I made reservations on line, for Tuesday October 16th for 4 people. Bards confirmed. Only to find out when we’re arrived, that they were closed. The Hub which was located upstairs and next door to Bards said they had changed back to their Fall/Winter hours. So, we then ate at the Hub, which was quite nice. And it would have been decent if Bards had informed me. Also We chose Bards, because they had a full back page add in the Brochure for the Stratford Festival.
Limited menu. The food was disappointing. It really wasn't very good and really nothing special.
Had made reservations and when we arrived were told they had a group of 45 upstairs and it would be at least a 45 minute wait for a meal. We have wanted to go there since being redone and stayed. Waiter was pleasant and the meals arrived in closer to 20 minutes.
Good portions and cooked right! We will return.
My step daughter had mentioned it was a birthday and nothing was mentioned by the staff. Only comment.
The restaurant wasn't even open today so we did not have our reservation completed. This restaurant needs to do a better job communicating with Open Table the hours they are accepting reservations - or stop using the service. Unacceptable since the reservation was made over a week ago.
Great food and very friendly staff. We ate at a high top table in the bar area and could still hear the live music. A good find for us for future dining.
Very impressed with the ambience and quality. A great location.
Our first visit and plan to return soon with friends.
It was the best meal I have enjoyed in Stratford. Our waitress was very good and the wine deal was amazing
Good first time experience. We liked the menu and our server Jordan!
Good service, beer selection and bread but entrees lacked flavour and seasoning.
Service was great, the waiter excellent...quick, friendly, somewhat knowledgeable about the food.
The food was the problem. For the appetizer a better balance on the meat/cheese/vegetable would be better. If I had ordered dinner myself I would have know what was on my plate. BLAND. They need to check the definition of 'zesty' before the tell me the dish is accompanied by a slightly 'zesty' relish. Blackened catfish not only refers to the colour but also the flavouring of the spices that it is fried in. Oh and maybe cook the rice in a vegetable or mushroom broth.? My fault for not making reservations sooner before our weekend trip. I'll know better for next time.
It was a Thursday night so it was dead. BUT we have no reason why! This place makes fantastic food. Limited menu but a good variety of dinners and salsa and apps so there is something for everyone. The wait staff was phenomenal. It was a bit chilly when we walked in (in August, they had the AC pumping), so they sat us by the fireplace and turned it on for us. Then they even brought lap blankets for my wife and our friend. Wow. Wait staff was engaging and fun. Hugh spent some time talking g to my buddy and I about craft beer and even recommended a place we will be checking out in the ride home to Michigan. Do yourself a favor, make this a must stop on your visit to Stratford.
Yummy brunch. Delicious eggs Benedict and lovely cocktails. We will be back!!
Our reservation was for 5:15 and we left at 7:15. The food was very good but not abundant. Be sure to order an appetizer as the main course is not enough to fill you. Our waitress was excellent however the food was slow coming to the table. Loved the fact that they had so many choices of beer and the waitress was great at recommending based on our conversation. Just felt that the prices of drinks and food was a little high for the quantity received.
Food was bland and one meal was not as ordered and the bitter taste was too dominant to enjoy the remainder. The second entree was good. Food in general needed more seasoning.
I find the menu a bit skimpy on healthy choices and food a bit tasteless.
