   This is one of my go-to restaurants! Great spot for dinner/brunch. Tapas come out fresh and waiters have always been knowledgeable of their selection of wine. Highly recommend for a taste of authentic Spanish food! Be warned: atmosphere gets louder as the night goes on. But if that's your thing, sit by the bar!

   My boyfriend & I had very high expectations of this place. We had walked by it a few times & it's definitely been on our list of places to go for too long. Finally we wen't to celebrate National Paella Day on 03/27. WOW. I was sooooo impressed from the moment we got there. We showed up 45 minutes before our reservation because we were so excited to try it out. The restaurant was PACKED, even the patio and it was a chilly night. The manager himself seated us and told us little about the menu. Our waiter came shortly after and took our drink order. We had the pitcher of red sangria. It's a steal. My boyfriend and I each got at least 4 glasses out of it. You could really taste the elderflower. The tapas came out very fast. We ordered the empanadas and croquettes. SO YUMMY. The sauces that came on the side were soooo delicious and complimented the main dish. The paella took about 30-40 minutes to come out which we barely even noticed because the atmosphere and tapas were so great. It made me think they were really putting the time and effort needed to make good paella. We got the seafood version. Again, a HIT. We currently have a mild obsession with this restaurant now. BTW, the prices are extremely reasonable for the portion sizes. Most tapas are in the single digits which I find rare in the DC area. All of the employees were amazing. We left so happy and full. We will definitely be back soon.

   Absolutely loved this place. My fiance took me here to celebrate my first mother's day and everything was perfect! Our reservations were for 6:30 and we walked in and they sat us right away! Tali took care of us and we tried just about everything on the menu (the patatas Bravas were our favorite but everything was great), it was all delicious and cooked to perfection! We will be going back again soon, and our family and friends will be trying it as well! I seriously can not say enough about how amazing the place was, how delicious the food was and the atmosphere was calming, classy and relaxing. I highly recommend Barcelona in DC to everyone who is thinking of going here and anyone who has never heard of it!

   Reservations are irrelevant. Waited for an hour and a half in a zoo of people. After talking to the host 3 times we eventually left. We were supposed to get a call to inform us that our table was ready...but that never happened. Saturday night the atmosphere was 1/2 bar 1/2 restaurant. It was so busy that you couldn't really move - even the staff seemed annoyed because there was no room for them to navigate. I would also point out that the restaurant called to confirm our reservation at 10:45 the prior night...which is somewhat bizarre. Is there a manager? Why is this process so fundamentally broken?

   Pros: great authentically Spanish dishes, good drinks at the bar Cons: had a reservation yet ended up having to wait for close to an hour for a table while crammed in along the wall by the bar, inattentive and rather rude service by the host considering the inexcusable wait, restaurant is clearly understaffed and voluntarily overbooked TLDR: not going back and wouldn't recommend, unless restaurant stops wildly overbooking
