friendly and attentive throughout. Food was above average for sure, but not off the charts, so it fell short of those lofty expectations.
Portion size was smaller than expected, perhaps in light of SRW set pricing.
Place is easy to find and the interior was modern style with seating comfortable with tables just far enough apart to maintain a little privacy. On a more crowded night, I suspect the noise level would be higher & privacy less likely.
Place was nice, food good, service great, just didn’t get to 5 stars. Tab for 2 including tax + tip was $100 and really don’t think that’s justified.
We had dinner during Seattle Restaurant Week. In the past, we have had lunch during this special event and have always been most impressed. This was our first dinner. Although it is still one of my favorite restaurants, I wasn't blown away this time like I have been in the past. Perhaps it was my choices, but my dinner wasn't exceptional -- very good, but not exceptional. I do believe, however, that The Barking Frog does give "more bang for the buck" during Seattle Restaurant Week. The portion sizes were perfect -- they did not skimp at all. I still love this restaurant.
We enjoy BF. This time it seemed like the kitchen was really slow. We were there early (2nd table seated) so I don't think that was it. Just between courses it was a long time. Food was good and company at the table was great. Just noting.
The Barking Frog is a cut above the rest. Great food, great service and nice ambiance. Always a treat to have a meal here. Highly recommend!
An evening with friends... The service we received from Rochelle was excellent. We were attended to expeditiously upon arrival, then handled perfectly for the balance of the night... The lobster bisque was served/presented like it was fine art & it tasted amazing - best I’ve ever had.
Our server Hanna was great and so was the food! Will definitely be back.
Very nice atmosphere.
We had ravioli and qual appetizers - both were so delicious! Grilled octopus was excellent, had an extra side of potato dumplings - crispy and yammi. Nice desserts. Great, tasty food as usual! Highly recommend this place!
Rochelle was our server, and she was incredibly effusive and warm! Would 110% recommend dining for special occasions or date night.
The food was amazing. I had ribeye with egg yolk raviolo. I love the raviolo. It is so delicious. I am not even sure how they make it, but i was the lucky recipient of the gem. For deset, we had creme brulee. It was good. Perfect finish to a beautiful meal.
My husband and I rejoiced at returning to the Barking Frog for Restaurant week to sample some tasty, fresh morsels of food. We loved the prawns, for which Barking Frog is known, and were handed the recipe! The fried beet and vegetable main offered was also extremely flavorful and delicious.. my husband added chicken to his! We always love the wine choices recommended by Jennifer and fresh bread.
Excellent wait staff! Excellent food and wine. Will be going again.
Very nice restaurant located in a beautiful area. Service was outstanding - great place for a romantic dinner.
The hostess was cold. I didn't feel welcome. However, the servers were nice and I really enjoyed my meal.
Great service, exceptional food and such a knowledgeable server.
Great experience! We
Our waitress was helpful and informative and very pleasant!
Enjoyed a superb lunch during Restaurant Week! Had the shrimp appetizer, bread basket and trout. Delicious - very attentive service.
I just love this place. The serbkce, the punctuality, the food, the drinks, everything about it. I tend to try all servings brunch, lunch, dinner, etc.
Our food took over an hour to arrive.
Overpriced - food not that unique. Experience didn’t feel that special for the price.
Great food! They were able to accommodate my food intolerances and I was so appreciative. I would absolutely come again and bring more of my friends. Thank you!
Great food, service and wine! Had a wonderful time. Attention to detail of the food preparation to look and taste yummy. Highly recommend.
Service was spectacular, ambience was the same. Food came quickly. Desert was spectacular. I think I impressed my wife on our 16th anniversary! 😁
The service and food are outstanding - we had the tasting menu and each and every dish was unique, seasoned right on the spot and very delicious!
Great dining experience!
The noise level is the hardest part of being in this restaurant
Otherwise - the menu was not very selective on a Sunday.
No salads to choose from.
food was good though.
Wonderful Champagne brunch to celebrate!
Great food, great service. Unfortunately, they had no record of my Open Table reservation but I showed them my confirmation number and they were able to accommodate us.
Crab Benedict was one of the best ever. Mimosas were appropriately portioned (not too much juice). Celebrating my Birthday with my husband who had not been there before. Great service and nice touch with Birthday candle and chocolates at the end. Looking forward to next time.
As usual, Barking Frog was a wonderful experience from the cocktails (hibiscus margarita and Woodinville whiskey sidecar), to Phil’s fried chicken sandwich and the Dungeness crab and bacon wrapped prawn Cobb salad, as they were all exquisite. We have been there for lunch multiple times and they never fail to disappoint with the quality of their food selections. Also, and to be mentioned, their staff is first class and is very knowledgeable about the menu items. This feature has not wavered over the many years of dining there. And especially during the late spring and summer months, the grounds surrounding the Willows Lodge are so lovely to explore after a delightful lunch.
The server forgot the bread until we were being served the soup and salads. Service seemed slow, though the server was friendly when she was around. Food was excellent. Wine suggestion was only fair, needed to be mellower to fit with the meal. All in all, a nice experience.
We celebrated birthdays at a lovely lunch recently. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We had so much fun in a lovely setting, surrounded by other happy diners, and were treated like royalty. Thank you so much for making the celebrations just that much better.
The ambiance of this restaurant is so inviting and warm. You can hear each other really well which makes dinner nicer as you can hear each other. The lobster bisque is not only beautiful pleasing to the eye but is so tasty. The food is so fresh. I would be remiss if I didn't comment on the service. Oh my goodness. They are so attentive and friendly and were so accommodating to asking the chef questions to address the food sensitivities in the group. Such a beautiful restaurant with great food and service.
Hannah our server is always the best and I can’t say enough amazing things about Jack (busser). He is beyond helpful, full of charisma and definitely deserves a promotion up to server :)!

Our visit to The Barking Frog was excellent. Food and service was excellent. The table location was very nice. The noise level was high. My only suggestion is for the restaurant is to do something to tone down noise level.
Food was exceptional this time. They were able to adjust both dishes to our liking and did not disappoint. Recommend the burrito without the tortilla, it turns out more like a frittata and is delish. Also had the skillet which was excellent. The waite staff is always courteous and attentive. The noise level is always an issue especailly when there are large groups, which is always. Thank you so much for the great experience.
We like coming there in general. Our waitress had served us in the past and she is just the best! so pleasant, helpful, cheerful! She is one I feel very good about leaving my gratuity.
We are saddened the little bread loafs had been dropped, they were something we looked forward to and in our opinion, a very poor management decision but then there must be some reason you all found value in do this, to bad as the customer loses out on something special.
