Barka has a very diverse menu! Almost like a Greek diner, but with not turkey club sandwich! Lots of Italian menu items, some Greek menu items, steaks and fish too! They a great Greek salad and there are choices for everyone's taste. They have a very fair priced wine list. The service was absolutely great.
As always, great dining experience! The burrata and avocado & shrimp specials were out of this world! The place was super busy but that didn’t affect the delivery of service at all!
I will definitely be back!
Great all around
Nice variety of seafood. Very loud atmosphere. Made a reservation & we waited 10 min for our table. I will give it another chance.
Amazing food and attentive staff!! I will be back for sure!
Excellent service and food with a nice ambience.
Food as usual was excellent. Had the steak special and it was cooked as ordered. Waiter was attentive and professional.
Nice Saturday night dinner. Food was great. Particularly enjoyed the shrimp arrabbiata and filet of sole. Great bar and overall ambiance and service. Had not been there in a few years. Glad we returned.
Farewell to friends who are moving.
We started our evening at the bar with a drink and their veggie chip appetizer with Tzatziki sauce, a must order shareable item. The bartenders, Dora and Yadi are always engaging and pleasant. We then moved into the dining room where Nick, the manager had a wonderful booth waiting for us. Besi our server was incredible and amazing along with the rest of his staff, Milan, Miljan and others. They always are accommodating and make you feel part of the Barka family. If you have not try this place, what are you waiting for. Food is incredible and presented well is why I keep coming back.
The food and atmosphere is outstanding as well as the service. I am a return customer for sure!
Just great food and great environment
The food is awesome. The blackened halibut was to die for. The calimari was the best I have had in a long while. Our server was very attentive and personable. It is a very nice restaurant and the price is commensurate with the great food and atmosphere. Love the booths.
We had a lovely dinner with friends.
Very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent.
1st time was questionable. Second time finalized the last. Was seated and proceeded to wait 10 minutes for a server. Finally we flagged down a table runner to get our drinks. Our real server finally shows up not to interested in taking our order. Very unorganized Must if the head servers seemed to congregate around the pizza man who didn’t seem to be busy with his orders. General manager seemed to walk around in his suit but didn’t pay attention to detail and not help the sever one bit. Will not come back. A real shame because the food was good and the variety on the menu was great but not worth the disappointment!!!!
Great place, very nice ambience and great food
Discover Barka not to long ago frequent several times since and have not been disappointed ... we’ll be back again and again.
Nothing but good things to say. Will definitely return. My husband’s french onion soup was noticeably NOT full of salt. My beer salad was extremely generous with a good balance of savory and sweetness. My husband’s NY strip was done to his preference and was presliced from the bone. My cavatelli and crab was again very generous and the butternut squash in the sauce added a nice element. The apple strudel and ice cream was crispy and flaky, not soggy as usually encountered. All in all a lovely meal, excellent service, and at an acceptable price point.
Extensive menu but both the service and the noise level somewhat detracting from the otherwise pleasant setting.
Sat @ the bar and ordered from the tapas menu. Everything came out in stages and was delicious.
Unbelievable dinner! I would recommend to everyone. We are actually going back a week later it was that good!!
My husband and I am love this place and we frequent Barka on special occasions and love the food. The food is excellent and they have great happy hour. Everyone is so friendly and make us so welcome. We will keep going back.
This is our 3 time
Excellent food. Chilean sea bass was great. Interesting salads. Very nice ambiance. Highly recommend.
It’s was very good
We were a party of 8 and fairly loud so we had no issue with the noise level. In addition, our waiter and the service in general was really good. The food disappointed us. The appetizers were very average. We ordered Bluepoint oysters and at $3.50 ea. should have received large, full oysters. These were small and not meaty as Bluepoints should be. The shrimp and avocado had such a limited amount of shrimp.
For the entrees, someone order a steak, it was disgusting. Like not even edible. We sent it back and he ordered the penne bolognese which was also not good. And we shouldn’t have been charged for this. Three people ordered halibut but we were told 5 minutes later that you were out. Someone ordered the tuna entree that came fried. It should say that on the menu. I ordered the Branzini, it was small and darkish meat and didn’t taste too good. Overall a poor food experience which I think you knew because you gave us some free desserts; which, while very much appreciated, didn’t do much as they weren’t good either.
Sorry for the poor review; I had been here 4 previous times and had no issues and enjoyed my meal each of those times.
Really great Happy Hour. Includes $14 Lamb Chops and Filet Mignons, and half price cocktails!
There was a screaming child seated next to us, whom neither the parents nor the manager tried to quiet.
Also, ordered a shrimp& avocado appetizer which was priced in high teens and it had exactly 4 pieces of shrimp!
Service and food were fabulous
Dinner at Barka was perfect, as always. Thank you!
Excellent food and service.
First time at this Restaurant and it was fantastic! Great wine list, we had Calamari appetizer(big enough for 3-4to share) Lobster Ravioli, and Seared Tuna. All were excellent. Our Waiter Arban was polite and efficient.
Very good and would return. Soft shell crabs were tasty!
A wonderful experience. Our first time was excellent. The service, the food and the atmosphere were phenomenal. The staff was very detail oriented and accommodating to our requests. They made us feel as if we were the only ones there.
Celebrated our 25th year anniversary last Wednesday. Great eats, good service and affordable.
Wonderful food and service. This is our second time dining at Barka and we were so happy to have the chance to return. We enjoyed every course - from cold seafood tower and tender octopus for appetizers to the branzino main course. Portions were very generous so we didn’t make it to dessert. Thank you for making this such a memorable meal for our group. It was the perfect way to celebrate my dad’s 97th birthday.
The food was homemade and fresh. Prices are reasonable and the service was great. Will definitely be back.
My husband took me out to dinner for my birthday and overall we were completely disappointed. We arrived and ordered 2 appetizers, one of which was a cheese board, when it came out there was no explanation as to what was on the plate so we proceeded hoping the service would get better. I ordered lamb chops which were just ok, no flavor (I think they even forgot the salt) and the spinach that accompanied it did not taste fresh. My husband ordered the ribeye, the steak came out still cooking on a plate with oil splattered all over it which once put on the table was splattering on my husband shirt. He couldn’t even touch the plate and the waiter was no where to be found. Finally, after 10 min I asked if they could bring the steak on another dish because the dish was still 500 degrees. The waiter bought a plate and didn’t remove the steak instead he said to my husband “be careful it’s hot”????? When he cut into the steak it was like leather, he ordered it medium but it had been cooking at our table for an additional 10 min so it was over cooked and so dry. We gave it back to the waiter explaining it was ordered medium and it was dry and had no taste to it. The manager proceeded to come over and tried to explain that the steak is served “sizzling” completely ignoring that fact that the steak is over cooked, dry and the plate it came on was dirty with oil and it looked like leather. Definitely not a $44 steak! He was not accommodating at all and didn’t even say he was taking it off the check, they did when we received the bill but we couldn’t wait to get out of there. I also forgot to mention that it felt like the air conditioner wasn’t on in the restaurant. Not worth the money - there are a ton of other great restaurants in the area.
