Bare Bones Steakhouse
Sunday evening dinner was excellent. I had shrimp and grits and my husband had prime rib (a specialty on Sunday and Tuesday evenings. He said it was the best prime rib he has had in a long time. This was the first time we have been to this restaurant and will certainly return.
Bare Bones never disappoints! The steaks are better than anything in Atlanta. Service is outstanding, ask for Matthew (he will show you how to properly do squats, we showed him) The beer and cocktail selection is excellent, discovered a new stout call Dark Truth, a recommendation from Matthew. The grits are the hidden gem. 6 out of 5 stars!
Have been wanting to try this place for a while now. It did not disappoint. The food was great, particularly I have to point out the fried cauliflower appetizer, everyone at the table agreed it was exceptional. The steaks of course, right on point, cooked exactly as ordered. And the brownie sundae, I cannot say enough about! Our server, Jessie was fantastic, friendly, timely and never made us feel rushed. Will definitely be back!
Awesome steak every time. Always very friendly. Banana’s Foster is great also.
Bare Bones was highly recommended by a family member. The steaks were amazing and the gluten free options were a huge hit. My wife and I will definitely be going back for many more dates!
Value and service and food are always great. I love Bare Bones.
I rate any steakhouse up against my favorites. Rathbuns, Bones, NY Prime. And where as bare bones has an excellent menu, a clean environment, and friendly staff. They lack in the cuts of their meat. The steak was ordered medium rare plus. The server was confused by my request. They steak arrived almost medium well. The steak lacked the flavor that I have grown accustomed to from the restaurants that i listed above. I believe that bare bones has the potential to be a standout in that crowd eventually. The red wine Demi glaze however was fantastic. Usually i don’t need any sort of sauce on a steak, but if you have to have one in order
To make it enjoyable. The Demi glaze at bare bones is worth it.
Cheryl was an awesome server and the food was delicious as always.
Had an amazing time ! Food was amazing!!! Will definitely recommend!!
Best T bone I’ve ever had and I eat at Steakhouses ALOT!!
The wait staff is spot on. Very knowledgeable about their food offerings. The best melt in your mouth steak, cooked to perfection. I don't eat steak often, but when I do it has to be great and this experience was just that! I highly recommend.
This is our second time as a family going to Bare Bones. We just thoroughly enjoy everything about this restaurant. The food is definitely all homemade. No skimping on flavor to portion size. To start, I had the wedge salad which had the perfect balance of bacon, nuts and blue cheese. Our son had the Sunday Prime Rib served medium rare with the perfectly whipped garlic mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. For my entree, I had the choice NY strip with Bernaise and my husband had the prime rib eye with whipped horseradish sauce. We also had the most amazing Mac n cheese with bacon to share (I’m a Mac n cheese aficionado and this was superb), as well as the onion rings. The onion rings are sweet, savory and spicy. So different but delicious.
For dessert, we had the Creme brûlée and the blackberry cobbler. We really enjoyed mixing the two desserts. Both were perfectly done and had such lovely flavors without being overly sweet.
Our server, Dillon, was kind, attentive and knowledgeable. The entire place runs like clock work. One can tell the staff enjoy working there. They all compliment each other and have each other’s back. No competition amongst this staff, which is hard to find in a restaurant.
We will be back again very soon!
Consistently amazing every time we go!!!
First timers at Bare Bones and I was hesitant from mixed reviews both from friends and on yelp. My husband and I had a fabulous experience for dinner. We shared a steak and I have to say it was the best steak we’ve had at any restaurant in Georgia! Service was great as well. We’ll definitely be back.
Our waiter was Ken. He was not informed At All about the restaurant or the food or wine or drinks. He was very uninformed! We had a table of 4 and no one at the table could hear him or understand anything he said.
The food was just “OK”. Two of the steaks at our table were simply wonderful but the other two were not cooked well.
We simply LOVED the atmosphere! It is such a lovely place and environment. We enjoyed the environment and hope that the service level and food can improve.
This was our first time there and we definitely will come back. Delicious steaks and also loved the great options for starters and sides. Too full for dessert but they sounded great - will try one next time!
Ken was wonderful! We love going to bare bones and every time is delicious.
Ken was our server and he rocked! Ken took time to explain the Bare Bones story. His recommendation about choices were spot on, terrific. My family visiting from Philly raved about the quality of experience & food with a special shout out to Ken! Thanks for a wonderful dining experience. Clearly, this is one of the best dining places in GA!
Everything was amazing! Make sure you order the onion rings... even if you think you don’t like onion rings! They are so good!
Great every time!
I took my husband for his birthday. We'd never been before and sat at the bar to have a cocktail before dinner. The ladies were friendly and we enjoyed there banter. Our waiter was outstanding, giving recommendations, describing dishes and just overall attentiveness. The waiter encouraged my husband to try the banna's foster which was excellent. The only draw back of the nice is that it was pretty noisy from other conversations as it's in an old warehouse. The decor was very interesting and well put together.
Ordered a prime NY strip and boneless rib eye - the strip was tougher than we expected and the rib eye looked kind of small.
I have always given Bare Bones 5-stars. I have and I will continue to recommend them for o anyone looking for an excellent meal. I will continue to bring my clients there to show appreciation for their business. However, our most recent trip there was not the best. We indicated on the reservation that we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary. No mention of it from hostess or waitress. The servers seemed overwhelmed and we didn’t see the bread for 25 minutes, which is when we were able to but in our app order. Salads and apps arrived at the same time. We go there often and I underwent we will have a multitude of experiences. We will put this behind us.
Food it wonderful and room is beautiful. It is noisy so quieter would be better but then the room would have to change and I really like all the wood.
Great meal. Great service. Open dining room very noisy.
Service was great. Food was over priced. Sides and salads were a la carte. I ordered a prime filet mignon which was tender, but not that flavorful . My husband ordered the prime rib eye and shared my opinion.
Happy that they take reservations, but very noisy.
I felt the food was way overpriced and overrated. I got a prime ribeye. Ribeyes are my favorite. I’m aware of their fat content, etc. I cook them all the time. I order them out all the time. The 16oz Prime wasn’t any better than what’s considered a choice (like what I get at Kroger) and cook myself. It was tougher than I expected as well. The macaroni and cheese was too dry for my liking. Sweet potatoes had too much marshmallow cream and not enough sweet potatoe. Onion rings were nice. Service (Clay) was outstanding!!!
Wonderful steakhouse. Surprisingly casual. Your overdressed if you don't wear jeans :) Great service. Unpretentious good ole fashion fried sides... Mushrooms rocked!
Our table of enjoyed a relaxing, fun evening. Top quality steaks cooked to perfection and great flavor! Enjoyed specialty cocktails, the BB Tini and Hat Trick. Generously portioned side dishes for sharing. Our server very knowledgeable, prompt, attentive. Recommended a red wine from the Corley Family Napa valley which was delicious compliment to our steaks. Warm, rustic, industrial atmosphere with a vibe.
This was our third visit and we took friends for their first time. They loved it and we had the same experience as we’ve had every time which was great! Definitely a first choice for a nice night out!
My favorite local restaurant! Food and drinks never disappoint!
We don't love it. The food is average at best. The wait staff is good, knowledgeable. For a special occasion, they sat us in a pretty congested area. Just not the best.
This was only my second visit to BB Steakhouse and I could not be more please with the entire experience. Cannot say enough about the staff, the food, the service and the overall evening. If you live in the area, you must go. Great place for a celebration, treating out of town guests, you name it.
Wow! BareBones is a top class steakhouse. After two visits, I can say this is my favorite steakhouse in Georgia. I’d put it up against any of Atlanta’s steakhouses.
The ambiance is more comfortable than restaurants that provide equivalent quality cuisine. The prices are better as well.
The food- it’s all about the steaks and sides, for me. My wife loved the selections of beverages.
Staff is knowledgeable and properly attentive.
I only wish I’d learned of Bare Bones sooner - I’ve missed out in the past but will keep coming back in the future!
Excellent food excellent service because it's so open it's very loud
We have a very nice meal and the steaks were very good. We are an older couple so the place was a little noisy for our tastes.
Most tender steak I've ever eaten. The service was impeccable.Went here for Anniversary
My husband and I had Bare Bones for the first time Friday night for our anniversary and it is now my favorite restaurant hands down! The service was excellent, our waiter Clay and his helper Kevin were fantastic and explained everything to us thoroughly to help make decisions about what to order. The onion rings were the most delicious onion rings I’ve ever eaten, my steak was perfection and the Mac and cheese was so good! I would recommend Bare Bones to anyone and I have already suggested to all my friends and family that they try it.
I took my son last night for his first REAL steak house experience and they did not disappoint! My husband and I had been before so we already knew that the food was spectacular. Our server, after finding out that he was new to steak, took the time to explain each different cut and what they taste like.
I got a PRIME NY Strip and it was the most flavorful steak I have ever eaten. The grits were PERFECT Southern grits and I am a picky grit eater! My app of French Onion Soup was absolutely layered with levels of flavor. And the cream puffs...I actually dreamed of them last night.
But more than anything, I just was astounded by the customer service from start to finish. The seating hostess, our server and the expediters were all courteous and pleasant. On top of that, I am disabled and use a wheelchair. The paths were wide and clear so my arrival didn't interrupt someone else's meal. I had told them on the reservation so they could be prepared and they had saved a table with easy in/out access for me and I was personally greeted by the manager to make sure my needs were met. Who does that in this day and age? Bare Bones...that's who!
