Some previous reviewers had described this restaurant as "dead" but the food good. It is true that this restaurant is dead. On a Friday evening, 2 other diners were in the restaurant when we arrived (they hadn't had anyone to wait on them for a long time). No one to seat us for 5 minutes. Then the waitress/busboy/maitre d' (actually the waitress wearing all hats) arrived and seated us. We ordered all the house special tapas and paella. Everything arrived very quickly (too quickly really if these dishes were prepared to order). The tapas were fine - nothing to write home about - but just edible. The paella, which we were told we should order at the start of the dinner because it would take some time to prepare, showed up immediately following the tapas. Way too little time for this paella to have been prepared to order. The paella was terrible. The rice was dry and oily, the seafood (just a few mussels, clams and shrimp) tasteless and not fresh, the supposed meat, sausage, etc. was virtually absent. The Sangria was drinkable but also nothing that would make you go especially to this restaurant. The restaurant is in a dive hotel right next to the freeway, which would be ok if the food was something special. But it's not, in fact it's a 2-3 on a scale of 1-10. And because the food is poor, there are no patrons, and because there are no patrons, they apparently can't buy/invest in fresh food, tasty ingredients or anything that would make you feel like you are not getting yesterday's leftovers re-heated. Vegas is really hurting for a top-notch Spanish (Spain) restaurant. We've frequented the top of the line Strip restaurants, but have never found anything that can match true Spanish food, esp. paellas and even Sangria. We've had 10 times better in Spain. We hoped this might be special, but it's the opposite and they are in their last throes or so it feels.

Barcelona in Southern Highlands is out-of-business!!! These people never answered their telephone ! We went to FireFly instead!!! Great food !!!

Fantastic restaurant, romantic atmosphere, friendly staff, chef prepares healthy and fresh Spanish style Tapas, would highly recommend this restaurant to any couple of any age looking for a unique and romantic dining experience.
Would have given 5 stars overall but kitchen was slow with order. Waiter placed order promptly but kitchen didn’t receive it d/t their machine being out of paper... something kitchen should know to watch.

Shocking to say the least. Our reservation was confirmed but the restaurant was closed. We were advised by a hotel staff member that the owner decided to close for the evening without giving reason. With no regard and utter disrespect for booked and confirmed patrons this business does not deserve any support.
Great hide away even the local Ubers need to do a double take the hotel the bar and the restaurant is eclectic. the food taste great. this is a hidden gem.
I use reviews as a guide, this place is not the highest, but in my opinion this place deserves a taste and then make your own opinion. I was pleasantly surprised.
We were the only couple in there, probably b/c it was late and the dinner rush ended. Our waitress took good care of us. The food was out quickly. Oh man, the fried goat cheese was amazing. I also had the pork empanadas and they were tasty. Our waitress comped a sangria just because. Very nice people, great food, nice looking restaurant.

The food was very good but the atmosphere was a bit depressing-- the hotel was empty, we were the only ones in there- and it was just not a fun lively space to eat.
The restaurant, with absolutely no personality, is located adjacent to the hotel's noisy bar, complete with live music. Nothing like what was expected or described on the promo.
That said, the food was good and the staff were nice.
Best kept secret in Vegas. Food is made from scratch, fresh while you wait. Incredible Spanish food. Does take a bit longer than usual, but worth it for the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen!!

Restaurant is on the outskirts of town in the Artisan Hotel Boutique which is a very cool hotel with an old world vibe. Don't let the exterior surroundings keep you from trying this place out. Delicious tapas. Extensive menu with a wide variety of tapas from seafood to various meats/ hot & cold/ and salads too. The tapas came out slowly, which is part of the experience, so be patient because its worth it. I will definitely be going back the next time I visit Las Vegas.
We were surprise it was unexpected the restaurant off the strip but worth it the hotel was another surprise there so much to look at that the waiting flew by. If you like tapas this is a great restaurant to go

If I could review less than 1 star I would . This was a special event, coming into Las Vegas. Timing was everything as we also had concert tickets and our plane was late.
Hours before I received a text from establishment cancelling my reservation as the 'establishment would not be available from 3pm - 9pm' (i.e. someone more important that me and everyone else bought the place out for a 6 hour block). Offered no alternatives at first. Did end up offering only a booking at their establishment a ways away that would not work.
I get it. Its Vegas. My special event was not as important as someone else special event - but Iall the special events they did not know about that was to occur that night might not have been more important than $.
My recommendation if you want to book here is - Book your reservation, but also book another place!
Food was good but service was horrible. There were only two waitresses working in a nearly full dining room. The bar is outside of the restaurant so they had to go back and forth whenever someone ordered a drink. We waited ridiculous amount of time to have our order taken. We ordered a number of different plates at once but for some reason they came out of the kitchen one at a time. The table sitting across from us however got all there food at once. They also ended up forgetting one of the items we ordered. By the time we go it we were just annoyed and wanted to leave. We also had to ask for the check twice before we received it. A couple next to us waited so long to have their order taken they just ended up walking out. The restaurant was also messy. There was no busser to clean up the dirty tables. I'm sure if this place had been properly staffed it would have been way better.

Really good food and great service. They had live music but it was pretty loud considering the restaurant is not that big. They might not want to mic up all of the instruments....would be plenty loud without the added amplifiers.
The seafood paella was very good the date and croutes appetizer was also very good
Found this restaurant on Open Table, it was close to where we were staying, so we thought we would give it a try. On a Tuesday night at 9pm we were the only people there. Prices were very reasonable, there were lots of interesting choices on the menu. I especially enjoyed the tuna and the house salad. We ordered paella and the waiter was very accommodating in offering the meat separately since I am a vegetation and my dining companion is not. The food was good and our server was very helpful.
Both the food and the service were excellent. We usually go to Barcelona in Southern Highlands but decided to try their new location at the Artisan Hotel. Must say it was once again a great dining experience. The stuffed dates are amazing and do give the Bananas Foster a try. So glad we did!
We were the only diners in the place, but it was a weird time (3:30pm). It was a great lunch before our flight and the sangria (both red and white) was awesome! Try the white sangria with Tropical Red Bull - sooooper good (and I am not a Red Bull fan).
Mi wife and I liked the decor and ambiance. The staff, T was wonderful and very attentive and so was Pilar. We have a condo nearby, and we plan to go back whenever we can.
The food was also very tasty, but we have to try other dishes.
